One of the world's best hotels - in Delhi!
Review of Imperial Hotel, New Delhi by  koshkha

Advantages: A landmark hotel
Disadvantages: It's a long way from home

...- the architect between the creation of New Delhi. The architectural style is described as a blend of Victorian, Old Colonial and a dash of Art Deco. SBS Ranjit Singh's motor car is still parked outside the hotel and, if my photos upload properly, it should be included in the pictures at the end of the review. What did it cost and how did we book? ******************************** We paid $220 (approx £120) for one night at The Imperial. This rate was for an 'Imperial Room' (the smallest and least expensive option) and included breakfast for two as well as airport transfers on arrival and departure. As we weren't going back to the airport, they gave us a car to take us to our next hotel instead without any quibbling. Bearing in mind that most hotels will charge a minimum of 1000-2000 Rupees (about £12-£25) for airport pick up, this made... Read review

Brooklands Hotel
Review of Brooklands Hotel, Bournemouth by  Jordon

Advantages: See review
Disadvantages: None

...a choice of having dinner which is all home cooked by their chef. The room I stayed in was room 29: The room is a perfect size, plenty of room either side of the bed. We had a dressing table, with mirror, tea and coffee making facilities, wardrobe, Draw unit plus a bed side unit a combined TV/DVD player. En suite shower and toilet. You get provided with towels too. The Hotel is very clean and tidy with friendly helpful staff. They have various rooms including Double’s, Twin’s, Triple and Family rooms all with en-suite facilities. The Tariff depends on the time of year you are staying; it can be as little as £25.00 per person per night for bed & breakfast. Breakfast is served between 8am and 9am Check in time is from 2pm Check out time is 10am All in all, we had a wonderful stay I would go their again and again. The Hotel... Read review

Plenty of room at the inn and a massive bed too!
Review of Ibis Hotel Manchester, Manchester by  shazzaspannered

Advantages: Great price, fantastic location, lovely room with the best shower ever!
Disadvantages: Can be a bit noisy on Sat nights

...with two glasses. The bed was massive, it was supposed to be a double but I think it may have been a queen sized bed as there was so much room in it even with me and Dave laid in it. It was easily the biggest bed I have ever experienced in a hotel and it was extremely comfortable. The only gripe I had was that the covers weren't quite thick enough but then I am always freezing cold and love the comfort of a big fluffy duvet on my bed! There was a control unit for the heating in the room so you were able to raise the temperature slightly if you wished to - I decided against that as Dave is always warmer than me and he would've roasted had I have turned it up! On Saturday morning we decided to grab some breakfast as we knew we would have along day ahead of us. We were in two minds over what to do - whether to have the buffet breakfast... Read review

Marriott Hotel Peterborough
Review of Marriott Peterborough Hotel, Peterborough by  kate44

Advantages: Clean & very comfortable, good location, nice food
Disadvantages: None

...We stayed at this Marriott Hotel in Peterborough for the night about a month ago now because we had been invited to a friends wedding there at the hotel. This hotel has 162 rooms and it is a 3 star hotel. The location is really tranquil and the hotel is surrounded by really nice pretty gardens and large green fields. We paid £90 for a double room and we got a discount for being guests at the wedding, i think breakfast is at a small extra cost but im not 100% sure so you would need to chack this. Its set within 11 acres or so of grounds adjacent to Peterborough's Main Business Park, we found this hotel really easy to find and very well signposted. We found the staff to be really friendly but extremely professional and helpful at all times. We got checked in really quickly and within 5 minuites we were in our room... Read review

DRIFT AWAY on a 4-Star beach resort Hotel for LESS
Review of Oasis Beach Hotel, Dubai by  Connoisseur_Haggler

Advantages: Located on Jumeriah Beach, comfortable, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, SUPERB VALUE for money and quality for a 4 star hotel
Disadvantages: none really - if you get a sea view room

...arrival. This was by far the cheapest rate available costing us about 250 UAE Dir per room plus 10% tax (~ under £50 per room, equivalent to about £25 person plus taxes). There was a slight query over whether our rate included breakfast or not (according to Utell booking it did! but according to the hotel it didn't) but after showing the written proof of the e-mail confirmation printout with the reservation details we got the breakfast included. Oasis Beach Hotel often does Half Board offers which you will find if you book through a travel agent, in that way this hotel on a package could work out to be superb value for money with the highest of quality. Overall, the staff were most helpful and could see we had made a long journey and offered us seating in the lounge and told us they would have our room ready within a few minutes. We had... The Felbridge Hotel & Spa Hotel
Review of Felbridge Hotel, East Grinstead by  lilyellowfish

Advantages: Stunning decor, exceptional food, polite, friendly staff
Disadvantages: None

...is decorated brown and cream to match in with the rest of the hotel, this gives a calming, relaxing feel to it and the colours go really well together. The bed is centred with a bed side table on either side. The linen is white with brown and beige pillows and a throw on. The bed was so comfortable, really bouncy and soft. On one side of the room was a large patio window and door letting lots of natural light in, this took you onto a spacious balcony with the stunning views on the courtyard and gardens. On the other side of the room was a mirror on the wall and a table with the tea and coffee on and in the corner was the bathroom. The rooms were minamilistic which was lovely. The room was pure luxury and if this is what the standard room is, the other rooms must be exceptional! I have only seen the standard double room, so cannot give more... Read review

Disney's Hotel New York meets the big apple
Review of Hotel New York, Disneyland Paris, Paris by  nickjj78

Advantages: Great location and size
Disadvantages: Can be expensive!

...Hotel New York, Disneyland Paris The Disneyland Paris resort offers a number of hotel lodging options including the Davy Crocket Campsite, two value resorts (Hotel Santa Fe and the Hotel Cheyenne), 2 moderate resorts (Sequoia Lodge and the New Port Bay Club) as well as two premier hotels: the Hotel New York and the Disneyland Resort Hotel. I have been to Disneyland Paris on several occasions since the resort opened in 1992 and have stayed in 4 of the 6 hotels and my continued favourite for size, service and ease of access has always been the Hotel New York in recent years. How to book? There are many ways that you can book a holiday to Disneyland Paris but the most common way from the UK is a package deal that includes accommodation (room), breakfast and park passes for the two Disney theme parks (Magic Kingdom and Disney... A CONVENIENT BED (AND GARAGE) FOR THE NIGHT
Review of Hotel Piast, Boleslawiec by  RICHADA

Advantages: A Secure Garage For the Car! Excellent Food & Service. "Cold War" Ambiance.
Disadvantages: Not a Cheap Option. Some Grim Bedrooms.

...- Mrs R always calls home to let her parents know that we have arrived in Poland, it is very much cheaper using a hotel telephone for this purpose rather than an English mobile phone. In order to do this you have to call down to reception and ask for an outside line. The double room is large enough to accommodate a full size double bed, desk unit (this was after all a communist business hotel!), a small wardrobe and a stand for your suitcase - presumably businessmen only travelled with one! The elderly colour television is not very large - maybe an 18" screen - and is mounted high up on a bracket in the corner of the room. I used to laugh at the fact that the Televisions at the Piast were branded "Lexus" - this particular set had no brand label on it. The general décor is, well, to my eyes at least, a little grim. The old and coarse... Read review

Czech into this superb hotel
Review of Marriott Hotel, Prague by  mrpaella

Advantages: Excellent 5 star hotel
Disadvantages: Too posh for some people

.... On reaching the room I noticed that the room number was also written in Braille to help the blind. Normally check-in takes place after 3 p.m. but I saw people check–in at all hours in the day. HOTEL ROOM On entering the room the first thing to do was to insert the key card in a slot near the bathroom. This ensured that the electricity was switched on. The TV had a lovely message ‘Welcome to Mr and Mrs Kundu’ which was a nice touch. The room was spacious but not huge. The room resembled a 4 star hotel. The largest hotel room I have stayed in recent years was at the Sequoia Lodge in Disneyland Paris. There was a table with various hotel leaflets with a chair. There was also a comfortable sofa chair with accompanying footrest. There was plenty of wardrobe space. The bed was larger than a double bed. The pillows... Read review

Euro-gonna like this budget hotel
Review of European Hotel, London by  MarcoG

Advantages: Great location, affordable prices
Disadvantages: Dated decor!

..., the flooring and general feel of the place, was run down…the ambience was that of an old fashioned European café somewhere. It is was…alright. Restaurant rating (including staff): 6/10 PRICE ******************************************************************************** We paid £60 for one nights stay in a twin room, breakfast included. We actually had a double and a single bed, so we could have slept another in aswell and not tell the staff – making the room even cheaper – but that’s by the by and probably illegal. They take all cards from visa, to American express. For the location, it was well worth every penny. Price rating: 8/10 >>GRAND TOTAL FOR THE EUROPEAN HOTEL: 6.75/10<< (54/80 to be exact) WOULD I STAY THERE AGAIN? ****************************************************************************** Quite...
