I was slightly apprehensive about my wife and worried about my in-laws (when they come to visit us). I thought it might be too techie thing for them. It turned out as a very simple to use. I have setup 4 activities - Sat1, Sat2, DVD and CD. You program it on Logitech site using web interface and then sync your remote via USB cable. Sony Official PS3 SIXAXIS Wireless Controller

Advantages: Great Design
Disadvantages: No Dual Shock

...This is a great controller jus like the classic ps1/ps2 the design stayed the same. This is the perfect controller i can not say anything about the slick design. As you may know this controller is wireless so you may use it from newere in the room so no messy wires hanging around. And the batttery lasts very long i dont have to charge it very often but i dont play hours every day either. Only bad this about this controller is that unlike the ps1/ps2 controllers this does not have dual shock so no rumble :(.This is because sony could not get rights for the technology. Sony what happened? Well good news this controller is being released again next year as Dual Shock 3 is comming out. ...I have a complex AV system that has separate audio and video signal paths. This makes switching sources a nightmare that involves multiple remote controls and a lot of concentration. I have tried many programmable remotes over the years (three in the last 2 years) and this Logitech Harmony product stands head and shoulders above the rest. The set up requires a PC or MAC. I found the software excellent. Initially the software asks for the make and model numbers of the devices you want to operate. Logitech have a huge library of devices (they claim 175,000+). If your device is not there it has the ability to learn from the original R/C. Then you can set up activities listing the devices involved and the initial setting for each. Logitech Harmony 525 Advanced Universal Remote

Advantages: Control many devices using Infrared - easy to setup

...The Logitech Harmony 525 Advanced Universal Remote is used to control multiple devices in audio and visual systems (ie your tv, video, digital box, music players etc) Currently we use one to control an AV receiver, digital box and projector. Personally i think this is the best one i've used. Although initially to set up takes a bit of time (you have to load a program onto a computer and then add devices to the remote using the provided usb cable), the time it saves in day to day use and the practicality of one remote makes it a worthwhile task. Sixaxis controller

...I have owned a playstation 3 for a number of years now with a sixaxis controller. The controller is extreamly suffisticated as well as all of the normal buttons which are used for conventional gameplay it also contains a gyroscope which monitors its position and movements in six axis, clever hey. The sxiaxis motion control offers a new way to play games and makes things more interesting and more challenging. For example when playing a racing game with a friend and we get a little bored we may play a game where we just use the motion control which makes it alot more challenging and adds alot of amusement. Some of the best games I have found to use with the sixaxis include Super Rub a Dub very entertaining no matter who you are. ...I don't think there's that much that can be said about this specific product...it's a controller. However, I'll give an account of my experiences of this controller over the past two years. I got two of these sixaxis controllers free with my PS3 so was able to rotate between using one and charging the other, hopefully allowing me to prolong the usability of the contollers. Unfortunately, after about a year and a half ( and many hours of use, 200+ ) the left analogue stick on both controllers began to squeak and stick. I'm pretty sure the analogue bashing involved in Beijing Olympics contributed highly to this. The main disadvantages of this for me is when I'm playing Call of Duty and I'm hiding behind an object and without realising have begun slowly moving out into the open. ...I purchased the Nintendo Wii after weeks of searching the internet for a shop that hadnt sold out and once i found one available i bought it immediately. The package came with Wii sports and a remote controller and i have to say that i was quite impressed. The controllers work well with the console and in particular with wii sports. The biggest issue that i have with the remote is the battery issue. Whilst the batteries do last a long time when installed, to keep replacing them costs a fortune. I also have had this problem with my xbox 360 wireless controllers and would recommend anybody who was buying the controllers to also consider a quick charge kit to accompany it. The unit is very responsive and works very well, this depends on where you put the sensor that is supplied with the wii so make sure that you read the manual carefully...

...This is an absolutely great remote given it's cost. I used to have an One for All Kameleon which cost a lot more money than this. Setup was very very easy using the Software given and within 30 minutes I had a remote control which did exactly what I wanted. I use this to control my TV, Amplifier, BluRay DVD, Xbox 360 and Virgin Media Box. Every function of each device is catered for on the remote and the ability for the remote to transmit to more than 1 device at a time without having to switch any settings on it is fantastic. There are a couple of downsides to this remote. The first is the screen is very small in comparison to some others and scrolling through the pages to get to some of the more unique features of a device can be a pain, but overall this is great and well worth the investment...

...a very good controller. The controller can be brought from any good gaming shop or online from retailers like Amazon or play.com and costs around £28. There are other controllers on the market which are cheaper, but as yet none offers a rumble pack. Design wise the layouts are simiar as well, so if you buy a TechNet TP3-333 controller you will find that it's very similar to Sony's. It's really down to whether you prefer sticking to Sony where you know what you'll get or trying a cheaper option, which may be as good. Your choice....
