Universal Studios Orlando>>> Best Holiday

Advantages: Really uncrowed at nights, Has alot of attractions, really sunny, cheaper than Disney World
Disadvantages: Really crowed through the days, the gifts can be dear $$$

...My Holiday in 2008 to Universal Studios Orlando When I first went into the Citywalk I thought that this park was going to be no good. Id rather have Disney. But when I got into the Universal I changed my mind it was great they had alot attractions! They were nearly all Simulators or Shows except for Woody the Woodpecker and the Revenge of the Mummy. <<<Rides & Shows>>> The rides where quite good in Universal they had Disaster Studios which was a show/Ride where you went into a room with an actor kind of and 10 or 11 people acted out a disaster and then they brought you on a tram and brought you under ground and more disaster happened and then it show you on a screen you acting out the disaster and on the tram! Then there was Shrek 4D where you were on a horse trying to saw Shreks wife Fiona, And the chairs moved and shrek...

Advantages: you get straight in to the films
Disadvantages: for adults not for small children

...Universal Studios is like stepping into a movie set of all times as you enter the park you will also see the cinema on your right hand side as you walk down the main city walk entrance with hard rock cafe and the nightclubs and the resturants and thats even before you hit the gates to get into the park. As we walked through the gates and showed our tickets and checked our bags we started of at the jimmy neutron 3d ride were you have to save the planet with help from jimmy and the gang. this ride gets busy so its best to start here and go all the way round. the ride was good as you bounce and twist and turns and very bumpy indeed. Across from the jimmy nutron ride is the shrek 4d ride another ride what familys can go on but another good ride as you sit in the the chair and let the action take places with your 4d glasses but watch...

Advantages: Everything in 1 park
Disadvantages: Need more than a day

...stomach out of your chest and retrieved your baseball cap off the rook of the lift the thing shoots up again and then once more crashes down. A real must. The other really good ride is the Aerosmith Roller Coaster. As with all the theme parks in Orlando the build up is as good as the ride. You meet the band in the recording studio and then onto the show in a streched limo. And boy does this limo move. The acceleration is unbelievable and then you flipped every which way and in the dark ( save for a few neon signs flashing by) There are loads of attractions at Universal so don?t think that Disney is the only thing Orlando has to offer...

Advantages: different, good fun, family day out, good value,
Disadvantages: can expensive for a family

...you priority on some of the more popular rides ( it is about an extra $15) but worth it as a one off, particularly if you have children, they will love it .. All in all we think Universal Studios are a 'must do' for visitors to Orlando and they are only 5 mins from International Drive ( close to Wet and Wild) admission is around $50 per person which is on a par with the other theme parks, and you can spend a good day there... On your exit you will come back thro' the Downtown area where there are night clubs, cafe's and shops which are all camera friendly and allow you to book a meal or watch a film in the mutiscreen cinema ..... Universal have really got their act together and we believe give you more for you money than Disney who have basically turned their Theme parks machine into a money grabbing activity, rather than a good...

...I visited in april but going again in February 2009. We are travelling from Manchester airport with virgin atlantic and staying on international drive. We found that there were plenty to do. We didn't ride the big thrill rides as I'm disabled but did all the shows as well as the other rides. With the water areas for the children and the playgrounds for them to play. It was very hot when we went and always used sun protection with my sun hat as well as taking on water to keep us cool going round the park. If you love the theme parks then you will love universal studios as the park is for the young and old and with two parks in one with islands of adventure with some new rides with the new simpsons ride what has just opened instead of the back to the future ride which closed months ago then you have all the other rides like jaws, men in...

...Yet another stop on my tour of Florida's theme parks with three of my friends was Universal Studios. Universal is linked to Islands of Adventure and we did both parks in one day due to limited time, although I'll review them separately. LOCATION: Universal Studios is in Orlando, Florida. As with most Orlando attractions it is fairly well signposted. You just need to get onto the I4, the main road through Orlando, and it is signposted off this. There is a ridiculous amount of parking available. Make sure you remember which character and which number you are parked in otherwise you'll be searching for that rental car for hours! Each section is named after a Universal character such as Spiderman, the Cat in the Hat and ET. PRICES: This is a theme park in Orlando so don't be expecting a cheap day out! You can buy lots...

Hollywood Studios

Advantages: Fun, brilliant for everyone
Disadvantages: Might be busy depending on time of year

...On my trip to Florida we had a day to spend at the MGM Studios which is part of Walt Disney World. However it is worth noting that as from the 1st of January this year (2008), the studios changed their name to Hollywood studios. Anyway I thought I would share my views on this park as it really is excellent and a great place for all the family to go. Entrance fees: Just a quick note on this but most UK customers will pre purchase their tickets to all the parks before going to Florida and this really is the best way to do it. On an average cost of £200 per adult, a 3 week ultimate ticket as they are called, will allow you access to all the Disney themed parks which include the Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon as well as giving free entry to some of the clubs...

Shop and dine at Universal City Walk!

Advantages: Great fun and things to do after a long day in the theme park
Disadvantages: Not as good as Downtown Disney

...What is it?? Universal City Walk is located at Universal Orlando in Florida, USA and is Universal's answer to the Downtown Disney complex at Walt Disney World. It is nowhere near as large as Downtown Disney, but nevertheless offers a ranges of shops, dining and entertainment experiences to keep you busy after a day in the two Universal theme parks. Universal City Walk is located between the two theme parks (Universal Florida and the new Islands of Adventure). If you walk out of either theme park you can't miss it!! Shopping There are quite a variety of shops here that are interesting to browse around and buy from, but as with shops at Walt Disney World, you won't find too many bargains!!
