Disadvantages: still expensive compared to outside london, lack of multifacet uni, budget in recent years

...If you're looking to study in london then SGUL is a good choice to make, probably second only to Barts. What attracted me to SGUL first was the amount of sincerity in its press. It offers an education based in the biggest hospital in london , and therefore the biggest amount of departments you can learn from. Everything you need for a medical education is nearby until you come to the inevitable clinicals years when everyone of course moves in and out of campus. Imagine having to travel in from halls for half an hour each way, or having to trek across london to get to see a doctor at Imperial and you'll soon see the advantage this offers. Advantages: Good student vibe, teaching standard.
Disadvantages: Area slightly run down, some outdated computer equipment

...there are big plans for its future. At present there are some interesting shops and some OK places to go. There is a nearby Tesco, Wetherspoons, Nandos, Lots of Banks, Iceland, WHSmith, Superdrug, Woolies, Boots and the Megabowl. These are to name but a few. There are some excellent transport links and loads of buses from every corner of each roundabout. The Train Station is a about two minutes from the college as is the Tube Station. Both the northern line and Bakerloo line serve the area. If you don’t like using the lift then use alternative transport methods. This is a very exciting time for the college. LCP and the other four colleges which make up the London Institute have recently been awarded University status. Congratulations to everyone who has made this possible. Advantages: cheap and chearful

...Down the Holloway road in London England is a university. I had been driving down this road for 15 years before hand and had not noticed it until I decided to apply to go there during my access to university course. As I was living close by in Central London it seemed ideal so ideal I did not even bother going to an interview at Hertfordshire University as it a waste of the train fair to even turn up I thought. I went and had a look around another London university at Roehampton however just to have a look see it was a catholic university so not really for me. As I received an automatic acceptance for UNL that was good enough for me I was going there! Another student on my access course went there and she is now a teacher.
