...I attended University of Ulster Coleraine about 5 years ago when I did my Bsc hons in Social Psychology. Overall, I found the course very enjoyable but hard work. The coursework is quite heavy, but interesting as there are modules on biopsychology, criminology, cross cultural psychology, sex and gender, and research methods to name but a few. The Uni itself is to be recommended to all potential students, it has a lot of facilities on site, there are two very good libraries and the staff are helpful, but busy. The uni is divided into Central and South buildings with south being accessed via a covered walkway so you don't get wet. The main building holds the bookshop, registry, library, shops, bank and launderette plus if my memory serves me right there are 3 different places to eat with the best being in the basement providing...

A Universal experience

...Yet another stop on my tour of Florida's theme parks with three of my friends was Universal Studios. Universal is linked to Islands of Adventure and we did both parks in one day due to limited time, although I'll review them separately. LOCATION: Universal Studios is in Orlando, Florida. As with most Orlando attractions it is fairly well signposted. You just need to get onto the I4, the main road through Orlando, and it is signposted off this. There is a ridiculous amount of parking available. Make sure you remember which character and which number you are parked in otherwise you'll be searching for that rental car for hours! ...I would not recommended this Uni, and would definitely think twice before spending or going into dept to get a degree from Westminster University. Getting the right degree from a good University these days is very important and Westminster University cannot provide it (again based on my experience). Below some general thoughts after attending business related degree from that University. I have graduated with business degree. Very low level of teaching. I have started similar degree outside the UK, where level of teaching in secondary school could be more intellectually challenging than attending majority of core modules throughout this degree. Review of Westminster University

Faculty of Informatics - Jordanstown

Advantages: Constantly updated course with good facilities
Disadvantages: Could be more options available on the Computing Science course

...The best University in Northern Ireland if not the whole of the UK for studing Computing Science. The course is reviewed all the time and input from the students is taken on board. Changes in the course do reflect the needs of industry and this is a good thing. The technologies and hardware available is the best the that I have seen and heard of. I would recommend that if you wish to take on an undergraduate Computer course you check out the University of Ulster. Computing courses are offered in Magee, Coleraine and Jordanstown....

...Despite my last order through the catalogues being a while back due to the appalling service provided by La Redoute I do still browse through them when the big heavy books lands on the doorstep. Last week that book was the Great Universal Spring Summer 08 edition allowing you until the 17th August 2008 to make your purchase. "Spread the cost with affordable payment options," screams the green circle of text on the lower left hand side of the page. Flicking through I am amazed at how expensive catalogue clothes have actually got compared to the same items in the high-street. Never the less I systematically fold over the corners of any page which shows an item I wish to purchase, but my bank balance refuses to allow, something I do with every catalogue, just in case someone else happens to flick through it and wish to buy me something...

Worcester University

Advantages: Accomodation, Student Union, Sports, Clubs, Library, IT, History

...I've been here getting on for around a week now and I must say that I have had an excellent time so far. Before accepting the offer to go Worcester I travelled to it to investigate it and to see if it was for me. After travelling around some of the other universitys that I got into I came to the conclusion that this one was more for me conpared to any of the others. Size ********* I've found that its small which makes it quaint in my eyes and from my opinion however I find a city that is huge can be a little too big and can appear scary and overwhelming at times. Review of Worcester University

A decent university.

Advantages: Nice location, close to town, has almost everything, campus uni, good place in the rankings.Has improved rankings and quality/reputation in a lot of subjects,-esp. sciences.
Disadvantages: Still hasn't got rid of the 'polytechnic' image, guilford locals being a bit 'snobby'

...I didn't particularly enjoy my time there but looking objectively, I can honestly say that it is a decent university. COURSES: Everything is very organised, most of the degree courses are modular and it will be quite easy to follow the syllabus and get yourself ahead and organised if that is how you like to work. I studied Chemistry and over the last few years the facilities and the quality of the course had improved dramatically, it used to be one of the less well off departments, but now it is one of the best, although obviusly, still lagging behind Oxbridge and that of other traditional redbricks. The strongest departments at the uni are probably Music, Psychology, Biosciences, Engineering and Business Studies. Law is not far behind either. Ulster Bus

Advantages: gets the job done, reasonably priced
Disadvantages: can be delayed and made late, buses need updated

...I have been travelling to university since the start of this university year in September. The service gets me from A to B, but some times there is the odd delay or one bus is late leaving me late on the next, so late for class, though traffic is so unpredictable that you cant really be annoyed about the service. The bus drivers are all friendly and are good at their jobs in my area, they seem to have it down to an art of getting people onto the bus as quickly as possible. The buses can sometimes be a bit run down and shabby, with ripped seats covered in graffetti and rubbish in between the seats on the smaller journey that I take to get to the main bus station in my area, though the Goldliner Express bus is a much bigger bus with bigger seats and more leg room, these buses take you on larger journeys like to the citys etc. I...

...As part of my recent holiday in the USA, I spent a day at Universal Studios Hollywood. I had visited the Florida version of the studios some ten years ago, and although the memories of that trip are somewhat faded by time, I can safely say that the Hollywood studios were superior, due to the fact that they are a working film studio. Situated in LA, in the Hollywood Hills, the studios are not in the area of the city where most of the attractions and theme parks (Disneyland etc.) are situated. This area, Anaheim, is where the majority of tourists may find themselves staying, and Universal is approximately an hour’s drive from here.
