Unreal Tournament- The best game on the PC?
Review of Unreal Tournament (PC) by
ConLepore
Advantages: The game has brilliant graphics and guns.
Disadvantages: The game has strong violence.
...Since I saw this product on the shelf this PC game (Unreal Tornament)
was a must buy for me. It had everything that I was looking for in a game. It had the the graphics of Goldenye mixed with the excitement of Quake 2. Unreal Tournament offers you a brilliant single and multiplayer option. Unreal Tournament can be played over the internet against another player in a different country. There are a number of modes which are accessible when selecting a single player game such as "capture the flag". Unreal Tournament also has the best guns to choose from and capture from the likes of a sniper rifle which by clicking on the right hand mouse button allows you to zoom in on the target to the likes of an atom bomb. You control the game by using the mouse and the keyboard. This game is a must buy, for me by just looking at the back of the cover...

UNREAL TOURNAMENT - It's still the best
Review of Unreal Tournament (PC) by
tby4
Advantages: solid graphics, good sound, fun, endless playtime
Disadvantages: slightly old... but you can't tell
...This game is in the highest quality of first person shooters... ever.
I could write this review in two words BUY and IT! I will, however, go into a little more detail than that.
Graphics:
Not the best graphics in the world... but everything that I would want anyway. Recently I bought Unreal Tournament 2004; although you can see a small difference in the quality of the graphics you notice a big difference in the smoothness and running speed of the game.
There is nothing wrong with the graphics at all. You can add extra affects to the gore which is quite fun, but all in all they are solid, good too look at nice graphics.
Sound:
The music is good. You could listen too it all day, and probably not have smashed up your computer. Computer Bofs would probably disagree, but I don't think that the sound from this game has been...

unreal tournament is the best shooter game
Review of Unreal Tournament (PC) by
fabs-online
Advantages: its very cheaply
Disadvantages: the game loaded a few minutes
...The new Unreal Tournament
I think that Unreal ist the best shooter game of the world. In these games you can play against bots or you can play the game in the internet or network. Unreal has a very god grafik. The sound is perfekt, too. I play Unreal Tournament every evenig with my friend or with my little brother. We have two pc's in our room and we can play over network. If I have time, I play it in the World Wide Web, too. You find many players, who wants to play with you. It wont be boring, if you play it every day. Many people thinks, that unreal is very expensive, but it isn't so. People under 18 years are not allowed to buy Unreal, because you are killing people.
You must have minimum:
- a 300 MHz prozessor
- 64 MB RAM
- and a god graficport (8MB)
Some cheats, if you cant play without:
-FLY = fly mode
-GOD = god...

Unreal Battle...ups...Tournament :D
Review of Unreal Tournament III (PC) by
tartupets
Advantages: The legacy of UT, graphics
Disadvantages: illogical storyline
...First of all, I have to say, that I own the PC version.
But nether the less, UT3 is carrying the proud name of Unreal Tournament.
UT3 is built on the UnrealEngine. This is recognized as the best engine ever. It delivers high quality graphics at low requirements.
So, UT3 has the following requirements:
Minimum System Requirements
Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista
2.0+ GHZ Single Core Processor
512 Mbytes of System RAM
NVIDIA 6200+ or ATI Radeon 9600+ Video Card (128 MB)
8 GB of Free Hard Drive Space
Recommended System Requirements
2.4+ GHZ Dual Core Processor
1 GBytes of System RAM
NVIDIA 7800GTX+ or ATI x1300+ Video Card(256 MB)
8 GB of Free Hard Drive Space
But now, of the game.
UT3 has the graphics of unbelievable size. Textures are finished to extreme and combined with proper lighting, it can look like real...

Unreal Tournament is just that, unreal
Review of Unreal Tournament (PC) by
shall
Advantages: graphics, gameplay, lastability, AI
Disadvantages: Sound, Specs
...The year is 2341, it has been 50 years since the founding of Deathmatch and you have been chosen to fight. The time has come to prove that you are the best, to crush your enemies, to win the TOURNEMENT!
Unreal Tournament began it’s career as a bit of an underdog, it was released at roughly the same time as Quake 3 and was expected to be a mere cynical pretender to the multi-player frag-fest throne. Ironically this fantastic game by Epic Games smashed all expectations when it was released and is now a definite contender to that very throne. Tournament is a well-designed, fast paced, beautiful game that has the best AI that I have come across to date.
The game does try to create a plot, with you as a contender in a brutally popular league of violence and really quite detailed histories and profiles for all...

So Good Its Unreal... Tournament 2004
Review of Unreal Tournament 2004 by
tby4
Advantages: lushous graphics, loads of maps, new game types, vehicles
Disadvantages: good computer needed to run cleanly
...in the 'above average' sound ratings.
Difficulty and Learning Curve:
Just as with the Unreal Tournament games before this has got a good learning curve. Personally i would say that it is a little easier at the bottom end of the scale, and also a little easier at the top end as well, but still near enough impossible for most people.
If you've ever played an Unreal Tournament game before, then you will know all the controls and most of the weapon, so no difficulty added there.
Multiplayer:
Personally i don't like it. If i want to play a multiplayer game i get the original Unreal Tournament game out, or i go for Battlefield 1942. Also, you need a monster of a PC to be able to run this game mulitplayer... and anything less than broadband is as jerky as something that is very jerky.
Although having said that, there are a lot...

Unreal Tournament!
Review of Unreal Tournament 3 (UT III) (Xbox 360) by
themegmugster
Advantages: Pure Simple Style, Extremely Fun, Super Fast Gaming
Disadvantages: Lack of Numbers Online, Poor Online Lobby System
...I loved the very first Unreal Tournament, I had it on both PC and Dreamcast, I wasn't into online gaming back in those days but it was good enough to engross me in the regular campaign and to just mess around with bots. Since those good old days the more recent Unreal Tournament games have been a bit of a let down in my opinion: For example, Unreal Tournament 2003 was a waste of time, in my opinion the guns got worse, and the game wasn't as simple and quick as it used to be. Things livened up when Unreal Tournament 2004 was released, with the addition of vehicles, this game provided a good romp but wasn't as adrenaline pumped and pure havoc as the original title.
When Unreal Tournament 3 was set to be released I was optimistic, I believed that finally there would be an excellent follow up to the great original. The story in Unreal...

Are you for real? this is an Unreal Tournament
Review of Unreal Tournament (PC) by
davidcraig_2004
Advantages: Fast engine, smooth gameplay
Disadvantages: sound effects
...Unreal Tournament published by Infogrames was released in 1999.
Unreal Tournament is a shoot 'em up game featuring multiple game modes such as capture the flag assault and deathmatch.
Game modes:
Capture the flag - both teams start with a flag at their base. The object is to take the enemy flag to your base while protecting your own flag.
Assault - each map has a few set objectives, there is an attacking team and a defending team, to win you first have to assault the base then you have to defend, if you manage to do both you have won.
Deathmatch - this is a free for all mode in which the first player to score a certain amount of frags wins.
Team Deathmatch - the same as deathmatch only all frags add to your team score apposed to an individual score.
Domination - this game mode is original to Unreal Tournament...

Unreal Tournament IS Unreal!
Review of Unreal Tournament (PC) by
mattmajor
Advantages: Great Graphics and Gameplay
Disadvantages: Incredibly Long Startup Times
...Unreal Tournament (UT) is the first of a new generation of shooters to appear. Quake III: Arena just came out over the weekend and Team Fortress 2: Brotherhood of Arms. But those two games have a lot of catching up to do ...
UT is the underdog, probably because of the poor multiplayer performance in Unreal. But Unreal had an incredible graphics engine, far superior to Half-Life's (TF2 is based on this) or Quake II. And UT's engine is basically a revved up Unreal engine.
It shows. Detailed character models, great lighting effects and lush textures show the incredible horsepower in the UT engine. But that's not all ... the most important question is, how is the gameplay?
There is a single-player tournament that you basically use to train. You play against Bots which are the most intelligent I've seen. They'll hide, fire wildly...

TOTALLY UNREAL
Review of Unreal Tournament (PC) by
MDFK_uk
Advantages: VERY COOL, good multiplayer play
Disadvantages: Stupid weapons, totally unrealistic (maybe that's why it's called Unreal???)
..., I felt a little redeemed when I heard how much that game blew in the online department. I tend to hold grudges like that. Maybe it's fate, maybe it's irony, maybe it's an editor with a sick sense of humor, but here I am reviewing the newest installment of this notorious title, Unreal Tournament. Now I hate to say it, but this one's kinda dope.
For those of you out there who don't know what Unreal Tournament is all about, let me lay it down for you. It's the not-so-distant future, and the inhabitants of Earth are bored. Along comes this group called Liandri, which says, "Hey, we're going to have these big tournaments where guys and gals blow each other up in big arenas." The earthlings love it, they make the arenas really cool, and they decide to never again watch Everybody Loves Raymond.
That's pretty much all there is to the plot...
