...I love this idea, whoever thought this up is a genius. A lot of families have storage problems my main pain in the backside is lack of room for excess bedding that i keep spare for guests and what not, So this is magnificent, how the air can be sucked out of the bag with any pipe vacuum cleaner and reduce the size of package to less than a quarter of the size. Brilliant for duvets and pillows i might add and to top it all off it keeps all those bugs away and when you do unpack them they smell as good as the day you washed them and put the items in there. Excellent I would rate these to anybody you can even use them for going abroad and storing your much loved items and reducing space which we all know must happen when traveling on a plane think of the goodies you can bring back !! What a Sucker!!

Advantages: Gives you loads of extra space, clear so you can see the contents inside
Disadvantages: None at all

We had no time to wait for a delivery though so we decided to go out to the shops to see if we could find some. We have a (very small) branch of Lakeland Plastics near to where we live. So, we drove out to see if they sold any. They did ? but we underestimated the cost. Lakeland were selling them for £14.99 for a measly two bags. We reckoned we?d need about four times this amount and we simply didn?t have enough...

Great idea....in theory

Betterware (£13.99) V Superdrug (£4.99)no contest!

...I had decided to buy some of those vacum storage bags from the tv shopping channels. You know the ones i mean out all your spare bedding, clothes, towels soft toys ect in the bags suck all the air out and they store in a lot less room and are safe! The only problem was that they were quite expensive especially when you add the postage costs in to the price, so when my betterware catalogue was delivered a few weeks ago and I noticed they had started make these vacum bags I got very excited and ordered 3 packs. Betterware bags ****************** Each pack has 3 bags in it 1 large (55 x 85 cm) and 2 jumbo (60 x 105cm) Each pack cost £13.99. These are different to the bag on tv and I have to say different isn't better! They are quite a thick plastic which feels very sturdy, the problem though is with the sealing system or not...

Swan 1800 watt bagless upright vacuum cleaner.

Advantages: powerful, robust,
Disadvantages: tacky onboard tools, difficult to clean top filter,scratches wood flooring.

...Purchased this from catalogue as a replacement for my 6 yr old Dyson. Overall the hoover is fairly robust. The extra wide slim brush bar is handy especially for getting under edges of furniture. It does its job. I found the powercord to be shorter than expected and have to change plug sockets fom room to room. Its awkward to clean out the filter especially the top one due to not been able to get your hand in to grab the leftover fluff etc which is remaining after emptying and tends to blog up your filter quickly during use, causing loss of suction. This needs to be checked often especially if you have a moulting dog, causing it to build up rapidly. The onboard tools are handy though slightly small and tacky. The turbine brush which clips into the handle is also robust and very powerful,it can be used by attaching onto the hose to clean...

...? ~~*~~ Probably not - as it's lightweight and floats effortlessly across your carpet. However, your ears may suffer a bashing from the noise it emits - at first it scared puppy Doughnut but now she just sits there with little cottonwool balls sticking out of her oversized ears. It's easy to change the hoover from upright to 'hoovering' position and similarly easy to turn on and off so that shouldn't injure even the most fragile person. The fact that it's bagless is most definitely its saving grace and it holds an ample 1.5 litres which means unless you're a dirty cow like moi, you're not emptying too often. It's very easy to empty - just unclip the dirt holder section, take to bin and press button to release the bottom of it. NB: make sure you remember you're not at your mums where you usually press the button to undo the top only to find that...
