Damn good Hoover . . .

...that is what Hoover are charging, and they do that because we, the customers, are willing to pay it. Your best buy would appear to be online, just remember the cost of postage. Portability is good, it is easy to carry, light, and not too long or bulky. This type of machine is good for cleaning carpets, upholstery and other surfaces, useful to have upstairs as a second cleaner. It does have a selection of tools, including the obligatory "crevice tool". The cleaner holds the old fashioned bag, which seems to work well. The mains lead seems long enough for most homes. I still think of this item as coming off the set of a new Star Wars movie, does it really need to be that aerodynamic? It does have to be said that it makes a noise, not a great deal decibel-wise, but the sound is not a pleasant onem perhaps it is time...

...I love this idea, whoever thought this up is a genius. A lot of families have storage problems my main pain in the backside is lack of room for excess bedding that i keep spare for guests and what not, So this is magnificent, how the air can be sucked out of the bag with any pipe vacuum cleaner and reduce the size of package to less than a quarter of the size. Brilliant for duvets and pillows i might add and to top it all off it keeps all those bugs away and when you do unpack them they smell as good as the day you washed them and put the items in there. Excellent I would rate these to anybody you can even use them for going abroad and storing your much loved items and reducing space which we all know must happen when traveling on a plane think of the goodies you can bring back !! ...young teen took to it easily, always a good thing!! It has one year guarantee, with an extra 4 years on parts, but you pay labour (has to be repaired by Hoover at Hoover prices). They also offer you 4 years labour insurance at about £180, to be arranged within 30 days. What I like best is the big drum size, quick 15 minute wash, very high spin, and fact that the drum is quite high so loading isn't such a strain on the back. The porthole is very wide and the door opens wide, although not to a full 180. All in all I think it was a sound buy. I paid £359 from a local dealer including delivery and installation and taking away all packing. I could have probably got it cheaper from a big online store but I like to support local firms and knew they would give a trustworthy service as I have bought from them before. ...My last washing machine broke down a few weeks ago and after a painful 13 days my new Hoover was delivered, no it is a washing machine just made by Hoover. I bought it from Littlewoods catalogue and it cost me £299. Setting up and installation First I had to remove all the plastic packaging and polystyrene and place the washing machine near its permanent position. Next I cut the cable tie that was holding the hose in place. Then I removed four big long fixing screws in the back of the washing machine and covered them with a cap that was provided. Next to fix a bit of insulation sheet to the bottom of the machine with some double sided sticky pads and a couple of plastic caps. I did not need to adjust the feet as the washing machine was stable and did not hop across the floor. It only has a cold fill so only one hose to fit...

Hoover Dustmanager Bagless Upright Cleaner.

Advantages: Extra long stair hose.

...This hoover looks great but Im a little disappointed with it. The flex is shorter than an old hoover model that broke down after 11yrs of service. The handle seems shorter. Also you can't feel the suction from the front of the cleaner, I know im comparing it with the old model but I can't help it. The tools are in an inconvenient place at the back of the hoover because it make's it difficult to reattach the hose after stair cleaning. ( They get in the way). The bagless cassette you empty is small and for a larger house needs emptying at least twice. I have a black lab and we get alot of dog hair's i found it annoying not only emptying the cassette but also the pull out filter as it got clogged up with dog hair's , I accidently sucked up a grape and found that in the filter and not in the cassette , so watch you don't hoover up...

Vax V006 turboforce upright vacuum cleaner

...This cleaner arrived in a box in three pieces, the instructions were not very clear but the pieces were simple enouch to work out how they should be assembled. On first use the main thing noticed was the noise, this is not a quiet vacuum for when the children are in bed. The turboforce and rotating brushes were brilliant at lifting the pile and picking up the pet hairs, fantastic i thought, but shame abouth the sound. The cable is very long so from one room to the next it is very easy to move without having to relocate the power supply. All was well although with such good pick up the waste container was soon ready for emptying. This can be a messy task as the filter needs taking out and manually tapping until it is clear of debris. ...Purchased this from catalogue as a replacement for my 6 yr old Dyson. Overall the hoover is fairly robust. The extra wide slim brush bar is handy especially for getting under edges of furniture. It does its job. I found the powercord to be shorter than expected and have to change plug sockets fom room to room. Its awkward to clean out the filter especially the top one due to not been able to get your hand in to grab the leftover fluff etc which is remaining after emptying and tends to blog up your filter quickly during use, causing loss of suction. This needs to be checked often especially if you have a moulting dog, causing it to build up rapidly. The onboard tools are handy though slightly small and tacky. The turbine brush which clips into the handle is also robust and very powerful,it can be used by attaching onto the hose to clean...
