Review of Beko ZSA436 by
tigerthecat
Advantages: A rating for efficiency, Quiet, inexpensive
Disadvantages: Not frost free
...I would like to start this reveiw with some tecnichal details about this freezer.
Energy Efficiency: A Rated
Power Consumption: 210 Kwh per year.
Net Capacity: 96Lt/ 3.4 cu ft
Operating Noise Level: 38db
Freezer Rating: 4 star on all compartments.
External Operating Lights.
This is a free standing freezer with four internal compartments. Has fast freeze and normal. Is a very inexpensive freezer I paid just £169 and is etremely quiet when running. It has a very good capacity and holds plenty of food. Food will stay frozen for up to 13 hours if the motor should fail. It has a low power consumption and low noise level.
I bought the silver but it is also available in white.
I cannot comment on Beko customer service as I have had no problems with this freezer. I bought it 3 years ago and it has never broken down.
The only...

Ultimate uprights - but overpriced
Review of Steinway Upright Pianos by
scoobyman
Advantages: About as good as uprights come
Disadvantages: Ridiculous pricing - more than most grands
...As mentioned in other review on Steinways, these pianos are by far the best money can buy. No other brand can come close to the level of quality these pianos’s offer. The upright series is essentially a very good piano.
It is basically the same as the Steinway grand’s in many ways, with an excellent touch and feel. The advantage of having an upright is simply the space saved. If space is a problem, this has to be the ultimate upright piano series from which to choose.
The sacrifice of moving from grand to upright is the sound. Though this is in my opinion one of the best upright pianos, it still can’t come anywhere near to a grand. The range of sounds and the tone is not quite there. I also feel that these pianos are grossly overpriced. My advise is to clear out that old table, spend an extra couple of thousand and go...

Yamaha Upright Pianos
Review of Yamaha Upright Pianos by
johnalderton
Advantages: Quality and cost.
Disadvantages: Doesn't quite have the status of the similar size Steinway piano.
...I have been able to compare the largest Yamaha Upright with the equivalent pianos from Steinway and the mass produced Boston (marketed by Steinway) These pianos look identical in size and shape.
If you are a serious musician, and you keep in practice, you will probably prefer the Steinway. This has a firm touch, giving an experienced player a wider dynamic range and range of expression.
The Boston is identical, but about half the price of the Steinway, and has a lighter touch.
The largest Yamaha upright is also identical, and has a lighter touch than the Boston. It is between a quarter and a third of the price of the Steinway.
Used Steinways and Bostons are rather difficult to locate, and if they have been reconditioned it is important to establish who has done the work, as a used piano is only as good as the technician...

Excellent upright
Review of Bissell 3750E Upright/Cylinder by
jalen1ethan2
Advantages: Great for hardwood floors, tile, or carpet
Disadvantages: none
...This upright was the first upright that I have bought. I always had a canister vacuum. This vacuum is great. I vacuumed the floor first with the canister then the upright. I filled the dirt cup in the Bissell with pet hair and lots of dirt. Very easy to empty and clean. You can also clean the filter with water. The vacuum is very quite and easy to move across the floor. Extra long cord so you can go twice the distance. Great for hardwood floors and tile floors. Very powerful suction with the hand held wand. Pretty llight for bring up and down stairs and has extra tools for doing the stairs and furniture. I would recommend this upright vacuum to anyone who is looking for a good vacuum,...

From Chest to Upright.
Review of Whirlpool AFG8071 by
durham_lass
Advantages: Ensures Food rotation. Easy Access.
Disadvantages: Door is stiff to open, needs two hands.
...After coming downstairs one morning to find our ancient chest freezer had given up the ghost we were forced to go shopping for a new freezer. Following a brief survey of the local shops we were dismayed to find the lack of large chest freezers on offer, and reluctantly decided on an upright freezer. Iceland were the only shop that had a reasonably good selection at reasonable prices(ours cost approx £370). Also they were the shop that could deliver the soonest(within 36 hours).
We chose the whirlpool AFG8071 as it was appealing to the eye. The structure was strong and sturdy to withstand constant handling by our 3 children. Inside there are 4 clear panelled baskets so that you can see what you are looking for at a glance. Two of these baskets are extra deep for larger items. The bottom basket you cannot see through...

The best freezer I have ever had
Review of Beko CS 460 FF Combi Fridge Freezer by
wednesdaygirl
Advantages: Plenty of room. No defrosting
Disadvantages: Very large
...At the beginning of last year my old fridge freezer showed signs of giving up the ghost. Actually it had been heading that way for some months but by the end of January I knew the end was near.
As I like to make sure I get my moneys worth I did quite a lot of searching around to make sure I got a good deal. What I wanted was a fridge freezer which had a lot of room in it as at that time there were 4 adults living in the house - 2 of whom were teenagers that could eat for England.
I eventually ended up at Currys where I came across the Beko Model CS460FF. This seemed to have everything I needed at a very good price. Unlike most of the other fridge freezers I had looked at which had either a large fridge with a smaller freezer or vice versa this actually had a large fridge and a large freezer.
The whole thing was in white...

My Favourite Freezer
Review of Bosch GSD 2801 by
Freespirit
Advantages: Sturdy construction, very efficient and eco friendly
Disadvantages: None
...I have owned a Bosch 2616 freezer for three years and it has been the best freezer I have ever had. The equivalent model now is the GSD 2801 which is appears to be even better. My freezer has a net capacity of 210 litres/7.4 cu. ft. and an EC efficiency rating of C. The GSD 2801 has a slightly larger capacity of 225 litres/7.9 cu. ft. and an energy rating of B with annual running costs of £26.32.
When we replaced our kitchen I decided to have a built in larder fridge and a separate free standing upright freezer which would be located in the new larder area of our kitchen extension.
Prior to this we have had two free standing fridge freezers. The first of unknown make was ‘built in’ to the kitchen when we arrived and I really liked its layout. The freezer area below was larger than the fridge area and it had drawers...

I am a Firdge Freezer
Review of Samsung SR-L3616B Fridge Freezer by
Champ666
Advantages: It is a Fridge and a Freezer
Disadvantages: I could do with a bigger freezer
...My oh so wonderfull landlord has just bought me one of these things cause the old fridge had blown up and it has a freezer too, thank you Mr Landlord.
I have only had this baby for a week and I am in love, I was that excited about having my own freezer that I ran out a bought a ice cube tray thingy only to find out that it had one in the top drawer of the freezer compartment, which seems to be the only usefull thing you can put in the top drawer.
There are three compartments in the freezer of the same size and most frozen products will fit niceley in them apart from frozen pizzas which have to be stuck in at a jaunty angle. You can also fit packets of square sausage in them as well, quite nicely.
There is quite a lot of storage spage enough to last me for over amonth in the freezer alone. Those of you with families may need...

Superb family sized fridge freezer
Review of Beko CDA647FS by
kitty1801
Advantages: Loads of space, Easy to move & clean, frost free!
Disadvantages: None
...not strictly true - comet offered us a "handy pack" of coca-cola ie 12 cans). We started looking online and a company called tukha.com had it for £261.97 delivered. We weren't sure of the reputation of the company though so used dixons' online price match. They agreed to charge £261.97 including delivery and 3 days later the fridge freezer arrived, saving us about £90 compared to the high street retailers. Dixons ask you to specify a day to deliver (you can pick a sat/sun for no extra) and the delivery company phone in the morning to let you know when they will come.
We plugged the fridge freezer in straight away as the delivery guys said it had been upright the whole time. First off, I noticed that the noise was minimal for such a large appliance. It's really quiet.
The fridge is at a great height - we now don't end up with soggy brown gunge...
