aquamark handheld steam cleaner
Review of Aquamark Handheld Steam Cleaner by
scribbelle
Advantages: low price,easy to store
Disadvantages: not powerful enough
...I purchased an aquamark handheld steam cleaner because I primarily wanted to clean my filthy stainless steel cookertop and my oven,I also thought that it would be useful to help me tackle a lot of other household chores.
I opted for the handheld version because they are a lot cheaper that the larger models and I dont have an awful lot of storage space.
The product comes with a number of different attachments for different types of job. There is a large hollow brush for upholstery, two smaller brushes labelled a and b to use for stubborn stains on for example work surfaces and bathroom surfaces..the labelling allows you to have a separate brush for these two rooms and is more hygienic. A small "sockette" made from elasticated towelling is provided and this slips over a triangular shaped head and is desingned for use on delicate areas ie...

ELECTROLUX Z350A HANDHELD STEAM CLEANER
Review of Electrolux Z350A Handheld Steam Cleaner by
JuanitaBanana
Advantages: LIGHT AND EASY TO USE
Disadvantages: DOES NOT DO SUCH A GOOD JOB ON ALL TASKS
...only take a few seconds, but it is a consideration.
Overall I was disappointed compared to some of the reviews but at the price I paid if I only used if for the clothing attachment it would be worth it. If you want a serious steam cleaner look for something else...

Vax V006 turboforce upright vacuum cleaner
Review of Vax V-066 TurboForce Power Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner by
leversidgem
Advantages: bagless, long flexible pipe attached, very long lead, good at getting up pet hairs
Disadvantages: cleaning filter, noisy, overheats
...This cleaner arrived in a box in three pieces, the instructions were not very clear but the pieces were simple enouch to work out how they should be assembled. On first use the main thing noticed was the noise, this is not a quiet vacuum for when the children are in bed. The turboforce and rotating brushes were brilliant at lifting the pile and picking up the pet hairs, fantastic i thought, but shame abouth the sound.
The cable is very long so from one room to the next it is very easy to move without having to relocate the power supply. All was well although with such good pick up the waste container was soon ready for emptying. This can be a messy task as the filter needs taking out and manually tapping until it is clear of debris. Don't do this in the house or all your hard work is wasted.
Unfortunately after what seemed...

A mean steam clean
Review of Polti Vaporetto 2400 Steam Cleaner by
LindaL
Advantages: Effective and environmentally friendly
Disadvantages: Expensive
...I bought my Polti steam cleaner around two years ago, then priced at £299, including the iron attachment and can honestly say it was worth every penny.
It looks rather like a large red cylinder vacuum cleaner, with a long electric lead and vacuum cleaner like attachments.
On first unpacking everything, it may seem a little daunting at first. There is, however, an excellent instruction book and very useful video to help.
These explain just how the Polti uses the power of steam, without any chemicals or cleansers, to remove dirt from almost anywhere in your home.
There are several benefits here-
Steam is more environmentally friendly than chemical cleansers and their packaging.
Bacteria is effectively destroyed by the high temperature used.
Long-term cost effectiveness can be achieved because of the true multi purpose nature...

Steam Through Your Cleaning Schedule!
Review of JML Handheld Steam Cleaner by
motodoughnut
Advantages: Cleans better than you couls imagine
Disadvantages: Bit heavy
...It was earlier this year that, about March time and I was getting really fed up with the state of my house, it was not dirty but some things I could not do anything with, for example the limescale on the shower cubical, no matter how much I scrubbed it i still could not get it off, I was not going to be beaten by this, so I bought a hand held JML Steam Cleaner.
THE STEAMER
I chose the hand held JML which cost me just under £50. With this particular Steamer you get a range of interchangeable tools these are, a rubber nozzle, 2 small round brushes and a big triangular shaped brush, I believe that you can buy other attachments separately. You also get a cleaning sachet; this is used to clean the nozzle if it gets blocked.
This Steam Cleaner looks much the same as other hand held steam cleaners, looks a bit like a big kettle...

Top-of-the-range, powerful and safe steam cleaning
Review of Polti Vaporetto 3000 Eco Pro Lux Steam Cleaner by
FilmfanUK
Advantages: Top-of-the-range, efficient and safe
Disadvantages: Dried-on grease needs a helping hand
...Overall, an efficient and powerful steam cleaner, with excellent safety features and tools for every job.
WHY I BOUGHT IT:
After struggling with a heavy, cumbersome wet carpet cleaner, I still wasn't happy with the results.
This particular model is top of the renowned Polti steam cleaner range and it promised to give a deep-clean performance on all carpets, soft furnishings, kitchen and bathroom surfaces etc etc. I was also attracted to the idea of deep cleaning without needing to use harsh cleaning products. Steam cleaning is much kinder to the environment as it only uses water.
MY EXPERIENCE:
THE PROS: I'm very happy with my purchase, most particularly with the in-built safety features which prevent scalding steam escaping accidentally from the machine.
The steam builds up inside the body of the machine to a very...

I' M ALL STEAMED UP!!
Review of Lervia Handheld Steam Cleaner by
weemam
Advantages: NO CHEMICALS USED TO CLEAN
Disadvantages: NONE AT ALL
...Here I go again .I wrote this Op last week then had to use go-back on the computer and now I to start again so here goes.
I have had this steam cleaner for months now and yet I had never thought about doing an opinion on it until I took it out today to do some cleaning for my Mum and Dad for Christmas
I bought it in Lidl’s a while ago for £20 and it’s the best £20 I have ever spent.
I'm sorry but it is only sold by Lidl as it is made especially for them by a german company .
For those of you who don’t know Lidl is a grocer shop but do sell special offers on other products, which vary twice a week and this one of the special offers.
The week after we bought ours the manager of the store told me that people had actually nearly come to blows over the last two left in the store :O)
It is described as...

Compact Steam Cleaning
Review of Vax V-081 Steam Cleaner by
saffron318
Advantages: lightweight and compact
Disadvantages: Little storage for tools
...Hi have had my steam cleaner a week now and used it on a variety of surfaces.
This steam cleaner is very compact the size of a very small cylinder vacuum cleaner and very light, I could lift it one handed no problem. We bought ours from Argos for £59.95. It came well packed but was hard to locate all of 15 accessory pieces as some were stuck to others. In the end I managed to locate everything.
It has a 1.6L water tank that you fill with a jug and a small funnel. The water tank has a "child proof" cap that prevents you unscrewing when the tank is hot preventing burns but does make it a little tricky to open.
Once you have filled the tank with water you plug the machine in and wait. Mine took about 10 minutes to get up to temperature, although you can shorten this by putting hot water in the tank to start with. Then you...

Steam Buggy - No Substitute for Elbow Grease
Review of Tri Star Steam Buggy Steam Cleaner by
dragz
Advantages: small machine, easy to use
Disadvantages: only 1/2hr worth of steam per use
...if I had not been wearing my rubber gloves. I attached the squeegee to the nozzle and filled the machine with the required water. I started on the windows which appeared to be incredibly dirty and there was a lot of black water dripping down the glass until I realised that it was in fact residual rubber from the squeegee. I’m not sure whether the patio window was cleaner before I started using the Steam Buggy, needless to say I went back to the old fashioned cleaning with hot water and kitchen roll. Now that definitely was a muffled giggle from my other half.
I’m not completely negative about the Steam Buggy I have found that using the steam nozzle allows you to blast off the limescale from around taps and from shower heads and it also lets you get into the smallest of places around taps and the like.
So, although I...
