...This album is a collaboration between McDermott's 2 Hours, often cited as a major influence on the levellers, and two of the levellers, namely Jeremy and Charlie. I bought this album because i love the leveller's music and was curious to see what this album was like and the first time i listened to it i have to admit to wondering what i had done! but then i listened to it again and realised, as the music and lyrics crept into my head and stayed there, that i had been mistaken, this was a very, very good album. Advantages: Exciting Adventure, Disaster Movie.
Disadvantages: Not great Special Affects Very 70's!

...The Poseidon Adventure, 1972, running time 177 mins approx. This weekend channel 5 showed the 1972 classic The Poseidon Adventure, I was so excited as it has been ages since I have seen it and I am planning on watching the latest version Poseidon opening in cinemas this week. The Story: It is New Years Eve and the S.S. Poseidon is heading from New York to Athens when a Sub Sea Earthquake in Crete sends a massive tidal wave heading straight towards the ship and turns it completely upside down. All the guests are in the ballroom celebrating the New Year when they are flipped upside down, the ceiling has now become the floor and floor complete with upside down table and chairs and Christmas tree is now the ceiling. ...I’ve got you intrigued by the title of this now haven’t I, but it’s true, to get the full flavour of this lovely stack of snacks you DO indeed need to eat them upside down. I’ve done a wee bit of research into this - OK, so I ate too many of these for my waistline, but if you’re going to review something like this then you need to taste a few first don’t you! ;-). For some reason Proctor and Gamble - the makers of Pringles - saw fit to put most of the flavouring on the ‘wrong’ side of the crisp – why the wrong side? Well think of the way up they arrive in the pack, and the shape of most mouths. If you just pop them in this way up the fit much more easily, but then you won’t get the full flavour because the seasoning is all on the top of the crisp! Turn it upside down, and suddenly your tongue and tastebuds get the full assault... Read review

...I’m a bit of a sucker for new products I spy on supermarket shelves. If there’s NEW written anywhere on the packaging, there’s a higher than average chance that this novel item will end up sitting in my trolley. There is however one guaranteed way for me to make a purchase; if the words ‘new’ and ‘Australian’ are both present, then I will buy it, no questions asked, no major in-store examination of whatever it happens to be. Now I’ve been buying Capilano honey for a while (and will extol it’s virtues to you all in this op), but what grabbed my maybe a touch Aussie-obsessed brain a couple of weeks ago was that this sweet spread was now available in a ‘new’ package…and the bugger’s upside-down. The lid’s at the bottom. Honest to G-D I’m not making this up, the entire idea of storing honey has been, quite literally turned on it’s head... Read review

...Introduction As part of my job occasional travel and stays away are necessary. This time it was a visit to Microsoft Campus in Thames Valley Park, Reading that meant I was going to spend a night in the Reading Whitley Travelodge. As it turns out its listed on Ciao so I'll make a review out of it - first hotel review that I've tried so please be gently with me. Finding it The address is 387 Basingstoke Road, Whitley. Tom (TomTom to give him his full name) has a pretty spot on idea where this is. The Travelodge building itself isn't visible from the road but you should be able to spot the sign. Travelodge's directions don't make particularly clear that what you are really looking for is a large Harvester called the World Upside Down - what a bizarre name. Advantages: You get Totally Pissed
Disadvantages: You prob End Up Pissing Yourself

...to hell is special about it. I open a can and drink it and nearly spit it out, its bloody minging, yukkkk, still its free so I drink it up. I look at the side of the can and see its 9 per cent. I have a laugh and think that its not that strong.. Anyway about an hour later and I have downed about 4 or 5 of these cans and I feel a bit drunk, in fact I can hardly stand. I go and sit in the corner but something weird is happening. The bloody seat is upside down and I am holding on to the seat in case I fall out of it. I am asking people to help me but all they can do is laugh and tell me to sober up........ Next thing I know I am waking up, its about 3 n the morning and my mouth feels like an Arabs jockstrap and my stomach is telling me to go to the toilet right away... It took me 3 days to get over Carlsberg Special Brew... Read review

Advantages: Great cast; DVD and video are cheap to buy

...and there are scenes of peril. People fall down into chandeliers and the ship is sinking all the time as the passengers have to make their way up through the bottom of the ship which is now upside down. It's difficult to explain exactly what happens without giving away huge chunks of the plot (in case anyone hasn't seen it) but the end scene with Gene Hackman when he falls is wonderfully ambiguous. It's literally like he's fallen or possibly jumped into hell. Maybe he's finally given up on a belief in God and he has commited suicide. Leslie Nielsen is also great as the ship's captain - it's hard to remember he was once a very serious actor! Some of the writing for the women isn't that good - except for Shelley Winters the two or three female characters are pretty feeble! There are some very memorable scenes in this film.
