Urban Decay Eyeshadows

Advantages: The most fantastic range of colours something for everyone
Disadvantages: Does have a tendency to crease and wear off easily

American Urban Chic

Advantages: new trends, great range, friendly atmosphere

...I am definitely someone who loves to shop and am always looking for new places to buy my clothes. I don't like to buy from all of the typical high street shops like New Look because I like to have things no one else does. I remember a while back when looking in some fashion magazines them mentioning the shop Urban Outfitters but I noticed it was only a London shop so it wasn't really something I was interested in. I then had a look on their US website and loved the looks of their clothes. So many unusual but nice things so I had a look on the store locator. I was shocked to find that Glasgow had a shop, so I got in my car and went for a drive, it took 40 minutes to get there. I was walking up Buchanan Street then in light blue lighting were the words Urban Outfitters. I will base this review on the Glasgow and Manchester branches...

Urban Decay - unrivalled for eye shadows!

Advantages: Long lasting, intense colours, beautiful packaging, everything!

...I always used to be the girl that would buy the cheapest make-up I could find. I don't tend to wear much make-up, but I've always loved eye shadows. I kept buying my cheap eye shadows, which would look great when I'd just applied them, but by the end of a night out it would all disappear and you could barely tell I'd put any on in the first place! Urban Decay doesn't decay

Advantages: They last for ages, they are lovely colors and easy to apply.
Disadvantages: They are quite expensive.

They are quite expensive, but I am a student and haven't really got that much cash, and if you like Urban Decay anyway then they are well worth your money, especially if they last over 2 years, I am predicting they may even last another 2 years for me....let's just hope glitter doesn't go out of fashion eh? The price for this product is between £15-£25 depending on where you buy them from, normally the internet is slightly cheaper and the only high street stores that sell Urban Decay is BOOTS and Debinhams. Shimmer and sparkle with Urban Decay eyeshadows

Advantages: Animal friendly, excellent quality, loads to choose from
Disadvantages: Not widely available in the UK

...After discovering more about the horrific practice of cosmetic (and indeed the other kinds) testing on animals, I have sought brands that strictly do not test their cosmetics or ingredients on animals. So far I have chosen my 3 favourite animal-friendly brands which are: The Body Shop, Barry M and Urban Decay. All 3 can be found on the BUAV (British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection) web-site as being approved by the Humane Cosmetics Standard so are totally cruelty-free. However, since this opinion is only about Urban Decay eyeshadows I will tell you more about them. They are gorgeously packaged in silver "tins" and boxed (recycled packaging) but as soon as you see the many colours available, you want them all! Urban outfitters

Advantages: Great finds all the time anytime
Disadvantages: Can be a bit pricey

...Shopping is like an extension of a lifestyle for most of us. For some people, it's what they do - they don't just go shopping if they need clothes, shopping is like a hobby, or a first love. For others, it's the search for an identity ( I'm not trying to be melodramatic ) but so much importance is placed on what a person wears that you classify them on first sight what sort of a person they are. So it really matters that what you wear reflects what person you are ( or you can try to be a certain type of person by dressing that way, but that's going round and round in circles, so nevermind that ). Having said all that, Urban Outfitters has to be one of my favorite shops. As ImogenW says in her opinion on this shop, Urban Outfitters used to be a purely American - more exactly Manhatten - thing.
