...varnish is not cheap and I feel that for the money it should be more resiliant. Why should I have to coat my nails in a clear varnish on top of their product? Overall, I'm not sure whether I would buy an Urban Decay varnish again. I would definitely try a different brand when this bottle runs out, but I will also continue to use this one until it is all gone. Next time I use it I will definitely coat my nails in clear polish after I have applied the colour, hopefully this will make a difference. This product hasn't encouraged me to try any other Urban Decay products, next time I want to buy some nail varnish I am going to experiment with some other varnishes, and hopefully find one that is more chip-proof! Advantages: Range of colours

...I’m quite a fan of Urban Decay make-up; the eye shadows are my particular favourites. They have a fantastically wide range of bold, shimmering colours which always seem to stand out from the other brands. Not only do they look good though they actually wear really well, they last all day or night and look just as good at the end of the day as they do when you first put them on. I don’t begrudge paying £10 for them because I know they actually look great (they look great on everyone by the way, I’m not being arrogant!). Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the nail enamels. I don’t seem to have had much success in the nail polish department recently. I tried a L’Oreal one a while ago which was supposedly chip-resistant but it was pretty useless. I expected better from a brand like Urban Decay but perhaps I was too optimistic... Read review

...’Oreal or Rimmel, I would treat myself to a posh, expensive nail varnish. Enter Urban Decay. At £8.50 for a standard size bottle, Urban Decay was definitely one of the pricier nail varnishes on the counters – not to mention the only range that had a shade that matched my dress exactly, so I didn’t really have much of a choice! But I was treating myself and, in effect, not actually paying any money for it, so I bought it. I will not be buying it again. The bottle is pretty cool, I must admit. It’s chunky glass and fairly heavy for a nail varnish bottle, and isn’t plastered in lots of Euro-instructions as I find most things are these days. ...I have purchased many Ruby and Millie products previously such as lipstick and eyeshadow but in my mind the nail varnish is by far my favourite. Ruby and Millie is a range developed by Ruby Hammer and Millie Kendall and is exclusive to Boots. The range is very modern and this is reflected in the packaging which involves clear plastic so that the contents can be seen, and mirrored silver, all bearing the brand name. Boots Fashion Brands (which includes Ruby and Millie, Karen Millen, Urban Decay etc) frequently has special offers on such as '3 for 2' or '500 advantage card point when you purchase two products' so this makes it more affordable. The nail polish costs £8-50 which is not bad considering it is quite an upmarket trendy brand, however I wouldn't describe it as a premium cosmetic brand. I chose two nail polishes... Read review

...I always used to be the girl that would buy the cheapest make-up I could find. I don't tend to wear much make-up, but I've always loved eye shadows. I kept buying my cheap eye shadows, which would look great when I'd just applied them, but by the end of a night out it would all disappear and you could barely tell I'd put any on in the first place! One day, I was reading an interview with Davey Havok, the singer of AFI (my favourite band), and a question asked about how he got his make-up to last while getting all sweaty on stage. I knew he wore Urban Decay make-up, so thought that if it lasted sweaty rock stars, it should last me for a while! ...Urban Decay Hot Box mini makeup set review by Girlyshop. Hmmm, wasn't too sure about this product for a number of reasons. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Urban Decay products, however a cigarette lighter full of makeup? Urban Decay's target audience is teens to later twenties, so seeing as these are the girls that health authorities world-wide are trying to encourage NOT to smoke, giving them an item related to smoking seems a bit, well, odd. Anyway, I don't like the packaging, full stop. Contents are another matter. A mini concealer, a mini mascara, a mini mirror, XXX Shine Gloss in shade CARNEY and Smog Eyeshadow. ...After discovering more about the horrific practice of cosmetic (and indeed the other kinds) testing on animals, I have sought brands that strictly do not test their cosmetics or ingredients on animals. So far I have chosen my 3 favourite animal-friendly brands which are: The Body Shop, Barry M and Urban Decay. All 3 can be found on the BUAV (British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection) web-site as being approved by the Humane Cosmetics Standard so are totally cruelty-free. However, since this opinion is only about Urban Decay eyeshadows I will tell you more about them. They are gorgeously packaged in silver "tins" and boxed (recycled packaging) but as soon as you see the many colours available, you want them all! ...I found this product on a recent visit to a cosmetics website. I had been doing an order for all those essential items (and a little Christmas shopping too!! (i'm not mad - just spreading the cost), when I came across the Urban Decay range of nail varnishes. What caught my eye was the fantastic colours and the great names given to these colours. Names such as Hot Pants / AC DC (a metallic purple) / Bruise / Cult / Graffiti (a blue-grey with lavendar) / Toxin (decribed as a semi-sheer holographic purple) and Exhaust (lavendar with silver flecks) to name a few. The prices ranged from £2.50 to £3.99, however, the recommended retail price of these nail varnishes is £8.95. ...Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencil Eyeliner I first tried Urban Decay last year ( I can't believe it took me so long) and was generally impressed with the quality of the products and the range of colours available. I had been hooked on Boots Botanics eyeliner for years when suddenly, they stopped making it! I jumped from brand to brand, trying about 5 or 6 different eyeliners until I found this gem from Urban Decay. The eyeliner comes in 12 different colours, but I opted for Zero, which is basically black. It cost £9 from Boots, and you can also buy online. The first time I bought this product, I lost it on a night out and I was genuinely upset, over an eyeliner! I went right out and bought another. The application of the liner is generally foolproof.
