...I bought the Urban Decay eye shadow from Debenhams for £11.50 for 1.5g. It took me ages to decide whether to buy the product or not as it seemed expensive for just one eyeshadow, My friend nattered me to death to buy it as its a lovley electric teal colour and would go perfectly with one of my dresses for new years. Its one of Urban Decays best selling items, and I can see why. Your probley woundering why you should spend so much money on just ONE eye shadow, well this kind of eyeshadow is pigment-rich, Urban Decay load their eyeshadows with so much colour and very few binders (there the things that hold the shadow together) So the eyeshadow looks amazing on the eyes. ...I always used to be the girl that would buy the cheapest make-up I could find. I don't tend to wear much make-up, but I've always loved eye shadows. I kept buying my cheap eye shadows, which would look great when I'd just applied them, but by the end of a night out it would all disappear and you could barely tell I'd put any on in the first place! ...Although I have not owned my Ammo box for very long, I would like to review it because of its range of colours/value for money. First things first. This box retails in the UK (from the 'net, larger Boots and most Debenhams) for approx £20. I bought mine brand new off ebay for £15, but the included applicator was missing. No worries. It comes in a plastic sleeve with a card showing colours and information such as ingredients and the big Urban Decay winner for me..NO ANIMAL TESTING (then again, I won't even look at a brand till I know that they don't test on animals) The compact is just that, but I was dismayed because it was much smaller than what I was expecting (it measures roughly 12 x 9cm) but I guess this makes it handy to shove in a make-up bag and especially good if you are travelling. ...Urban decay have a wide range of colors in this range of eye shadow, almost 50! They are sold individually and cost around £11 pounds each. I have found these eye shadows in boots stores and many online shops. The range includes some great colors (most of which have glitter in them) with wierd and wonderful names such as "acid rain" (a greeny yellow), "stalker" (an intense lilac with glitter) and "shotgun" (a brownish pink). The shadow can be used dry for a soft look or wet for more dramatic eyes. They come in a round silver tin with a clear circle on the lid which allows you to see the color of the shadow inside. The particular shadow I am looking at is "Oil Slick". This is a black color with silver glitter. The first thing I noticed was that the shadow comes without an applicator. ...to hold the eyeshadow on the eyelid for longer they still seem to come off quite quickly. I have noticed that Urban Decay do a primer which may help them to stay put if you use that alongside them however I haven't tried that yet. I took advantage of the offer that is regularly on in Boots where you can receive an extra 500 points on your advantage card if you buy 2 of these items, I think this is the best time to get them as it is equivalent to getting £5 back in the long run on your card. Even though these come off quite quickly I still love them, mainly for the amazing colours that they come in, I have compiled a list of my favourites so that next time they are on offer I can treat myself to a couple more of them. ...Never do I really buy expensive make-up. I was at my sister's house and she ranted and raved about her new eye shadow set she bought. I wasn't quite interested until she brought me upstairs and put some smokey, dusty, brown colour on my eyelids. It did not look how other eye shadows looked on me, it really made my eyes stand out a lot more which made me quite happy as I have small eyes and always dreamt of having that extra something to make them stand out. As I was so excited about this, I wanted to go out and buy it and asked about the price, at first I was shocked at how expensive it was however this is the first eye shadow make-up that has made my eyes look really nice so I thought I would spend the cash. ...The Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion truly is one of my make up staple products, it does exactly what it says in the product description and enhances eye makeup to the full! The potion retails at approx £9.50, i bought mine from boots.com therefore receiving 4 points per pound using my advantage card, so i received 40 points. It is available from an abundant amount of online retailers as well as from urban decay boutiques located within stores such as fenwicks and the larger boots stores. The packaging is very quaint with the bottle being shaped as a potion, almost in a genie type genre. The bottle remains small enough to be carried in a handbag, although i find the primer never needs to be applied more than once so you probably wont need to carry it all the time. ...I have a bottle of Urban Decay nail varnish in Black. I needed some black nail varnish, and I decided to go for Urban Decay because I'd heard good things about some of their other products. Urban Decay was launched in January 1996, rebelling against a cosmetics World filled with pink. They launched their first campaign under the slogan "does pink make you puke?" It is a popular brand, known for its alternative colours and trends. Urban Decay are one of those brands that spend time thinking about the desig of their products and packaging. The nail varnish comes in a thick glass pot, which contains 10ml of varnish, I'm not sure exactly but it looks as if it contains about the same as other brands' nail varnishes. ...’Oreal or Rimmel, I would treat myself to a posh, expensive nail varnish. Enter Urban Decay. At £8.50 for a standard size bottle, Urban Decay was definitely one of the pricier nail varnishes on the counters – not to mention the only range that had a shade that matched my dress exactly, so I didn’t really have much of a choice! But I was treating myself and, in effect, not actually paying any money for it, so I bought it. I will not be buying it again. The bottle is pretty cool, I must admit. It’s chunky glass and fairly heavy for a nail varnish bottle, and isn’t plastered in lots of Euro-instructions as I find most things are these days.
