...I have a bottle of Urban Decay nail varnish in Black. I needed some black nail varnish, and I decided to go for Urban Decay because I'd heard good things about some of their other products. Urban Decay was launched in January 1996, rebelling against a cosmetics World filled with pink. They launched their first campaign under the slogan "does pink make you puke?" It is a popular brand, known for its alternative colours and trends. Urban Decay are one of those brands that spend time thinking about the desig of their products and packaging. The nail varnish comes in a thick glass pot, which contains 10ml of varnish, I'm not sure exactly but it looks as if it contains about the same as other brands' nail varnishes. ...’Oreal or Rimmel, I would treat myself to a posh, expensive nail varnish. Enter Urban Decay. At £8.50 for a standard size bottle, Urban Decay was definitely one of the pricier nail varnishes on the counters – not to mention the only range that had a shade that matched my dress exactly, so I didn’t really have much of a choice! But I was treating myself and, in effect, not actually paying any money for it, so I bought it. I will not be buying it again. The bottle is pretty cool, I must admit. ...UrbanOutfitters.co.uk, an american urban chic style in a London based website, what more could you ask for? The style used on UO is very quirky yet still chic and stylish too. Not recommended for all you Plain Janes out there. Most of the clothing - I'm talking about the women's clothing when I say this) - is very loose and baggy, but that doesn't mean it's unflattering, you just have to wear it right with the right accessories. UO sells womens shoes, clothes, accessories and they have a women's boutique. They have men's clothing and a brands section. ...inspiring cars. There has been absolutely no enthusiasm put into the sounds of the engines. Call me fussy but I like a bit of variability. Music: 8/10 After making such a fuss about the sound in the game, I'll move onto the music, now oddly enough they have some how made this aspect of the game fine, not perfect but acceptable. There is some good mid-tempo and upbeat lyric-less urban style music. There are one or two soundtracks that are lacking but you can chose which tracks to listen to during game=play so you can just select the numerous other tracks that do really get you into the driving. As far as driving games go this is a pretty good attempt at choosing the correct style of music. ...I always used to be the girl that would buy the cheapest make-up I could find. I don't tend to wear much make-up, but I've always loved eye shadows. I kept buying my cheap eye shadows, which would look great when I'd just applied them, but by the end of a night out it would all disappear and you could barely tell I'd put any on in the first place! One day, I was reading an interview with Davey Havok, the singer of AFI (my favourite band), and a question asked about how he got his make-up to last while getting all sweaty on stage. I knew he wore Urban Decay make-up, so thought that if it lasted sweaty rock stars, it should last me for a while! ...Shopping is like an extension of a lifestyle for most of us. For some people, it's what they do - they don't just go shopping if they need clothes, shopping is like a hobby, or a first love. For others, it's the search for an identity ( I'm not trying to be melodramatic ) but so much importance is placed on what a person wears that you classify them on first sight what sort of a person they are. So it really matters that what you wear reflects what person you are ( or you can try to be a certain type of person by dressing that way, but that's going round and round in circles, so nevermind that ). Having said all that, Urban Outfitters has to be one of my favorite shops. As ImogenW says in her opinion on this shop, Urban Outfitters used to be a purely American - more exactly Manhatten - thing. ...I am definitely someone who loves to shop and am always looking for new places to buy my clothes. I don't like to buy from all of the typical high street shops like New Look because I like to have things no one else does. I remember a while back when looking in some fashion magazines them mentioning the shop Urban Outfitters but I noticed it was only a London shop so it wasn't really something I was interested in. I then had a look on their US website and loved the looks of their clothes. So many unusual but nice things so I had a look on the store locator. I was shocked to find that Glasgow had a shop, so I got in my car and went for a drive, it took 40 minutes to get there. I was walking up Buchanan Street then in light blue lighting were the words Urban Outfitters. I will base this review on the Glasgow and Manchester branches... Read review

...Urban Decay Hot Box mini makeup set review by Girlyshop. Hmmm, wasn't too sure about this product for a number of reasons. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Urban Decay products, however a cigarette lighter full of makeup? Urban Decay's target audience is teens to later twenties, so seeing as these are the girls that health authorities world-wide are trying to encourage NOT to smoke, giving them an item related to smoking seems a bit, well, odd. Anyway, I don't like the packaging, full stop. Contents are another matter. A mini concealer, a mini mascara, a mini mirror, XXX Shine Gloss in shade CARNEY and Smog Eyeshadow. These kinds of products are what most makeup wearers use on a regular basis and the colours are ones that will suit just about anyone. The Concealer is fair and comes with a sponge applicator. ...After discovering more about the horrific practice of cosmetic (and indeed the other kinds) testing on animals, I have sought brands that strictly do not test their cosmetics or ingredients on animals. So far I have chosen my 3 favourite animal-friendly brands which are: The Body Shop, Barry M and Urban Decay. All 3 can be found on the BUAV (British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection) web-site as being approved by the Humane Cosmetics Standard so are totally cruelty-free. However, since this opinion is only about Urban Decay eyeshadows I will tell you more about them. They are gorgeously packaged in silver "tins" and boxed (recycled packaging) but as soon as you see the many colours available, you want them all!
