BELKIN USB Adapter (10M)- Connect PC to Phone
Review of Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter by
ky_9988
Advantages: Small, Sleek, Connects to Phones, Good Coverage, Slim, fast, easy install
Disadvantages: Cap can get lost as it is quite small
...I have had this little product for about 4 Months now and I can say it is a wonderful little thing.
The model I have is the:
Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter * Class 2; v1.2 10m
This model is currently available for £8.99 on amazon (£3 cheaper than what I paid for it) and I can say it is the best thing I have bought.
The reason why I bought this adapter was to connect my phone to my laptop and PC.
<<*What it Does*>>
This small and sleek adapter enables you to connect 2 or more bluetooth devices to each other wirelessly. This includes devices such as Mobile Phones and PDA's.
I have connected both my Samsung D500 and Sony Ericsson W800i to my Laptop all at the same time. The coverage distance for this particular device is 10 metres therefore it makes it easy to pick up the bluetooth signals easily, although a much...

Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter
Review of Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter by
mikenewborn
Advantages: Small and Discrete. Easy to install and use. 10m range.
Disadvantages: Not as fast as a serial cable or infra-red.
...This is a great piece of kit. I bought it so I could transfer files between my phone and computer, but it can be used with any bluetooth device such as a PDA or laptop.
The manual simply explains how to install the dongle and I installed it without any trouble in minutes. The dongle is USB 1.1 compatable and is truely plug and play. You can disable the bluetooth connection in the dongle settings so you don't have to keep disconnecting the adapter from your PC if your worried about someone trying to connect to your computer.
Start using the product, just give your PC a name in the Bluetooth software and any bluetooth device will be able to detect it straight away. The easiest way to transfer files in my opinion is to right-click on a file and select "Send To > Bluetooth Device" You can even highlight multiple files and send them...

Adapting To The Internet
Review of Belkin Wireless 125Mbps G+ USB Adapter by
Reposter78
Advantages: A Great Starter Pack
Disadvantages: Its A Wireless Product That Has Wires
..., because if it didn't work, I could resell or take back to Argos, and if it did work, I could save myself a fortune in the long run.
What You Get
Upon returning home I proceeded to open the box and inside I found the Wireless Adapter itself (looks a bit like a USB Pen/Flash Drive), the Stand which has a 1 metre USB cable attached and the Driver Disc to make the whole thing work. Not knowing too much about this kind of thing, I thought it best to read the instructions. The leaflet is incredibly easy to read, a 5 step guide is all it takes to get this thing working.
I think the Stand with the USB cable is a very handy object indeed. You have the choice of whether you want to use it or not. You can either plug the Adapter straight in to the Selected USB Port or plug it into the Stand. The 1 metre extension allows you to move it around so...

Bridging the USB-PS/2 gap
Review of Belkin USB PS/2 Adapter keyboard / mouse adapter by
AJRAD
Advantages: allows you to use PS/2 devices on a USB port, cheap, easy
Disadvantages: none
...it from and asked a helpful member of staff at the counter to save me from this hell. Then he pulled this from a shelf behind him and I felt much better.
It was only £10 which is a decent price for a small but useful adapter like this, especially considering it saved me buying a new keyboard and mouse (I'm picky about what I use for different activities) which could have cost up to £150.
It conforms to the Plug And Play standard, which basically means you don't need to install or configure anything to work it, just plug it in to a USB port and plug some PS/2 devices into it and tada, IT WORKS!
Not only is it plug and play, but you can unplug and plug in devices at any time without restarting your computer - which is unusual for something to do with PS/2 and quite a nice feature.
It hasn't failed on me yet, nor have any wires snapped...

Belkin Wireless USB adaptor
Review of Belkin Wireless G USB Network Adapter Network adapter by
craggybuk
Advantages: Simple to set up and use
Disadvantages: Software is not the greatest
...I bought this USB network adaptor for my son when he still had his Windows 98 machine as the PCI card that I reviewed previously was too advanced for his hardware. This USB adapter was bought to connect to my Belkin wireless router meaning that I now had a wireless network consisting only of Belkin hardware.
--Whats in the box--
On opening the box, there were no real surprises. There was the USB adapter, a stand which would allow you to place the adapter on your desk if you didnt want to have it plugged directly into the back of your PC, the antenna, a quick installation guide and a CD which contained the drivers and a full manual.
--Installation--
On reading the quick installation guide, it was apparent that the software had to be installed before the adapter was plugged in. The reason for this was because, when the hardware...

Affordable wireless adapter.
Review of Belkin Wireless G USB Network Adapter Network adapter by
DragonflyWales
Advantages: Wireless connectivity - Supplied with stand - Fast data transfer - Good Price
Disadvantages: Temperamental Software, Stand Falls Over - Installation hit & miss
...to go.
The software is supplied on a cd and installed without a hitch. When prompted to do so I connected the adapter stand to the USB port and plugged the adapter into this. Windows detected the adapter and the headaches began.
Firstly, the stand is not heavy enough to hold the adapter upright, I have now stuck mine to the desk with blu-tac.
Secondly, the software was indicating that no network could be found. In order for the adapter to detect the router and the network I had to plug the router back into the extension cable. This defeated the whole point of buying the adapter in the first place.
Once this was done I followed the instructions for my router to switch over to a wireless connection, but that software could not find an internet connection. This in fairness was down to my own lack of knowledge as I had not set...

USB is for me
Review of Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 4-Port Hub - hub - 4 ports by
sit2020
Advantages: Have plenty of USB ports at any time
Disadvantages: Can be a bit of a pain when it comes to the power supply.
...the transformer.
On the top and directly over the USB sockets are LED's that tell me when any of the USB sockets are in use and another LED that tells me if it is connected to the transformer.
How easy is it to use?
I found it very easy to set up and use, first I plugged the connector lead into a spare USB socket on the back of my PC, then I plugged the other end into the USB hub. The next step was to plug the transformer into the mains and the corresponding pin into the socket on the USB hub.
What can it be used for?
I have used this for plugging in scanners, printers, mass-storage devices (including a PSP), web cam, a mouse, high-resolution cameras and USB hard drives.
The list does not end there, also you can add flash card readers, Blue tooth adapters, pen drives, basically anything that has a USB connection can be plugged...

The Perfect Wireless Adapter For Me
Review of Linksys Wireless-G USB Adapter WUSB54GR with RangeBooster by
burns2007
Advantages: Installation, Size, Reliable
Disadvantages: None
...Introduction
*************
I had this wireless adapter bought me at Christmas to go with my wireless router which I have already reviewed. The idea in mind was to set it up on another computer in another room so that I could go on the internet with no need for cables to be trailing any where.
Installation
************
The installation is very simple and quick. The wireless adapter is connected to the computer through a USB (Universal Serial Bus) cable with one end going from the adapter and the other into the back of the computer into a USB port. One of the best things about this adapter is that power adapter is not needed because the adapter can get its power through the USB cable.
When the computer has loaded the adapter will have been detected. Using the CD that came with the adapter insert it into the CD-ROM and wait...

belkin wireless adapter
Review of Belkin Wireless High Speed Mode USB Adapter Network adapter by
techno_man_37
Advantages: works great most of the time
Disadvantages: none, except for the first few months for me.
...This little wireless adapter is designed to plug right into laptop of pc’s usb ports so that it enables them to be wireless and therefore can pick up a signal from a network.
This can plug into your pc or laptop 2 different ways, firstly it can plug in much like a usb memory stick and just the stick itself can go straight into a usb port on your laptop or pc. The second way is to plug the holder into the pc of laptops usb port, this holder conveniently holds the wireless stick in place and has a wire leading out which can plug into the usb ports.
This lead can go about a meter so is handy if you need to position it somewhere else on your desktop, also it looks quite good in its little holster and doesn’t look out of place.
I bought this one a while ago from comet for I think around £20, I bought it mainly because...
