USB data cable for nokia
Review of Nokia DKU 2 Mobile phone cable by
Roguey-117
Advantages: necessity for camera/mp3 phones, allows fast transfer of files to your nokia
Disadvantages: not compatible with older computers and some Nokias
...with the cable.
---COST---
A USB data cable is usually supplied with your Nokia Phone and if your phone came with the data cable pictured then your phone will work with this cable. If you have lost or broken your data cable or bought your phone second hand and did not recieve one then you will need to pay around £5 - £10 depending on what sites or shops you buy it from. It is great value for money as you will always be using it.
---THE CABLE---
The cable its self is quite strong and will last a long time however if the cable is pulled or not looked after correctly then you will break it quickly. I have had the contacts bent on mine which means the connection between the phone and the PC can not be made and so the cable is useless. I have also had loose connections in the wire so while i was transfering data the slightest knock on the wire...

the cable that will last a lifetime
Review of Belkin Pro Series Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Device Cable USB cable by
techno_man_37
Advantages: strong
Disadvantages: none
...Now iv not done a review on USB cables before, really its just never hit me that I could actually write about these and there’s also the fact that there’s not really much you can say about a cable, but ill give it a go.
This is a normal printer cable which means it has two ends, one being the end which goes into any USB port in your computer or laptop, this end is the rectangle shaped end and is called a type A.
The other end is which goes into your printer, and don’t worry as nearly every printer made has this kind of end so it will definitely fit, and this end is kind of square in shape and is known as the type B end.
It transfers data to your computer at speeds of up to 480 mbps, that’s megabytes a second which is really fast and is about 40 times faster than USB 1.1 cables.
The cable its self is 1.8 m...

Great Belkin USB product
Review of Belkin Pro Series USB Extension Cable USB extender by
Rubeenio
Advantages: gives you an extra 1.8 meters on any USB product
Disadvantages: none
...that could connect my headset to the computer and let me use it, and this is what I did.
I trudged down to my local PC world and paid a little money for a 1.8 meter Belkin Pro Series USB Extension Cable and was very very happy with it when I got home. It is very well made with a nice thick rubber protective rapping over the wire inside so unless you cut it with a knife its not going to be damaged if you full on it a little or even a allot. It supports all standard USB ports with its well made male plug (the bit that goes into the computer) and on the other end of the cable has a nice thick female port (the bit that you will stick your USB device in) I have had no problems with this cable at all, it doesn't suffer from any lag and because it has a thick cable it doesn't snap or damage if you catch it with you feet while its laying on the floor...

FastCAT5e Networking Cable
Review of Belkin FastCAT network cable - 10 m by
kelr101
Advantages: Quick Installation, Colour co-oridinated, Fast Speeds
Disadvantages: Price Varied
...*Company History*
Belkin, based in Compton, California, are one of the world’s leading manufacturers of peripherals and connectivity in the computer industry. Their products are designed for home and business users and cover a large range including: USB Hubs, LAN and Wireless devices and cables, Networking Hardware and accessories, and Computer and audio-visual cables.
*Category 5 Cables - Networking*
With respect to my personal circumstances I found myself considering Belkin's range of products when I was in need of a networking cable.
A Network set up is a group of two or more computers linked together. There are several networking groups, including LAN (Local Area Network), whereby the computers are geographically close together.
My home LAN Network set up originally consisted of two Personal Computers (PC...

USB is for me
Review of Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 4-Port Hub - hub - 4 ports by
sit2020
Advantages: Have plenty of USB ports at any time
Disadvantages: Can be a bit of a pain when it comes to the power supply.
...the ports so much easier.
Which model did I choose?
I chose the Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 4-Port Hub; this was based on the price, availability and looks. The price and availability of the USB hub were my main purchasing considerations.
What did I get?
I got the main USB hub, a connection cable (one end plugs into the hub and the other plugs into a USB port on the computer), a transformer (this supplies power to the hub via a cable that plugs into the hub, more about this later in the review) and very limited instructions. This all gave me change from £25.
What does it look like?
The hub itself is squircle shaped (a cross between a square and a circle) on one end are four USB ports, at one side is a socket for connecting the USB lead that connects the hub to the computer and another socket for the power supply that comes from...

WORLD'S BEST CABLE
Review of APC printer cable - 3 m by
ReviewDude
Advantages: Good Quality
Disadvantages: Over Priced, USB Now Used
...People reading this review might think I've gone mad! He's reviewing a printer cable.. I can hear you saying it now. Well as a matter of fact I have a lot to say about this small cable.
A few years ago when I purchased my Lexmark I had a cable like the one above. Unlike the newer USB cables one's like the APC are bigger and a little harder to plugin then USB cables.
My rabit decided to chew through the cable, luckly he was ok, but I had to purchase a new printer cable, enter on the scene APC.
I looked around for a new cable and found the APC printer cable for around fifteen pounds, a little overpriced but I looked on the back of the packet for more information.
The APC cable provides extra protection against data lost, power faults and any other problems you might have. It also works well with home nextworking.
I was also...

Erm, it's a cable!
Review of Belkin patch cable - 15 m by
Weltmeister
Advantages: Good build quality, brand name
Disadvantages: A bit pricey.
...Okay, so before everyone gets too excited at the prospect of reading a review about a network cable, I'll bring you all back down to Earth and try to convince you why this one is so great...
If you've bought computer peripherals before, you will probably be familiar with Belkin, who are particularly well-known for their USB products. Belkin make all sorts of cables, including a variety of ethernet network cables.
This is a Cat 5 standard network cable (coloured red, but you can get it in many other colours, including black, grey, yellow, green, blue etc).
One of the major problems with network cables is their tendency to snag when bent through a small radius, and because of the way the individual wires are twisted around eachother inside the cable, this can lead to network errors. The Belkin cable claims to be snagless...

Excellent USB Headphones with microphone
Review of Sennheiser PC 155 USB Headset by
el-em
Advantages: Comfortable, good quality sound, excellent microphone
Disadvantages: Bit bulky for my laptop bag
...wire helps keep neck & chin free. There is also a small clip for attaching the wire to a shirt/collar to prevent entanglement.
After the inline control, a cable spool keeps a generous 10 feet/3 meters of cable wound up and tidy when not required. The wire then runs to a pink microphone jack and green headphone jack, that plug into corresponding sockets connected to the USB sound card.
My only concern with these phones is they are a bit bulky, so do create a bulge in the laptop bag. This has not stopped me lugging them all over the world with me - great to use on the plane to listen to music or watch video off the laptop.
For those who like to know the technical stats, these from the packaging:
Headphones:
Frequency response -18 – 22,000 Hz
Impedance - 32 Ω
Sound pressure - 114 dB
Cable length - 3 m / 10 ft
Connector...

It's a cable !
Review of Nokia DKE-2 Mobile phone cable by
miketurner
Advantages: It transfers data
Disadvantages: None
...What can I possibly say about a "cable" ? Its a USB Cable, standard USB connection on one end (the type that fits into the USB socket on your PC or laptop), and a different type of USB connection on the other (that fits certain Nokia phone models). Sorry I don't know the names of the specific types of connectors, but they are both male.
My cable is black but I would imagine it comes in other colours. It is 1.2m in length, which is plenty long enough, unless your PC is tucked away in a very unaccessible place.
The Ciao description says it is for connecting a Nokia 5510 but I use it to connect an N95, and I imagine a lot of other Nokia models will use this type of connection too. Best to check on the Nokia website.
If you need to transfer data, synchronise you address book, install software on your phone etc, then I can recommend...

USB 2 USB And Back Again.
Review of Trust USB Data Link F12M by
jjqburch
Advantages: Easy to use. Its USB.
Disadvantages: Software is dated. Not the fastest method of transfer.
...Well this is one way of networking two computers or two laptops or one of each. All you need is this cable and the disc that comes with it (providing you have spare USB ports on both systems). The device does not need an external power supply.
You can connect this cable without the need to restart or turn anything off as it is ‘hot plugable’ and ‘plug-and-play’ compatible. Once connected to each device (either end can go in either system – it doesn’t matter), then depending on the operating system, the device should be recognized and with Windows XP, you need to install the drivers from the CD.
There is no paper manual to go with this product, but it’s easy enough to use and they put it on the driver CD in case you need it. The CD tells you how to install the software via Windows XP and older versions. I couldn’t tell you...
