Play And Charge Kit XBOX 360
Review of Microsoft Official Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit by

Advantages: Wirless Controlling Made easy!
Disadvantages: None
...term.
For a mere $20 you can get you hands on a play and charge kit that should last you a good couple of years before the battery finally can't take another charge and you end up buying a new one. Buying $20 worth or regular AA batteries will only last you about six months, so it is clearly a pretty good deal to get the play and charge kit.
How It Works
You get a rechargeable battery pack and a USB recharge cable in the kit and when you first get it you have to charge it for a good 5-6 hours. At first it will lose its charge fairly quickly, but the more you use it and the more you charge it you will eventually get up into the 20-25 hours of use per charge range that is advertised on the box. That is par for the course for rechargeable batteries.
The way it recharges is by plugging the USB cable into either your Xbox 360 or into your...

USB is for me
Review of Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 4-Port Hub - hub - 4 ports by
sit2020
Advantages: Have plenty of USB ports at any time
Disadvantages: Can be a bit of a pain when it comes to the power supply.
...with no adverse effect. I plugged the transformer into its power supply then without using a computer I plugged a mobile phone (the type that charges through a mini USB connection) into the hub and successfully charged the phone.
Any downsides?
The only problem I have come across when using this USB hub is all about the power supply. When to have it connected and when not to have it connected to the hub.
On a computer one of the things the USB does is send a low voltage electrical supply to whatever is plugged into it. As often as not the item plugged in will be more than happy with the supply it is receiving, however when I started adding more items to the computer by using the hub the power needed to supply them needed to be upgraded and that is where the transformer for the hub comes into play.
The problem does not end there, the only...

Play and Charge now!
Review of Microsoft Official Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit by
shamis4
Advantages: Play for hours on end and just plug in and charge - good price
Disadvantages: none
...After owning my xbox 360 for a while and playing quite a lot (probably too long) I was getting rather fed up with having to constantly change batteries in my controller as it kept running out of battery. This not only meant I had to go and find some new batteries - and in some instances even meant going to the shop to buy some new ones, but it also messed up whatever I was playing particularly in online play as I would just lose and not be able to play. Normal batteries were beginning to rely annoy me so I decided to purchase a play and charge kit!
The xbox controller - being wireless eats up batteries like nothing and this kit is intended to be a simple solution to all those AA batteries.
What is it:
In this play and charge kit you get a battery pack and a USB charger wire. The battery pack is designed to fit perfectly...

Bloody charging brilliant!
Review of Kensington USB Car Phone Charger by
somebodyrandom
Advantages: Simply amazing
Disadvantages: None what so ever!
...if the battery goes back up to two bars,
3. Turn the phone off completely; you can't be bothered chatting to your girl friend or the important customer from Japan,
4. Invest in a 'Kensington USB Car Phone Charger,' that can be used to charge up the phone in either the car or office.
Option 1 is a no no. Charging up a battery, especially the modern lithium ion batteries, for short periods of time does more damage then good. You see, the battery has a 'memory,' and will remember how much power was in it before it was recharged. It will then count this as being empty, so the capacity of the battery decreases significantly. This happens slowly though, so doing it on a one off occasion is fine. (The memory can be compared to a plastic carrier bag, scrunch it up and it will uncrumple itself a bit, but not enough to return to its original shape...

USB 2 Drive U Mad
Review of Pace Colour Video Camera USB by
FireBurn
Advantages: Cheep and easy to use (Win95 & 98 users)
Disadvantages: Poor compatibility and after sales help
...I originally bought this product thinking that pace was a good make, but I discoved later that it's a different Pace to the ones that sell set top boxies. When I first tried the cam it worked perfectly, and it was real easy to conect since it was USB, however for some reason the camera locks up, nearly every times it's used meaning you have to restart the computer just to get it working again, (something you shouldn't even have to do with USB) I assumed it was something to do with the newness of USB technology and hoped that when I upgraded to Win2000 the probles would all just go away. They didn't. The camera isn't even compatible with Win2000 at all and with Pace(Com) going out of bussiness I doubt this camera will ever be compatable. I new company has taken over but they charge you to download new drivers (that still arn't compatible...

Review of Belkin TraveLite Retractable USB Lamp by
Timbo3107
Advantages: Well designed and useful product
Disadvantages: Could affect battery life on an older laptop model
...flight then that is when I have problems as I can't use the overhead lights without disturbing someone next to me or either in front or behind where I am sitting.
So to receive this present of a Belkin USB portable lamp was an utter miracle from on high!!! Although at the time I opened the wrapping I didn't really realise how useful this could be to me and how much I would depend up |
