*Double male connector, Make up your own jokes..
Advantages: Snap on fittings, very easy, very good.
Disadvantages: None, unless you run over them.
...OK, a review on a double male connector for a garden hose, I must be mad! The daft thing is, they are very useful, if you have a garden hose with snap on fit fittings, then you can borrow your neighbours hose. If you don't hve one of these, then you are forced with the choice of cobbling something together with bits of pipe & Jubilee clips, or buying a longer hose.

APC USB Mobile Phone Charger
Advantages: very handy for travelling & cheap

When Travelling with alot of technology you must always try and remember all those chargers and gadgets for it all, which in full can take up alot of time, and space.
HOW IT WORKS
Because of all this hassel , APC company have developed a new specific charger to save it all, its basically a charger that plugs into a spare USB socket and then drains the power to charge your mobile phone.
One end plugs into a spare USB socket the other into the phone.
It has been tested using various mobiles brands such as nokia, Ericsson, Alcatel, Motorola, Siemens and Panasonic.

USB is for me
Advantages: Have plenty of USB ports at any time
Disadvantages: Can be a bit of a pain when it comes to the power supply.

On the top and directly over the USB sockets are LED's that tell me when any of the USB sockets are in use and another LED that tells me if it is connected to the transformer.
How easy is it to use?
I found it very easy to set up and use, first I plugged the connector lead into a spare USB socket on the back of my PC, then I plugged the other end into the USB hub. The next step was to plug the transformer into the mains and the corresponding pin into the socket on the USB hub.
What can it be used for?
I have used this for plugging in scanners, printers, mass-storage devices (including a PSP), web cam, a mouse, high-resolution cameras and USB hard drives.
The list does not end there, also you can add flash card readers, Blue tooth adapters, pen drives, basically anything that has a USB connection can be plugged into...

USB Power-ed up Adapter

...This USB Power Adapter is a must accessory to have if you have any kinds of iPods. As you would know, when you buy an iPod, you will only receive the iPod itself and the link cable. This means the only way you can charge the iPod is through the computer. However, this is disadvantage for many reasons since you would need to make sure the computer is on when charging. Because its USB charged, it takes quite a long time to charge it to full.
This USB Power Adapter deals with all of the charging problems and many others. The size of the power adapter is very compact, with its dimension of 4cm by 4cm (estimate and could be different when bought from different country). It is also not so heavy for portable use.
Also, you can change the adapter itself to European, Asian or wherever with great convenience. All you have to do is slide it...

Belkin Wireless USB adaptor
Advantages: Simple to set up and use
Disadvantages: Software is not the greatest
...I bought this USB network adaptor for my son when he still had his Windows 98 machine as the PCI card that I reviewed previously was too advanced for his hardware. This USB adapter was bought to connect to my Belkin wireless router meaning that I now had a wireless network consisting only of Belkin hardware.
--Whats in the box--
On opening the box, there were no real surprises. There was the USB adapter, a stand which would allow you to place the adapter on your desk if you didnt want to have it plugged directly into the back of your PC, the antenna, a quick installation guide and a CD which contained the drivers and a full manual.

USB Stick Heaven
Advantages: Fast, Good Looking And Small
Disadvantages: Way too much packaging, may not be avaliable now
...The Trekstor USB stick 2.0 is the 8GB memory stick version in this range. I actually didn't consider really the brand name as I had never really heard of Treakstor before and wasn't one hundred percent sure if they were reliable. However when I bought it in Currys last year and they had on offer many different memory capacities, ranging from 512Mb to 16Gb.
About It
Bascially 8GB can hold around 2,000 songs, 1,200-2,000 photos (depending on size of photos) and 4 hours of video. Of course this all depends of the sizes and quality but these are for the average person. This however was exactly what I needed as I wanted to carry photos, documents and songs. I was going to get the 2GB stick however I changed my mind as there wasn't much of a price difference so went for the bigger size.

USB??? You mean FAB!!
Advantages: Well designed and useful product
Disadvantages: Could affect battery life on an older laptop model
...the Laptop. With the WI-FI enabled this meant that the website could be looked up to assist in diagnosing the issue with her car. How did the lamp come in handy? Well it was at night so she clipped the lamp inside the engine compartment to discover a fuse had blown, which meant that she had no working headlights. By using the laptop to get the user manual on-line from the web she fixed the fuse thee and then and got her headlights working again. This saved a call out to the AA.
I have a relatively new laptop so the power drain was hardly noticeable and not as bad as I had expected, but I have yet to find out how this goes with an older laptop using the USB connector cable, also connecting this up is easy as it utilises the same port as any standard memory stick. In theory though for me the power should is not a problem as on modern trains...
