USB is for me
Review of Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 4-Port Hub - hub - 4 ports by
sit2020
Advantages: Have plenty of USB ports at any time
Disadvantages: Can be a bit of a pain when it comes to the power supply.
...the transformer.
On the top and directly over the USB sockets are LED's that tell me when any of the USB sockets are in use and another LED that tells me if it is connected to the transformer.
How easy is it to use?
I found it very easy to set up and use, first I plugged the connector lead into a spare USB socket on the back of my PC, then I plugged the other end into the USB hub. The next step was to plug the transformer into the mains and the corresponding pin into the socket on the USB hub.
What can it be used for?
I have used this for plugging in scanners, printers, mass-storage devices (including a PSP), web cam, a mouse, high-resolution cameras and USB hard drives.
The list does not end there, also you can add flash card readers, Blue tooth adapters, pen drives, basically anything that has a USB connection can be plugged...

Excellent USB Headphones with microphone
Review of Sennheiser PC 155 USB Headset by
el-em
Advantages: Comfortable, good quality sound, excellent microphone
Disadvantages: Bit bulky for my laptop bag
...After starting to experiment with Voice over IP (VoIP) on the PC, I decided I needed a headset with microphone to make the experience more pleasant for me and the person on the other end of an internet based call.
A load of searching for something suitable popped up the Sennheiser PC 155 USB amongst quite a few others. At the most expensive available, it was going to take a lot of convincing to get me to part with some cash for these!
Past experiences with Sennheiser had been good, and I knew they made quality stuff, so I decided that these were good contenders.
I was after USB attached ones as it is generally easier to just plug and play a USB connector than fiddle with a headphone socket and a microphone jack. So I ordered these.
The headphones arrived in a blister pack - a pet hate of mine - give me a nice recycleable...

To USB, or not to USB?
Review of Dane-Elec zMate Pen USB2.0 Nacre - USB flash drive - 256 MB by
DaC_87
Advantages: Cheap, easy to use, transportable.
Disadvantages: A little on the chunky side, space an issue
..., the pen drive looks rather pod-like, oval rounded with no sharp edges, certainly a lot nicer lookin than other pen drives I've seen. A black stripe separates the two parts, and divides the drive into two, which is quite classy. With the cap offthe USB connector is revealed and also a little transparant plastic, which shows off the rather authentic-and-reassuring-looking circuit boards inside. Upon the other end of the stick is a tiny little Key-ring fastener. As this is only 0.5cm in diameter, I wouldn't put anything into that key ring, rather, put that key-ring into another, if you get my drift.
Performance.
Now, if you're a stickler for grammar, a copy-editor at heart or just a careful reader, you may been perplexed by my inverted commas around the term "capacity" in the previous paragraph. No mistake on my part there; as the 256mb figure...

In Kingston town.. the place I long to USB
Review of Kingston DataTraveler 100 - USB flash drive - 4 GB by
1st2thebar
Advantages: 4 GB of data storage
Disadvantages: lacks innovation in design
...keeping.however, it certainly is a clever protector for the pin USB connector.
The 4GB of capacity space stores many more media files, like hi-definition WAVS and MP3 sound files AVI files MP4 files for mobile content such as video and film clips, can be stored without any file compression requirements. Compatible for cross purpose platforms PC/Mac - or on Laptops.
Thank you for reading this review, I hope it was helpful.

Sony Micro Vault 5GB USB Drive
Review of Sony Micro Vault USB flash drive - 128 MB by
patwanet
Advantages: High capacity, Auto-sync software
Disadvantages: High initial cost
...of it's creation, making it useful for tracking changes to them.
The drive is made even smaller by the addition of a swivel USB connector which can be retracted into the device when not in use. The connector itself negates the need for additional usb connecting cables.
The £125 price tag seems expensive at first and for most people for just one purchase, it is, but it is well worth it in the long run. You are able to carry your work, games and entertainment in the same place and have access to it whenever you wish. It is also great for allowing other people to copy data to the drive, meaning no other media or special software is needed. The drive is compatible with all operating systems supporting USB, in Microsoft's case Win98SE and above.
My opinion - well worth it. It has a high capacity, and it's better to start large than...

Extreme USB pocket drive (for toppit users?)
Review of Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 - storage enclosure by
cport80
Advantages: Fast & Versatile
Disadvantages: Slightly large
...Everyone seems to have a tiny pocket USB drive these days, however they suffer from limited capacity and can be quite slow (especially the older USB1 type). Belkin realise there's a good market to be tapped here... via their USB2 hard drive caddy.
I can't remember the last time I was this impressed with a piece of kit. Thanks to a £20 voucher from Powergen, I picked this drive bay up for £29.99 from PC world. In went an old fujitsu 10MB drive and now it's a fantastic portable (just) storage solution.
The bay itself can accomodate both 3.5 and 5.25 inch drives to give you an idea of how big it is. Power is supplied via a normal 6A mains lead (supplied) which is identical to your computer power lead (so no problem replacing if you lose it). The drive connector inside is a standard 40-pin IDE ribbon and there's also an analog audio...
