The price was also very attractive for its size, £17.99 for a 4GB USB stick was exceptional when I bought it around 4 or 5 months ago. -----| What I have used it for |----- I used this throughout my studies at school, it was in constant use, exchagning data to and from it numerous times a day. Each transfer was fast, due to it being USB 2.0, and with no corruptions or file loss. These drives are in the affordability range of almost all users. This drive is very compact. ...I had gone for several years without a USB stick at all, and I finally came to a point in my life where I required several for distributing a project I was working on. I had a look around for reasonably priced 4Gb USB sticks and I stumbled upon the SanDisk Cruzer Micro U3. I had recalled reading about U3 devices awhile back so I was quite interested to find out what they were. I discovered that U3 devices pretend to have a CD drive inside them so when you plug in the device it will install its drivers (as with any usb stick) and then it has the ability to autorun software. The software that comes with the USB stick allows certain programs to be installed on the stick, this is very useful as you can run programs and keep your settings saved on your usb stick so that they are not lost from computer to computer. ...It and it saves storage space too is you do decide to uninstall it. This one is the 4gb version so it can hold quite a lot of data, photos and whatever you want to store on it really. The transfer speed is really quick too, as you would expect this from a sandisk flash drive and the average price you should be expected to pay for one of these is about £20, so a little more expensive that the usual 4gb flash drives. It may be more expensive but it does look better, I think In buying a flash drive I wouldn't bother getting one of these, however I would get this as a present for someone younger as I think it would be an incentive for them not to loose it and take more care of it....
