Victorinox Swissbit USB flash drive - 512 MB
Review of Swissbit SWISSMEMORY USB Victorinox retroALOX - USB flash drive - 512 MB by
Itstar77
Advantages: Durable and Well built. Nice Design.
Disadvantages: Doesn't have any Swiss Army Knife accessories
...with USB 1.1 ports but it doesn't work with those in my keyboard. The transfer of data is as fast as any other flash drive I have used. The drive comes preloaded with security software to prevent unauthorised access to your data although this only seems to be compatible with Windows machines.
Overall this a decent USB stick that works well and is a more attractive design than most. It feels very durable and well put together. 512MB isn't a huge amount of memory these days so I would recommend going for at least the 1GB model. Some people may prefer Victorinox's other USB Swiss Army Knives which have the usual knife and accessories in addition to the USB stick. However, for transporting data, especially on planes, this device may be the sensible option....

Lexar JumpDrive USB 512mb
Review of Lexar JumpDrive Secure II - USB flash drive - 512 MB by
blackhawk204
Advantages: Portability, ease of use, money saver, plug-and-play.
Disadvantages: Small (ish) storage capacity.
...Lexar JumpDrive Secure ll is a USB flash drive with a good 512mb storage capacity.
It boasts plug-and play functionality, allowing you to pop it into any usb drive on a mac, pc or server and drag and drop files 'to and fro' as desired. (Ease of access depends on the o/s you have installed, i use both OSX10 and vista, both work great!)
Now 512mb isn't exactly the king as storages spaces go (you can get upto 8gb now!!!) but its perfect if you only transfer the smaller files such as word docs, the odd song or two. If you are moving larges directories then this isn't for you and would recommend you look at the size of file/directory you have and purchase accordingly.
Perfect for the school/college user and you can pick them up for around £5.00 give or take a penny or two, so it is hardly a wallet burner.
Lexar is a well trusted...

**512MB memory all on a stick**
Review of Dell USB Memory Key USB flash drive - 512 MB by
1st2thebar
Advantages: A lot of memory 512MB worth
Disadvantages: It can get lost in a brief case
...**DELL USB MEMORY STICK**
-- USB Flash Drive 512 MB --
- Dell -
Dell is now the 25th most wealthiest corporation in the US. Why Dell has done so well is due to the smaller component sales -- such as the USB Flash Drive memory keys, among many other computer components. That is a digital USB device.
Dell was founded by Michael Dell in 1984 and was originally named 'PC limited'. At that time IBM was the main specialists in computer products and components worldwide. Michael learn't his trade by using IBM mainframe computers on processing speeds of only 2MHz. A 'MHz' is a tiny fraction of the kind of processor speeds that are in the market today. Dell's visionary could see beyond the systems he worked with and wanted to find away to quicken up data processing and so got to work on building a prototype. In 1985 he managed...

Flash Voyager - A quick trip through the wash
Review of Corsair Flash Voyager USB flash drive - 512 MB by
invisible
Advantages: Fast, cheap, compact, dropable and machine-washable
Disadvantages: Small Capacity. Difficult to plug 2 sticks in side by side.
...I love these sticks. In fact I collect them. I think they look good, feel good and well... they're generally good. I've only ever had one fail, and that was one that stopped working on day one so at least I didn't have to worry about having lost the latest version of my work. It also served as a reminder that no matter how reliable something usually is it's always important to have an up to date backup!
The stick itself is made out of some sort of rubber, the only problem here is that black rubber seems to attract little white bits of fluff. however the advantage being that rubber doesn't rattle around in your pockets or your bag.
The 512MB version is a bit small for what I need today, but if you only need to carry smaller documents this stick is great value for money. The 512MB stick I had came with a USB extension cable...

The best flash drive
Review of PQI Intelligent Stick USB flash drive - 512 MB by
sektorgaza
Advantages: small, easy to use, litght(about 2 grams)
Disadvantages: havent longer USB cable
...This is one of the smallest USB-flash drives in the world, it’s surface made of plastic so you need to so it very carefully. Writing to this flash disk is very stable and writing speed isn’t jumping. In the complect box with this device you can find defending surface witch is easy to use(if you want to protect your flash drive, don’t remove it). There are drivers for win98(for win XP and win 2k user it is not needed because system identify it automaticaly) with instruction how to use it in complect. The only minus is that it haven’t longer cable for USB device so if your USB port is in other side of PC, you will have to stand up from a chair.
There is a small test of this device
1. Access time (milliseconds) = 0.77
2. PCU utilization (Percent used) = 2.64
3. Transfer rate (beginning) (thousands bytes/seconds) = 8070 (8.070mb...

Looks good with its flashing LED
Review of Integral USB 2.0 Splash Drive - USB flash drive - 512 MB by
sit2020
Advantages: Reliable
Disadvantages: Might lose its head
...Due to changes in the way we operate our computers at work it was deemed necessary to supply us with Memory sticks. I was not involved with the choice, myself along with my colleagues were all supplied with these Integral USB 2.0 splash drives with a 512MB capacity. That is over 60 of the little beasties.
For those who do not know what a memory stick is, let me explain. All media (word processors, pictures, videos, presentations etc) can be stored electronically; normally you will save media to the internal hard drive of your computer.
If you want to move media from one computer to another you can email it (provided both computers have internet access), if both computers share an intranet connection (server, once only found in offices these are now more common in homes with broadband and routers) then the media can be shared...
