Belkin Powered Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7-port Hub
Review of Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Hub - hub - 7 ports by
patwanet
Advantages: Fast USB 2 Hub, Ports well spaced out
Disadvantages: Only for Desktop PC's really, Must have adequate PSU
...It should first be stated that this product is intended for use with a desktop computer and indeed it would only be practical to use it in such a manner.
The hub comes with an AC adapter which has a good length cable to reach the mains socket. A USB cable is also included to connect the hub to your computer. The hubs cannot function without the AC power.
There is nothing more frustrating than ports or sockets being too close together, meaning that large or bulky adapters or plugs can't fit in next to each other. This problem is avoided by the Belkin 7-port hub as the ports are well spaced out with four on one side and three on the other. There is an indicator light for each port to indicate whether it is working or not (on or off). There is no switch to turn off the hub - this would have to be done by disconnecting it from...

USB Hub:- Reliable USB Connection
Review of Belkin USB Hub hub - 4 ports by
Brianglo
Advantages: Small,stlish,value for money
Disadvantages: Plasticy. But all it will do is sit on a shelve.
...Being a fan of new technology and testing it as part of my work role , I have accumulated several USB devices.
Getting fed up of having to climb round the back of PC every time I want to plug something in I went on an exbidition to PC World on the hunt for a solution.
At 29.95 I found the solution in a Belkin 4 port USB Hub.
Sylish design and a good brand name made this product the only real choice for me.
The product comes complete with a power brick,USB cable and a set of instructions. Adding this to your system couldnot be simpler.
Plug one lead into PC USB port, the other end into hub. Plug in your USB devices to the hub and errrr thats it. No drivers to install,no PC to take apart , no nothing.
In my case , some of my devices needed power to be supplied by the USB port. In these cases , the supplied power brick can...

usb hub
Review of USB HUB 4P - hub - 4 ports by
kbestant
Advantages: very useful
Disadvantages: drains speed more devices you have
...anybody that has a usb hub will know they are fantastically useful, usb is now the industary standard most gadgets and addons, including printers, keyboards, mice, joypads, joy sticks, external hardrives and many other things.
this hub comes in a funky yellow colour , that may not be everyones taste, but i like it ! to be honest it counldnt be any simplier to get up and running.. plug it in an aviable usb slot, install the software and your away, as mentioned with most new products being usb compatbile, you will not always have enough ports to have all devices plugged in at once, this is the beauty of this product, it splits one usb port into 4.
this does however come at the cost of speed on usb 1.0 devices, as usb 1.0 is only transferring around 11mbs data, if for example u have an external harddrive and a mouse and a keyboard...

Port Ahoy! Cracking Belkin USB Hub
Review of Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Hub - hub - 7 ports by
fightgear
Advantages: great design, vertical ports for regular items such as memory sticks, led display
Disadvantages: maybe a bit expensive but comparrison but it is quality
...I bought this hub as an impulse purchase but based my decision on:
(a) you can never have enough usb ports
(b) belkin are a respected manufacturer
(c) I liked the design
It cost me £12 when I bought it but I think that was the stores mistake as I have seen it advertised at between £19 and £24. Even at that price though this is a good piece of kit.
Bearing in mind you can get USB 2 hubs for about half the piece of this one made by companies you may have never heard of, the design and features on this device make it a very attractive and useful addition to your desktop.
It has seven USB ports; five on the back and two placed nattily and very usefully on the top. The top ones are what make this great in my view. They are ideal for things you want to plug in and take out on a regular and irregular basis. I use them for usb...

Belkin USB hub
Review of Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Hub - hub - 7 ports by
curious_george
Advantages: Plenty of ports, stackable, simple display
Disadvantages: Yet another power lead, relativley short cable.
...Im not an expert on USB hubs, so il just try to give a a good review based on my experiences of the product. I hope its helpful.
Well, what can i say appart from "its a usb hub"!. It sits under my monitor and does everything i want it to to.
The hub is plug and play, so no installation needed. It does need its own power outlet, and the adaptor is fairly large. It has a pleasant appearance, and the display consists of a red LED indicating power, and a green LED for each device connected.
There are 5 USB 2.0 sockets on the back and 2 on the top. I've found that the rear sockets are best for permanent connections (keyboards, mice etc) and the top 2 are useful for small devices such as Digital cameras and especially USB flash drives.
When a lot of devices are connected the hub does tend to move around (through tension from...

Trust External 4 Port USB Hub
Review of Trust 4 Port USB Hub - HU 4140p by
tokenboy
Advantages: Price.
Disadvantages: You have to destroy the box to get the unit out.
...Trust 4 Port USB Hub.
Basics first I suppose. For the non techies out there, this device is used to connect up to four USB devices to your P.C., such as digital cameras. If like me you only have two USB ports on the back of your pc then this little device is a good investment for you. It is external, so there is no need to take the sides off of your computer and start mucking about inside.
The box contents are as follows.
USB Hub
USB Cable
Velcro Tape
Protective Carry Case
Multi Language User's Manual.
The hub is a small black unit with single connecting point on the back and four USB ports on the front for your USB peripheral such as digital cameras and MP3 players. A really big well done for Ciao for not putting a picture up, as I did provide the web address so that they could. The dimensions are 75mm...

I love my USB Hub - arn't I sad!
Review of Trust 7 Port USB2 Powered Hub HU-5770 UK - hub - 7 ports by
bluetedgirl
Advantages: It works - extra power boost and plug and play!
Disadvantages: Not suitable for seriously high drain usb connectivity
...OK, so I admit it, i'm a geek, happy now? Right, so my laptop recently decided that one of it's USB ports wouldn't work, so it gave up, completely and since most of my gadgets are USB connections I had big trouble. With only 2 USB2 ports I had to keep taking things out and putting them back in again, my external keyboard had a fit every time I plugged it back in again and all sorts of curse words came out of my mouth.
Then along came this little beauty. The problem with many USB hubs is they have no power and so multiple plug ins are being powered from the single laptop USB port and this slows things down. Well the power through this little device sorts that out immediately. It has 7 ports, and as long as you are clever and keep devices not in use turned off it minimises any problems, I currently have four working off mine...
