Genius Wireless USB Keyboard and Optical Mouse
Review of Genius Wireless TwinTouch+ Optical Value - keyboard , mouse by
alienateduk
Advantages: Wireless, Relativly cheap, Durable, Initially get rechargeable batteries
Disadvantages: Need to eventually buy new batteries, Problems with low power.
...essential in all modern mice. It has an optical laser so can be used on any surface.
Both the keyboard and the mouse are wireless and their signal is picked up by a smart receiver come battery charger. The feature of being wireless is great for people who use spaces for multiple purposes such as a written work/study area as well as for using a PC. It plugs into a standard USB A slot. The box comes with 6 rechargeable AA batteries, user manual and a driver CD.
The rechargeable batteries are a great addition to the pack however I found after a few months of use they did not hold the charge as well and did not last. This means eventually you will be using regular batteries which is obviously more expensive than using wired keyboard and mouse equivalents.
When the battery power in either the mouse or keyboard gets low it can lead...

A Basically Good Basic Keyboard
Review of Saitek Compact USB Keyboard keyboard by
pollypickle
Advantages: Simple installation, good performance, good value
Disadvantages: None really
...As far as basic keyboards go, the Saitek Compact USB keyboard is basically OK. I was particularly looking for a simple keyboard with a USB connection which I could plug into my new Dell Inspiron 1501 Laptop and this fits the bill perfectly. It even has the same colour scheme - black keys and silver casing.
Installation is simple - plug in and go. It doesn't need any software, the Add New Hardware Wizard in Windows installs it automatically.
It has adjustable feet so you can alter the angle and is very lightweight
It doesn't have anything but the usual basic keyboard functions but at a cost of £8.99 from Argos (used my Nectar rewards again!), I'm not complaining. It also comes with a 2 year guarantee.
It took me a little while to get used to the feel of the keyboard, as compared to others I have used, the Saitek keys...

Bridging the USB-PS/2 gap
Review of Belkin USB PS/2 Adapter keyboard / mouse adapter by
AJRAD
Advantages: allows you to use PS/2 devices on a USB port, cheap, easy
Disadvantages: none
...Well isn't this a nifty little device?
Doesn't it get annoying when you don't have enough space to plug in more PS/2 devices to your PC? PS/2 is becoming obsolete now and sometimes you will get computers without ports for them, including one of my laptops. Another problem with PS/2 ports are that they are always hard to get to; not only will you never find one on a frontal port section (on the front of a PC case) but at the back they are always buried under wires! Also, people with less knowledge about computers would be unlikely to know what a PS/2 port looks like, but will probably know what a USB port looks like!
Anyway, I was getting annoyed at my latest laptop for not having any PS/2 ports, since I was planning to use it for gaming and my favourite keyboard and mouse for gaming are both USB. So I went back to the shop I bought...

Not just a gamers keyboard
Review of Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard - keyboard by
nemesis2004
Advantages: robust, feature packed, incredibly useful, stylish
Disadvantages: large, expensive, replaced by an inferior model
...What's the difference between a standard keyboard and a gaming keyboard? Well, in this case, a honking great big LCD, 18 programmable macro keys, two USB ports and a bright-LED backlight!
The Logitech G15 is marketed as a Gamers keyboard when in fact, I think it would be more accurately described as a multipurpose keyboard. I don't really call myself a huge gamer - probably only clocking about 5 hours a week - however I bought this keyboard anyway, with the impression that it would help improve my general computer experience. This keyboard has perhaps been my most useful purchase to date.
Style
Even by the small thumbnail picture, it's evident that this keyboard really is one of a kind. For starters, it appears to have twice as many buttons as a traditional keyboard, and it does! As well as the full range of characters...

The best Natural keyboard yet.
Review of Microsoft Natural Pro - keyboard by
trungn
Advantages: Ergonomic, big wrist-rest, hotkeys, long cables, sensible layout of keys.
Disadvantages: Not very configurable, may not support your email/browser/media software.
...never get used to it and it did not seem logical to change it, as the 3x2 configuration pairs up keys, which do a similar function, e.g. Page Up/Page Down. The cursor keys were put in an odd cross shape instead of the upside-down 'T' shape, with the down arrow key below the left/right arrow keys.
I really liked the Elite keyboard and thought many times about buying it even though it had some faults, but I just never did give into the urge. I'm glad I didn't. When I saw the new Natural Keyboard Pro, I had to check it out. The shape is pretty much the same except that the wrist-rest for the numeric keypad is bigger, making it more comfortable to key in numbers. It supports a USB and PS/2 interface just like it's predecessors. You can use the keyboard using the PS/2 interface only, but I'm not sure if it's the same with USB. The Home...

Excellent quality keyboard! Top rated!
Review of Microsoft Digital Media Pro Keyboard keyboard by
sosull
Advantages: Great build quality, excellent key travel, My Favourites shortcut system, included wrist rest
Disadvantages: F Lock system a little fiddily and time consuming
...enclosure, I noticed a CD was included (which contained the drivers) and a small guide to assist in the setting up and use of the keyboard.
Setting Up
-------------------
As keyboards go this wasn\'t any more painful to get going than keyboards from other manufacturers. The connector is USB, however I used a USB/PS2 converter to save on a USB socket. I shut my machine down, changed over to my new Digital Media Pro and booted back up. The keyboard began to work immediately, however before the special extra keys worked I did need to install the keyboard drivers.
Additional Keys
-------------------
Alongside the standard QWERTY layout and the seperate numeric keypad on the right you do get some additional keys. First and foremost is the My Favourites panel along the top. This panel is completely configurable and lets you establish four...

Nice keyboard at a bargain price
Review of Logitech Internet keyboard by
d_guppy
Advantages: Good Quality, Lots of one touch buttons, scroll wheel if you don't have one on your mouse
Disadvantages: not cordless, No USB ports
...of the total sixteen, compared to Logitechs twenty-one buttons of which most are completely customisable.
The keyboard comes with connectors to fit both PS/2 and USB ports, although it does not have any USB ports of its own into which other devices can be plugged (a feature present on my Microsoft keyboard), but I wouldn’t expect it from a keyboard priced as it is.
The drivers and iTouch software are supplied on CD, which also includes a detailed User‘s Guide.
The keyboard comes with a limited five-year warranty (details included in the User Guide – I haven’t looked at the detail of what is termed ‘limited’).
Looking at the keyboard from above the shape is slightly rounded at the corners giving it a more cosy feel than many cheap angular keyboards. The colour is the usual whitey beige with dark grey one-touch keys, dark grey detachable...

Bored of your keyboard ?
Review of Ideazon Zboard Gaming Keyboard ZBD101 - keyboard by
lostsworld
Advantages: Many
Disadvantages: Cost
...The keyboard I am reviewing is the wired USB Zboard not the merc zboard.
The Ideazon Zboard Keyboard is no ordinary keyboard and the only one of its kind I have seen. It is a multimedia gaming keyboard with interchangeable keysets that can be bought separately.
The keyboard itself has many functions on it for ease of use in Windows and ingame. The keysets that can be bought are designed for those games specifically and has labelled keys and functions for quick recognisable use in your games.
The version I bought was the Zboard starter kit, you can get the keyboards alone or with other add-ons. With the starter kit you get the keyboard base itself, a standard keyset(qwerty), a generic gaming keyset that can be programmed and a wrist rest. When it first arrived I was impressed as it looked huge but is actually not that much...
