Victorinox Swissbit USB flash drive - 1 GB
Review of Swissbit SWISSMEMORY USB Victorinox retroALOX - USB flash drive - 1 GB by
Itstar77
Advantages: Durable and Well built. Nice Design.
Disadvantages: Doesn't have any Swiss Army Knife accessories.
...This is a USB flash drive produced by Victorinox, makers of the Swiss Army knife. The design is basically a USB Swiss Army knife without the knife and accessories. The outer case is made of durable aluminium rather than the more traditional red plastic. The design is nice and much better than a lot of other flash drives, however I think i prefer the more iconic red plastic version. The drive is about 6 cm long, just over 1 cm wide and just under 1 cm high.
The USB stick is clear plastic allowing you to see the circuit board inside, while the USB plug is gold coloured. The stick flips out of the case when in use and is held in place by a clip at the keyring end when being carried. A small green LED on the circuit board indicates activity when plugged into a USB port.
The drive is USB 2.0 compatible and I have used it on both PC...

(very, very) Easy Disk Memory stick
Review of 128 MB Dabsvalue usb memory stick by
bad_bob00
Advantages: Excellent price - about 12p per megabyte, needs no drivers
Disadvantages: Need Windows XP
...a problem on the college computers) and simply copy and paste to the memory stick.
The actual transfer rate of data is very quick, taking a few seconds just to copy about 5MB; this is thanks to the Hi-Speed USB 2.0 which is used. I don't come close to using the full 128MB, but it is there if the occasion does arise.
Overall I really recommend the DabsValue Easy Disk to anyone getting fed up of wasting money on Floppy Disks, especially as they are not becoming redundant and Floppy Disk Drives are even being removed from some newer machines before they are sold. USB memory sticks are the next logical thing to be using, and for 128MB it costs just £10, which is far better value then spending a couple of quid for a few 1.44MB floppy disks. The transfer rate is very quick, and the U-Storage program included is a nice feature to have, especially...

Viking USB 2.0 Flash Drive 1GB
Review of Viking USB 2.0 Drive USB flash drive - 1 GB by
bindie
Advantages: Small, High Capacity, Quick Transfer Rate
Disadvantages: None As Yet
...I bought this pen drive when I came across a website that I found on google by accident. They were selling it in their sale for £14.99. So I though that I would give it a try.
It cam in the post, and I opened the bag that it came in, and I was shocked by the size of the pen. It was the smallest pen that I had ever seen. I was worried at first because it is so small that it would be easy to lose it, and I thought that I would very quickly. Although there is a hole at the end where you can put a clip through so you can attach it to something, i.e. around you neck, on a key ring, etc.
It has a lid to keep the USB connection clean and so that it can not be broken. Once it has been taken off, you can plug it straight into the USB port on you computer. It works at its best via the USB 2.0 port. This allows high speeds of data transfer...

1GB Memory Stick with Neck Lanyard
Review of SanDisk Cruzer Crossfire - USB flash drive - 1 GB by
nollie99
Advantages: Looks Pretty Good, LED Light displays when in use, Small in Size
Disadvantages: 1GB may not be enough for everyone, Easily Lost
...I purchased this memory stick for £19.99 from PC World last summer and I have been very happy with it on the whole. Unlike many other memory sticks, on the lid there is a small hole which has various uses, such as with the neck lanyard which has come supplied with it.
Unfortunately the neck lanyard was not particularly strong and snapped after a few weeks of owning it - but hey, what neck lanyard is manufactured to withstand any kind of heavy weight?
I know that most memory sticks have a lid or a cap on, but they really do annoy me. I've gone through a few memory sticks and I keep losing the caps to them! It may not affect the working or functionality of the USB stick itself, but it completes the design, so there isn't a piece of ugly metal sticking out.
The memory stick is quite small as far as memory sticks go - 5.5cm...
