Disadvantages: let down by low quality internals

...Fully featured, sounds good due to good speaker, my only quibbles are the quality of the internal parts, eg the low hum when you listen to cd's quietly, wont affect you if you listen loud but is a tell tale sign of low quality electronics. sound quality from mp3's could be better as they sound great coming from my pc through the aux input of this stereo but are of variable quality through the internal codec via USB. I also had problems after using the cd and usb for the first time. they worked ok for a while but after about an hour the cd packed up for 2 days, the usb socket gave nasty watery crackling sound when I played mp3's but after a couple days this also cleared up and i have had no problems since. Overall I would say this is a good system for the price despite teething troubles, it has given me many hours of pleasure.... Read review

Advantages: Good software bundle, cheap, works well.
Disadvantages: Only stereo out on analogue

It may be you are a laptop owner and plagued by their notoriously poor audio capabilities. In either case, if you need to upgrade your machine's sound capabilities, the Creative SoundBlaster MP3+ is just what the doctor ordered. Advantages: Cheap! small, user friendly, no-one will ever want to steal it and you can replace cheaply if it breaks!
Disadvantages: No locking device, non standard headphones, obviously not hi-tech!

Plays MP3s and WMAs Also comes with: headphones, 1 x (non rechargeable) battery, tiny instruction manual. ~~Uploading songs~~ Take the little plastic nodule-type lid off to reveal a USB connector. Stick it in your USB port. If you have Windows 2000 or later it will recognize it, if not you can apparently download the right driver from the Tesco website. It says in the instruction manual that you can just copy and paste files onto it like a normal storage device. I found I could do this with songs I'd already copied to my hard drive, but not when I just put a CD in. For that I used the 'rip' function on Windows Media Player. I think this is to do with the copyright or the software, rather than this MP3 player as my old one was the same, but thought I would mention... Read review

...Ok, to start this review off as you can see by the pic it is a small usb pen mp3 player in black and silver with an LCD screen. On the front it has a play button that acts as play/pause and on/off, on the sides it has the mode button, volume control, earphones, hold button, a mic and a metal keychain attachment. The deivce is nice and light and uses 1 x AAA battery. Although the instructions do not say, if you use a 700mah battery you should get around 5hrs of play out of it. The package comes in a small card board box with a plastic interior and the parts are wrapped in a plastic bag. In the box itself you should get, the mp3 player, 1 battery, earphones, usb cable, user manual and a cd-rom for Windows98. ...Napa 256 Mb MP3 Player. This portable MP3 player seems to be only available from Currys and Dixons, or at least it was at Christmas when I bought mine. For anyone who doesn't know, an Mp3 player can be used to store digital music tracks, and then can be used to payback whenever you wish. Basically it's a new age digital personal stereo. It is really quite small for what it is. Its size is : 85mm x 35mm x 20mm. This is roughly the same size as your index and middle finger combined. Its weight is 40 grams. You need to be able to connect your Mp3 player to your PC, which is achieved by using the USB cable which is supplied in the box. A CD which has the driver for your Mp3 player is also included, but if you are running a reasonably up to date operating system such as Windows ME or higher then the driver is unnecessary... ...A very cool, stylish mp3 player. I got mine at christmas and when i opened it and saw the box i was well pleased. The picture on the box is almost the size of the actual mp3 player itself. It's slim and small. Great for music on the move! Packard Bell are a great reputable company and have made a good mp3 player here. I found the product very easy to install from the cd and the USB wire and it is very simple to move mp3 tracks onto the great 1 GB hard drive just drag and drop onto the mp3 player folder! The product also comes with a protective cover to prevent damage which is cool and new software can easily be installed onto it. The screen is also colour with colours blue and yellow which is trendy and makes it more attractive. You can also record voice files on this product which can be useful and the buttons are easily accessible... Read review

But why did I choose this MP3 player, because I am an Internet user, it doesn’t jump when you walk like portable CD players and you don’t need any wires to connect it to your computer as the memory is a USB stick! General When you buy it, it comes with instructions, software for your PC, MP3 player (including memory) and headphones. You can buy this at the cheapest price of £65. (The cheapest I’ve seen.) The instructions are quite clear and understandable. They show how to change the battery, how to connect it to your computer/laptop and transferring music into you memory. ...I recently went to use my personal CD player and to my disappointment it was broken. Anyhow I decided it was time to give up the ghost and buy myself something new. I grabbed the Argos catalogue and had a browse and spotted a cheap little 1 GB MP3 Player and as I have just added all my CD collection onto my hard drive a short while ago I thought this would be ideal. The MP3 player made by a company called iitronics who have their own website www.iitronics.com . The model that I purchased was the IMP-65 Portable WMA/MP3 player. It can hold up to 1024MB of data and has a built in microphone. The packaging was very good and it included some basic earphones, a USB cable, an AAA battery and a CD driver disc.
