...If you want a solid, reliable, albeit slightly boring, memory stick: This is it. The DataTraveler II plus migo edition USB drive is solid, dependable, all the things a memory stick should be. One thing it isn't is pretty. It doesn't stand out from the crowd, it doesn't scream look on me. It does exactly what it says it does and goes about it with very little fuss. And if it wasn't for the Corsair Flash Voyagers this would be my weapon of choice. It's reasonably fast. It may not be the fastest out there, but for your average user it seems as fast as necessary. Furthermore the obligatory neck strap is also supplied . Its predessessor the Zen Muvo had a direct connecting USB connector . The Nano plus however resorts to USB cable connector ( 1.5 mtr. cable supplied ) , which for me is better suited to my computer which has no front USB access . Accesing the main functions is via a scroll wheel . Depress it to get into menu mode then turn forwards / backwards to select your required option . ...making navigation a nightmare at times - playlists are folders so you copy tracks over to a named folder and a playlist is automatically created with the same name. This does mean however, that you can't use Windows Media Player to manage the Stone very well as it dumps everything into one folder, and the Stone does not recognize normal playlists, so you have to manually compile your favourite playlists by the slow and painstaking method of finding individual tracks by hand which can be frustrating. - a mains charger with the miniUSB cable is extra which is annoying as without one you have to turn your computer on and make sure that when out and about you have the correct cable with you otherwise you won't be able to charge your player In summary, the Stone Plus has a good all round spec, let down a little by some fiddly and slow...
