The Beauty of A Belkin 4 Port USB Bank!

Advantages: Works on Mac and PC systems*, nice design, space for 4 ports, can work self powered to a point.
Disadvantages: Mains adaptor required for all 4 ports to work otherwise 2 high speed ports will only work a time.

Advantages: Simple installation, very useful, robust and affordable.
Disadvantages: Cable is a tad short.

...A lot of laptops and netbooks come complete with two USB ports, capable of accommodating your mouse, digital camera for image transfer, and the optional USB Mug Warmer(!). Whatever the reason for you running out of USB ports on your computer the solution is right here, the Belkin Hi-Speed USB 4-Port Hub. Port Ahoy! Cracking Belkin USB Hub

Advantages: great design, vertical ports for regular items such as memory sticks, led display
Disadvantages: maybe a bit expensive but comparrison but it is quality

...I bought this hub as an impulse purchase but based my decision on: (a) you can never have enough usb ports (b) belkin are a respected manufacturer (c) I liked the design It cost me £12 when I bought it but I think that was the stores mistake as I have seen it advertised at between £19 and £24. Even at that price though this is a good piece of kit. Bearing in mind you can get USB 2 hubs...
