Don't Defy WiFi, Reach for the Sky-pe!
Review of Belkin F1PP000GN Skype WIFI Phone by
lisacallow
Advantages: Easy to use, functional and portable.
Disadvantages: No text messaging function and no charging cradle.
..., but as long as youhave a mobile phone, charged all of the time, it shouldn't deem so much of a problem.
****************************************************************************
THE PRODUCT: Belkin F1PP000GN Skype WIFI Phone.
The Belkin Skype Wi-Fi phone looks pretty much like a normal cordless or mobile phone, and is distinctly similar in features to the Sony Ericcson K800i. The keypad is a standard numeric keypad, additionally with call and hang up buttons just underneath the screen. Centrally the phone features a joystick for quick navigation through your Skype Contacts.
The phone itself is a black, reinforced style plastic (as is the K800i) with a rubberised back for easier grip., and removable battery cover.
At the base of the phone there is a USB charging point (the phone can also be mains charged and comes with the necessary...

Nintendo Wi-Fi service
Review of Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Online Service by
zitzong
Advantages: can play with people around the world for FREE
Disadvantages: a bit too 'safe' concerning interaction with other players
...and the Internet such as a Wireless Router or the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector. I have a Wireless Router at home and found that my one was not compatable so I bought the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector. Using a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB is probably the far easiest method of using the service. To do so you simply need to connect the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector into a spare USB connector in your PC, then install the software and simply connect using the Nintendo DS game software. As long as your PC and Internet Connection is on and working you will find that it will work within about 10 meters.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST ME?
Well the service is completely FREE to all Nintendo DS owners. As long as you have a Internet connection then you can use the service with no additional cost of using it. If you haven't got the Internet then it may be possible to play...

*Get a WiFi from an Archos PMP*
Review of Archos 704 WiFi 40 GB by
1st2thebar
Advantages: fantastic media features
Disadvantages: requires daily wipe due to fingerprints
...on the amount of compression the files have been put through before transferring to the 704. Being aware of compression and quality, I’ve transferred digitally data via USB from the PC to the 704 in multiples of (4) at a time files of up to 5MB; for files of up to 40MB or more I always do it one at a time. It saves any devices from crashing and it is always a quick transfer. For those of you who have a quick broadband it is much more efficient to originally download media files via your PC, then transfer them to the portable 704. The Wifi wireless connectivity allows browsing with mozilla firefox and Internet Explorer. The speed is 320 kbps so therefore too slow to download any media content via any websites. It is perfect for emailing ‘on the run’ checking news and blogs; articled based sites etc. The next version, I’m sure will incorporate a wider...

Almost Perfect
Review of Nintendo DS WiFi USB Access Point by
mr_mlk
Advantages: Simple
Disadvantages: Nintendo Only
...Overview
-=-=-=-=-
This is a lovely bit of kit. A simple install and “one-click” set up on the devices makes this idea for any none-tech with Nintendo kit looking to get online. The one problem with it is it is Nintendo only, it will not work with a PSP or WiFi enabled mobile phone.
What Is It?
-=-=-=-=-
In simple terms it shares your broadband internet connection with your Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii so you can play WiFi games (marked blue circle containing the words “Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection” on the box) over the internet. You do not require a Nintendo WiFi USB Connector to play such games, if you already have Wireless (many Broadband providers now supply a Wireless Router) you can use that instead, however this is much simpler to set up on the Wii and NDS than other methods.
Installation...

Let me see your Dongle
Review of Nintendo DS WiFi USB Access Point by
nathaninnit
Advantages: You're connected online for 'free'
Disadvantages: Computer security can get in the way
...you could so by either having a wireless internet connection in your house, or if you aren't that lucky, you could buy the Nintendo USB WiFi adaptor, which would turn your home into a WiFi hotspot. This adaptor earnt its nickname the 'dongle' through internet communities, but how much would this dongle cost? Was this the hidden price? Play.com claims that the RRP for the product is £34.99, although they sell it for £27.99, which is around what I paid for it over a year ago now. I guess with the release of the Wii there has been additional interest.
As you would expect, the dongle does not just allow you access to the internet through your Nintendo DS, but it also allows you to take your brand spanking new Wii online. Sadly, it's Nintendo products only so don't try and take your Xbox 360 online through it. For your money you get...

605 wifi a great media player
Review of Archos 605 WIFI 80GB by
harry1511
Advantages: wifi, great screen, internet browser, media streamer
Disadvantages: hidden costs for plug ins
...I ordered my Archos 605 80gb wifi from curry's digital and went to collect in store. After the first charge which takes forever using the supplied usb connector (48 hours for the charge light to flash fully charged) I was ready to start using my player.
One of the first things i discovered is that to get maximum usefulness out of the 605 you will need to hand over more of your hard earn cash. these include cinema plug ins, web browser around 20 euro's each. Then if you wish to use the player to play videos on your tv or record from a video source you will need to shell out around a further £50 for the DVR station. This I seriously recommend as it charges the 605 when docked much quicker than the usb cable and allows you to charge it without a computer.
But back to the player itself, the screen quality is great i can find...
