A Hilarious and Crazy Forgotten Gem of a Comedy

Advantages: those who love Kurt Russell and Robert Zemeckis have to check this out
Disadvantages: Somewhat dated, but nothing else

...Fast and hysterical from the word go, this hardly remembered 1980 comedy from the writing team of Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis (who later made BACK TO THE FUTURE) is a genuine trip...and a great way to spend a night in front of the TV with anyone your with to have some great laughs. I saw this on Sky Tv a few days ago, and can't believe I've never seen it until now, let alone heard of it, and this film I think definately does deserve a resurfacing for the modern audience, and I will explain exactly why a little later. The tagline for the film when it was released says it all really: "Estimated Laugh Count: 287 City, 410 Highway. Use these numbers only for comparison! Review of Used Cars (DVD)

Brilliant infant car seat

Advantages: Excellent for safety, comfort and totally practical
Disadvantages: no negatives for this product

...I used this for my daughter and used it from birth right through to the upper weight limit which is actually higher than most other car seats in this category. She always seemed so content in it and happily napped when travelling. The sun canopy is excellent, great for protecting the baby when driving and carrying about. Sun canopy also stores away easily when not in use, remaining attatched but out for the way. I also bought the easybase which made loading and unloading baby from car very quick and easy - especially when its raining which it so often does here. Also purchased mosquito net & Raincover both excellent purchases and in the UK I certainly needed them. I liked the fact that there were internal pads that could be removed as she grew to enable more comfort and space for her within the seat. Covers are easily removed for washing...

Pongy car? Then don't use this!!!

Advantages: Well, I did get it free. I guess that this is an advantage!!!
Disadvantages: Little smell. Ineffective. Slightly pricey for what it is.

...for the planet I suppose. It is a bog standard type of air freshener. Put simply it looks like a coaster. It is basically just manufactured cardboard soaked in a scented solution. The idea of the product is that the scent emanates from the rear view mirror, which is where you hang it. Over time I suppose it would help to mask things like cigarette smoke or the scent of dog from the car. Personally, my car doesn't really smell to bad anyway. It is relatively new; I have no dog and don't smoke!!! The plus side of this product is that the smell isn't actually offensive, I wouldn't go so far to say that it is nice, but nor is it terrible. After a while you get used to it and it is very hard to notice at all. The downside is that as it is such a slight smell, I am not sure if you smoked heavily how effective it would be at actually masking the smell...

...more space so your baby can fit in the seat for longer. They are a nice shape, I've seen some car seats which leave your baby hunched up but this one doesn't do that. Are they practical? Definitely. You can easily get the car seat in and out of the car so you don't even have to wake your baby up. They have a handle which pulls forward and a sunhood which you can pull over and attach to the handle. This is something which has come in really useful we have found. The straps are easy to adjust an tighten and there is a very handy little 'cupboard' in the seat too which makes great use of the extra space so we often keep a spare emergency nappy or two in there. They also easily clip onto sets of wheens such as the maxi cosi and the quinny. Can you clean them? They are quite awkward to clean as they are fabric so it can be difficult to...

...I bought this when I had my baby as it was apparently the best on the market and I really can't find fault with it at all it has been the most reliable of our baby products and can't rate it highly enough. This car seat is different from others as it is suitable for up to 9 months whilst the majority of others are just up to 6 months. The seat is well padded and has a 'head hugger' so it is safer for newborns. This headhugger can then be removed once your baby is big enough. The straps also can be adjusted once your baby grows so that it is still safe and comfortable. The straps are easy to use- at first they were fiddly but once you have the hang of them then you know what you're doing they're easy! once you have strapped your baby in you then pull on the straps to make them tight so that your baby is safetly in place...
