...We bought our Honda Civic 1.5i VTEC-E in 1997 when it was 7 months old, but just had delivery mileage. Our local Perth dealer (Weir Honda) were offering what was a nearly new car with around £1500 off the new price. We knew from looking at comparative prices that this was a good deal and managed to get mudflaps and carpet mats fitted as well. Broadly the experience has been very good - the dealer has been helpful in sorting out several minor problems. These were rattle in top end of the engine (a minor adjustment), a missing jacking point on the rear nearside, a silencer which gave out after 2 years' use, squeaky ventilation fan and a stuck sunroof (x2). Advantages: Great Transmission. Smooth Engine. Low Running Costs. Hugely Spacious Interior. Build Quality.

...and very good quality stereo, there are many who would happily buy a stripped out version for £10,000. Honda's policy here ensures that unless they buy a used one, that simply is not possible. THE OPTIONS GAME: 9 / 10 or "How much do I need to spend to make it habitable?" The Honda Jazz 1.4 SE CVT-7 is absolutely inhabitable on the road in standard specification. It even looks quite good in the standard, non-metallic blood red paintwork. The only options that I personally would advise adding are; metallic paint at a very reasonable £350, and a leather steering wheel at an exorbitant £190. Yes, you could rack up the price by another £3500 by adding satellite navigation, a full leather interior, sun roof, central arm rests front and rear, but at over £15,000 you would be better off buying something larger rather than building your own...

...Just to clear a few things up from previous review. MK II Honda CRX is NOT a boy racer car at all. The majority of UK owned MK II's are owned by enthusiasts from the owners club and are taken complete care of regardless of cost . I spent £500 on mine just last month, no not on neon lights and a body kit. New clutch, new discs and calipers, new exhaust (Standard), CV boots and Tax. I fitted all the parts myself as Honda's labour charges are ridiculous and I don't trust anybody else It's an excellent car though. Honda Civic Type-R (2005)

Advantages: Speed, Handling, Engine Note, i-Vtec

It's not the fastest car on the road, but it's still got the grunt to surprise me after six months and ten thousand miles. Another concern I had was when I read that some people had troubles with the drive on thier commute. I have found that this is not the case. In fact, I found this car easier to live with day-to-day than an old turbo-charged hot-hatch I owned (Gti) - this is due to the Honda i-VTEC kicking in at 6000 rpm, hence you can easliy drive in traffic to 4000 rpm and the engine is quite passive and easy to use. Unbeatable hot hatch fun from honda

...As a 21 year-old guy, understandably insurance was always going to be a deal-breaker when buying a civic type-R. But having sorted finances, I went ahead and decided to go for it. After turning 21, I thought of getting a nippier car. since passing my test I have driven a peugeot 106 diesel, and felt I had enough 'road confidence to go ahead and jump in at the deep end with a more powerful car. To the point then, I first researched prices on autotrader and the honda used car website. Unsurprisingly, these cars hold their value extremely well, being not only reliable, but desirable to boot. These two attributes are not easy to find in most performance cars. Insurance quotes went from bad to worse, ranging from £2000 to £5500 one year fully comp. ...I would not think of Honda when it comes to 4 X 4 jeep type off roaders. Landrover,Suzuki and Chrysler Jeep yes! it now seems every motor manufacturer wants to jump on the offroad bandwagon and build a 4 x 4. But the Honda CRV is a nice little car as well as an off roader. I compare it to the Rav 4 and BMW or Mercedes offering. Special edition models of popular cars usually add a number of extra equipment items for little extra cost and that's exactly what Honda offers with its HR-V 'Special Edition'. It comes in 2 flavours of Jeep. A 2 Wheel version and a 4WD version. The difference in Price is only £500 to. ...WAW.... Well i finally have my Honda civic Type R. I was lucky to get the leather interior and aircon and cd changer which is always nice to have. Its GREAT, i was a little worried about the gears but that has seemed to be one of the best things about it. its close to the steering wheel and its just feels right. This car is for people who want to have a reliable fast car. ok im not saying that its going to blow your socks off but its quick enough to have a little fun. everything about the car is great, the looks, the feel and the sound grat. And its true what they say, it always puts a smile on your face when you reach 6000 revs and let the type R go. even talking about it puts a smile on my face its great, now i know what you probably thinking, that this dude is forver saying GREAT but guess what it really is. now...

...I have recently purchased a car from a Honda dealership in Inverness, part of the Macrea and Dick chain and thought I would share my experience with you. The car review is else where on the site. First impressions... I started off as most of us do at the car dealers, walking round the forecourt looking at the cars, peering in the windows and wishing i had more money!!! At other garages i have visited lately, i would have been jumped on the moment i got out of my car to look round, not here though. There were of course salesmen keeping an eye on me from inside the building, but i was allowed the time to look about and talk with the girlfriend about what we liked and so on. Only when we had stopped and stayed looking at one car did some one come out to see us. The salesman was smartly dressed, no scrumples or creases in his jacket...

Advantages: Longer lasting vehicles
Disadvantages: parts are a bit more expensive, but definitely worth it!

...more expensive than American car parts, but it pretty much evens itself out because you are paying more for your car parts that last three times as long as American parts do. Everything else about Hondas are positive. You can get them in multiple colors(obviously). My 1986 Honda is a 5 speed with positive features like...power steering, Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Recycled air option, Tilt steering, Reclining seats that are very comfortable for long trips.I am also impressed with the handling of this vehicle on the wet and dry roads. My favorite feature is the 5 speed(I would never own an automatic). Standard transmissions are a lot more maintenance free! One other thing I like about my Honda Accord, is it holds one gallon of windshield washer fluid(I am constantly using it to clean the windshield)That is a nice feature to me...
