Affordable wireless adapter.
Review of Belkin Wireless G USB Network Adapter Network adapter by  DragonflyWales

Advantages: Wireless connectivity - Supplied with stand - Fast data transfer - Good Price
Disadvantages: Temperamental Software, Stand Falls Over - Installation hit & miss

...I currently have 3 of these adapters installed at my home connecting 3 PC's wirelessly to a BT Voyager2500V Router. I purchased the first one after suffering months of problems with an intermittent broadband connection using an extension cable. The adapter comes well packaged in a far larger box than is necessary (minus points for environmental responsibility) and is supplied complete with software drivers, software to manage the wireless network, a desktop stand for the adapter and an instruction sheet. 1st impressions were that the build quality is adequate although with the adapter being very light the stand could definitely have done with being heavier. I have never installed a network before but the installation sheet made all seem very straightforward. 1. Install Software. 2. Plug in adapter when prompted. 3. Away... Read review

Wireless - Works Even If You're Clueless
Review of Linksys Instant Wireless USB Network Adapter WUSB11 by  BNibbles

Advantages: Very neat. USB option brings greater flexiblity
Disadvantages: Not much of a conversation piece

...sticking out of the back, which of course means that the said protrusion will be at the back of your PC once installed! Then there is the version more suited to laptops, which comes as a PCMCIA-format card, inserted into the expansion slot on the side of the laptop. These tend to have a built-in aerial and stick out slightly from the side of the PC. Thirdly, there is the option I chose, which is an external USB-connected device on the end of a wander lead. This gives a certain degree of extra flexibility – firstly it is compatible with any USB-equipped PC, laptop or desktop, and secondly, the lead gives you the option of positioning the aerial away from the PC slightly, possible up on a wall, should transmission quality become an issue. The particular wireless adapter that I purchased was the Linksys Wireless USB Network Adapter (WUSB11... Read review

Little wireless receiver
Review of Belkin Wireless High Speed Mode USB Adapter Network adapter by  greatmum1

Advantages: Good connectivity
Disadvantages: none significant

...We recently changed from wired connection to wireless Broadband after much debate. The demand for computer use, sharing of computer time was becoming a big hassle and going wireless and networking the main PC and Laptops seemed to be a viable solution. Belkin Wireless High Speed Mode USB Adapter Network adapter connects with a PC or Laptop to pick up signals sent by a Wireless router. This network adapter is external and will fit into (plugged to) a USB 2.0 port. Many broadband providers will supply a free router (or a router at a subsidised price), but with a Router but you will need a networking card or an adapter to go wireless. The manufacturer of Belkin USB network adapter gives the Data Transfer Rate: 54 Mbps and this is seen as the speed most of the time. If you wish to have higher speed- wireless is not an option use USB... Read review

"Pre-N"inent Wireless Performance
Review of Belkin Wireless Pre-N Desktop Network Card Network adapter by  LegendaryMrDude

Advantages: Range, Speed, Reliability
Disadvantages: Bulkier than other PC-Cards, slightly more expensive

...) technology that 802.11n relies on for its improvements. While NetGear have seized the MIMO brand for their new product, Belkin have opted for the more honest "Pre-N" label, indicative of the fact that the product is pre-standard. So why would I buy a pre-standard networking technology? Well, if you've read my review of the Belkin Pre-N wireless router (shameless plug), you will have some ideas. To summarise, I was having problems with my old Belkin 802.11g router. Range and bandwidth were both at fault and the Pre-N promise of an 800% increase in range and a doubling of throughput was too good to pass over. So I bought a Pre-N router and got a free Pre-N network card with it. At this point, it's worth stating that you will only get any advantage from the Pre-N technology if both your access point AND your PC are running Belkin's own Pre... Read review

Perfect wireless home networking
Review of Belkin ADSL Modem with Wireless-G Router and Wireless G USB Network Adapter - wireless router by  theenglishviet

Advantages: Easy to set up, good range,
Disadvantages: Bit bulky

...I always do my research before making an electronic purchase, have a look on the internet to see what products are availble, compare them against each other and then have a look at the price. If its not in my price range, i discard it! In the end, I went with teh Belkin, mainly because I know that Belkin do quality networking products. I already had a modem router at home, but i have three laptops that i needed to connect, and i don't like being bounded by wires (simply because that means everyone ends up in my room!) so i decided to invest in this. Already an advantage, this product came with a free USB wireless adapter! Firstly, the difference between wireless G and wireless B (802.11g or 802.11b) is that G is faster than B, by about 5 times (although this is the maximum). I don't know of any other differences, i thought... Read review

belkin wireless adapter
Review of Belkin Wireless High Speed Mode USB Adapter Network adapter by  techno_man_37

Advantages: works great most of the time
Disadvantages: none, except for the first few months for me.

...This little wireless adapter is designed to plug right into laptop of pc’s usb ports so that it enables them to be wireless and therefore can pick up a signal from a network. This can plug into your pc or laptop 2 different ways, firstly it can plug in much like a usb memory stick and just the stick itself can go straight into a usb port on your laptop or pc. The second way is to plug the holder into the pc of laptops usb port, this holder conveniently holds the wireless stick in place and has a wire leading out which can plug into the usb ports. This lead can go about a meter so is handy if you need to position it somewhere else on your desktop, also it looks quite good in its little holster and doesn’t look out of place. I bought this one a while ago from comet for I think around £20, I bought it mainly because... Read review

An aid to wireless internet
Review of Belkin Wireless G Plus MIMO USB Adapter Network adapter by  austenh

Advantages: easy to set up
Disadvantages: None so far, couldn't use bundled software

...to give 4 bars which means you can access it in a tree outside the house. Sorry if that doesn't make sense, It's just a representation of how powerful the modem is I guess. Where my computer is I thought that I would need fairly good coverage due to doors that may be closed during a Saturday afternoon of listening to Crawley Town through the internet ;) I bought this wireless adapter as a) it wasn't too expensive (£29.99), b)Promised good coverage and c) was about the only one on the shelf at PC world. Upon getting home I opened the box and found very few pieces. On the one side I thought this was good as there aren't lots of things to plug in, but I was not a fan of the fact that the instructions could have been written on a postage stamp, in case things went wrong. In the end the actual adapter was easy to install but connecting... Read review

My Sitecom 11M WL-013 - Wireless Access Point
Review of Sitecom Wireless Network Access Point 11M WL-013 by  rcandeias

Advantages: Very small - Good connection and signal - doesn't overheat - does the job
Disadvantages: Not sure how well it works with PCI wireless PC card

...My experience of this product is that it works quite well the reason why it doesn't go from good to excellent will be explained bellow. I have 2 PC's and 1 laptop I wanted the main PC to be hard-wired as that one is right next to the access hub and modem so no need to be wireless and anyway the main machine should always be hard-wired as no wireless can beat that. Then I have my son's laptop a Dell Inspiron 2200 which has already a wireless network card, and this machine runs perfect via the wireless access point anywhere in the house, and my house is a 3 storey house so plenty of range. However I did install a wireless PCI network card on the PC on 3rd level of the house and this connection was intermittent which meant going back to hard-wire there, now I cannot say for sure if this was a card problem or the access point problem... Review of Belkin Wireless G Access Point F5D7130 by  nemesis2004

Advantages: Fast, Easy Setup
Disadvantages: Technology beginning to become outdated

...Computer?** Belkin's official system requirements are: At least one computer with an installed 802.11g or 802.11b-compliant wireless Ethernet adapter (if you get the package with the included wireless network cards this is not needed. TCP/IP networking protocol installed on each computer (you shouldn't need to worry about this, most modern operating systems (Windows 95+) have this protocol installed by default. CAT5 networking cable or better - This is to connect the device to your pre-existing network. Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later, or Netscape 4.0 or later (Firefox, Safari and others work well too. This is just to access the Advanced Web-Based User Interface) **Why Should I Even Get One?** It's a bother trailing wires around the floor isn't it?
