The UV filter which is mentioned on the front strenghtens and protects you hair agains split ends and protects from the cold weather. ...Having very fine straight hair, and loads of it, I find it very difficult to find a good shampoo and conditioner which keeps my hair looking good. However, my search is now over as I have discovered L'oreal Elvive. I chose the UV Filter colour protect shampoo as I have blond hair which has previously been highlighted. The shampoo smells wonderful and is very thick (almost to that of a conditioner). It smooths on the hair very easily and lathers up well. After rinsing I use the same UV Filter conditioner and am happy to say the results are amazing. I haven't had my hair highlighted for at least a year but you would never know. The shampoo and conditioner not only makes your hair feel great it also retains the colour. ...I have blonde highlights in my hair and I always find that my hair feels weak, tangled, dry and coarse when I have had them done. To remove the feeling of "straw hair syndrome" I use L'Oreal Elvive UV Filter Shampoo. This shampoo is the business. It works best inconjunction with the conditioner, but if you have't time to condition (naughty-naughty) then this shampoo still leaves you hair looking great. This shampoo actually protects your coloured hair and makes your colour last longer. The shampoo has a nice creamy thickish consistency, that produces a rich soapy lather, which feels luxurious when massaged into the scalp. The hair mask comes in a tub identical to the Whipped Olive Oil body cream. It is a round, clear plastic tub with a white plastic lid and the planet spa logo on the front of the lid. It contains 200ml. After taking off the lid the mask is a pot of green coloured goo which looks just like conditioner and has a lovely fresh smell to it which is identical to the body cream. I was keen to rate this product immediately after using it however I have waited three weeks and three applications before giving my verdict. Upon visual inspection there is an easy way to tell from the shape of the lens edge whether it is the correct way round, the last lenses i used seemed to be almost the same either way, the only way to tell was to put them in and see if i could see! this was a nice suprise. The lenses seem to be made of a softer more rubber-like material than the other lenses i have tried which may make them more susceptible to damage but will also make them more comfortable for long wear. The inclusion of a UV filter in the lenses is a nice touch as UV is a concern in this day and age.... Read review

...Having thought about righting a review on a sun tan or other sun products I thought …. Why bother, I would rather just right a passage about the route cause on why people should use sun block and not go on sun beds…so I got my chemist brain out and here you go…. Hope this piece does not scare the sun lover's amounts you!!! I am very fond of going on holiday and getting a sun tan , but having worked with harmful UV lamps I try to use a sun block which blocks out most of the suns rays. Lets not forget that we need the suns rays to synthesise Vitamin D. Vitamin D is vital for effective calcium absorption by the intestine. Calcium is required for strong bones after all!!. The suns rays can also lead to a heathyer immune system. Ever wondered why so many people are depressed in winter?… this can be due to lack of UV intake leading... Read review

...I brought this product because it was on sale, and since then I have continued to buy it. My hair is normally made quite coarse by these colour protecting shampoos but I found this shampoo made my hair manageable and easy to style. This product left my coloured hair shiny, nourished, radiant and soft. I normally have to wash my hair often as it gets greasy quickly, but with this shampoo I have found I don't have to wash my hair as often, although the shampoo is suitable for every day use (and if you're in a rush, you can get away with not using a conditioner as it still gives great results). The shampoo comes on a red bottle which is easily distinguishable and the shampoo is thick (so you can use less) and smells good to.
