Smart Is Back? Smart Not Being The Operative Word

Advantages: Funny, nice remake of the 1960's television series.
Disadvantages: Nothing major.

...Director: Peter Segal Writers: Tom J. Astle & Matt Ember Genre: Comedy ? Adventure ? Action Country: USA Certification: 12+ Language: English/Russian MAIN CAST: Steve Carell [Maxwell Smart / Agent 86] Anne Hathaway [Agent 99] Dwayne Johnson [Agent 23] Alan Arkin [The Chief] Terence Stamp [Siegfried] SUMMARY: Maxwell Smart is an intelligence analyst for CONTROL [an American intelligence agency] whose job it is to spy on KAOS [a terrorist organisation led by Siegfried]. Although Max [for short] is good at what he does, he would much rather be a field agent than a pencil-pushing analyst, unfortunately, he has never managed to pass the required tests. When CONTROL headquarters are attacked by KAOS and the field agents are exposed, Max is promoted to field agent [Agent 86] and paired up with Agent 99 who...

What a smart board!

Advantages: interactive, great display, useful resources, great teaching tool
Disadvantages: pens and remote too easy to steal, callibration issues

...PLEASE NOTE - PUNCTUATION STILL DOES NOT SEEM TO BE DISPLAYING CORRECTLY IN MY REVIEWS. COME ON CIAO - SORT IT OUT!!! Teaching in schools has been revolutionised by the use of interactive whiteboards in classrooms. These boards have been gradually replacing the standard ?dry wipe? whiteboard as the central focus point of the classroom. There are two main brands used in schools at the moment and these are the Promethean Interactive Whiteboard and the SMART board. The Promethean uses one pen as the means of interacting with the board, where as the SMART board uses four coloured pens, an ?eraser? and you can also use your finger. I understand that this is not a product that anyone is likely to buy for their house as is main use is within schools, colleges, universities etc (having said that, businesses are now beginning to invest in...

Get Smart - Much Better Than Expected!

Advantages: Very funny in parts - Steve Carrell
Disadvantages: A tad too long

...Get Smart (2008) Pickings were a bit slim last night so my daughter was surfing Sky and came across this film, which we meant to see at the cinema but never got around to. I was a reluctant viewer as I didn't think that it looked that good to be honest... What Is It All About? This is basically a spy movie that is a comedy (based upon a tv series), focusing on Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell) and his desire to become an agent. He takes test after test, but keeps failing and has to be satisfied with being an analyst instead. Of course a terrorist plot comes to light and all of a sudden, Max looks like an attractive option. He becomes Agent 86 and is partnered with Agent 99 played by Anne Hathaway. He tries to prove himself as more than a penpusher and uses his penchant for detail as a means to find the baddies. Predictably...

Eset Smart Security 4

Advantages: Great Security system
Disadvantages: None

...This is a security software designed by Eset who have a number of years of developing anti virus, anti spam and firewall products. This edition of the software has all three components added into one package for a person to buy a one year licence for a relatively small outlay. The software is designed to keep computer viruses and to keep the computer working nornally throughout. The way I was recommended this software suite was that I read reviews online through a google search and this particular brand and suite about a year ago was high ranked and highly recommended. Also there are a number of reasons why I bought this which included my dislike of Norton products as the interface is too obstructive and slow in working. The Norton products tend to take up too much memory where as Eset Smart security works silently in the background...

Not so smart

Advantages: Good acting. Ellen Page
Disadvantages: Boring plot

...(Film only review) On our weekly trip to the cinema, we chose to see Smart People, although not really knowing much about it, thought we'd give it a go. After seeing Juno and enjoying it hugely, primarily due to the superb acting of Ellen Page, I thought this has to be just as good?surely. I had seen snippets of trailers and quite liked the look of it, the quirky use of Scrabble tiles in the poster made me smile?I mean they use Scrabble letters in the marketing, how bad could it be??? Well, that's a good question, because something was lacking, that I can't quite put my finger on. As the film starts, we are introduced to Laurence Wetherfold, played by Dennis Quaid (Vantage Point) who is a university lecturer of literature, recent widower and father of two teenagers, each at different stages of education. As you might...

...know such things, the product Contains Barley, Gluten, Malt Flour, Wheat, Wheat Flour & Wheat Protein. It may also contain Nuts & Seeds and is suitable for vegetarians. Again with nutritional values, I will not pad out the review with a break down of these, suffice to say that half a garlic baguette will provide 306 calories and 13.3g fat, so this product is a no no for those people who wish to limit their fat intake or are following a calorie controlled diet! Very Smart biscuits indeed!

Advantages: Very good quality and a low price product
Disadvantages: None in my opinion!

...' of these digestives, the reason for this is that biscuit dunking is strictly forbidden in my house, it's a practice that I simply cannot stand! If anyone wants to dunk, then fine, do so, but not near me! Joking aside, I am sure that the dunkers among readers will know which types of biscuit suit the habit best!!! The biscuits should be stored in a cool, dry place and after opening should be transferred into an airtight container. Availability and Cost Available from Asda supermarkets or online from www.asda.com A pack of Asda Smart Price Sweet meal Digestives weighs in at 400g and currently costs 31p. Asda offer a money back guarantee known as 'Try me, Love me', on all their own branded products. The company guarantee to refund your purchase price of any Asda product you are not 100% happy with. Smart Price - Smart Move!!!

Advantages: Value for money and Easy To use
Disadvantages: Basic and No Grill

...One day, around Five months ago, in a land far far away where only I lived in my little fantasy world believing I was some amazing cook, I decided my Sister In Law could make more use of my microwave than I, so off I sent her on her way with my Microwave in tow. THUD!!! I came crashing down to earth about 3 meal times later. We had meals we couldn't eat because they were microwaveable, I found myself having to cook more often as my son couldn't bang his soup and snacks in the microwave, the list is endless and I realised the error of my ways fairly quickly. So imagine my delight when two weeks later whilst doing the weekly shop I seen the familiar glow of the Green and White Smart Price calling me over. The Smart Price Manual Microwave with a price tag of £29.96. I didn't even think about it, just picked it up, paid for it and away I...

Not so Smart veg from Asda....

Advantages: Low calorie......
Disadvantages: Smashed up veg comprising mainly of cauliflower stalk!

...Review of Asda Frozen Mixed Vegetables The Product Asda in line with many major supermarkets have introduced their own basic range of goods, known as Smart Price. Smart Price products are designed to appeal to the budget concious shopper. The mixed veg is presented in a simple white plastic bag which depicts a bowl of mixed vegetables on the front, ingredients and nutritional values on the back. The bag contains a respectable 907g and costs in the region of 70p. Smart Price Frozen Mixed Vegetables are a frozen mixture of peas, carrot, cauliflower and broccoli, a pleasing colourful mixture of vegetables by anyone's standards. Not so with Asda's Smart Price mixed vegetables, what you actually get is a bag of smashed up bits of broccoli, a large percentage of pieces of cauliflower stalk, roughly cubed carrot and some pale looking...
