Reviews of v amp 2
V-Amp2 - A rack of amps and effects at a low cost
Review of Behringer V-Amp by
rowemg
Advantages: A multitude of sounds easily accessed at a low price
Disadvantages: No power off switch, some bits hard to get at
...I am actually reviewing the V-Amp 2 as that is what I have and is the newer version.
The vamp is a similar unit to the POD in tat it is an amp modelling unit with multiple effects but costs about half as much. I have tried both and cannot see any real difference in quality.
There are a number of Amps accessable and also speaker emulations. Also the usual effects (Echo, Phaser, Compressor etc). You can only use one effect at a time and that is a little limiting however with the amps you get a very good variety.
From clean through blues amps to out and out hard rock you can get the sound you want. It is easy to access the presets but you will soon find yourself modifying them and saving your own. This is fairly easy to do but you will need to read the manual (This can be confusing but if you take one thing at a time you will get...

Marshall Micro Amp MS-2-------very cool!
Review of Marshall MS 2 by
jon_turner
Advantages: Small, portable, practical
Disadvantages: Slight loss of sound quality at high volumes, eats up batteries
...Features: 2 watt speaker, Input socket, headphone socket, tone control, volume control, on/off/overdrive control, on/off indicator light, belt clip and a mains adapter socket.
This small amp is perfect for you if you like playing guitar well into the night since it has a headphone socket and it is also quite a quiet amp but it can also be a beast when you pump up the volume or, if you travel around a lot and you don’t want to lug around a bigger amp. It also makes a good first amp since it is relitvly cheap but for what you pay it is extremely good value for money.
The Marshall MS-2 is an amazingly practical device, it is 100% portable since it is powered by a 9V battery but if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on expensive batteries then it can also be powered by a 9V DC cable (which can be purchased for around £15...

Complete Virtual Amplification
Review of Behringer V-Amp by
Nikeomax
Advantages: Sounds Great, Includes all the classic amp tones, a number of effects
Disadvantages: Short delay while changing between effects
...but nevertheless the sounds they are able produce are very similar. And don’t forget you get a carrying case and a footswitch with the V-Amp.
There are optional extras that can be purchased for the V-Amp such as a MIDI foot controller which includes two fully programmable expression pedals so you can use that wah-wah a little better.
Behringer have recently released the V-Amp 2 which has been improved quite a lot since the V-Amp. It has twice as many amp settings and host of other updated features. The V-Amp 2 has had some great reviews too but is still very similar to the V-Amp. If you get the V-Amp or already have, you can always upgrade to the V-Amp 2 by purchasing a new Eprom chip. You can find information on these chips and where to get them from at Behringer.com. I have seen them on ebay.co.uk as well though for around £15. So...

1996 (P) 2.5 V6 CDX Auto Saloon
Review of Vectra 2.5V6 CDX by
md-uk
Advantages: power, comfy cruiser, space
Disadvantages: fuel consumption, electrical problems
...you sliding about on the leather.
There are useful cup holder in the dash, and centre arm rest. which has a storage area inside. The door bins are a bit shallow though. If like me you have a CD changer this was cleverly positioned in the glovebox. Leaving room for an envelope only. not good postioning by Vauxhall. Why isn't it in the boot???
Now for the oily bits! This car has a 2.5 Litre 24 valve V6 engine.
This is the smallest V6 offering by Vauxhall. Different years and models had 2.6 and 3.0 Litre V6's.
This is as silky smooth as engines get. It purrs along but given a large dose of right foot it winds up and makes a glorious growl. I have to admit that I've driven through tunnels with the windows down just to hear it!
Now the Vectra is a fairly big car so the V6 pulls it along nicely, It won't defeat Boy racers off...

Kylie - The Clio 1.2 16v Dynamique
Review of Renault Clio Dynamique 1.2 16v 3dr by
almarsden
Advantages: Fun, cheap to run and insure, stylish and safe.
Disadvantages: Leaky sunroofs.
...This review is based on a 2004 Renault Clio 1.2 16v Dynamique.
After having an accident in my previous Clio (a 1.6 16v Dynamique) I set out looking for a new car, eventually I found myself (after much looking) the following car…
A 2004 Renault Clio 1.2 16v Dynamique in flame red, the colour I really wanted, my previous car had digital climate control and an electric sunroof so I purposefully found a car that also had these features.
Being the 2004 model it had the face lifted front end (MK2 PH3)
The car I found had the following specification:
Performance:
Engine - 1.2 16v 4cyl MPI (multipoint injection)
Power - 75bhp
Torque - 105Nm
0-60 - 12.6secs
Top Speed - 106mph
Gearbox - 5 speed manual
Interior:
Sports seats
Digital Climate Control
Electric Sunroof with sunblind
Electric windows (one touch...

The all new 802.11n BT Home hub v2.0
Review of BT Home Hub v2.0 by
andrewjwatt
Advantages: Free to new customers, Good features, 802.11n
Disadvantages: costly if you are an existing customer
...The BT Home Hub v2.0 was released in the June 2008. It offers many new features over the previous models (v1.0, v1.5).
BT claim that this device is the most powerful router to be provided by an ISP ie. to compete with orange live box etc.. and it is as it offers wireless 802.11n wireless connectivity. Which offers up to 150% better range than legacy 802.11a/b/g connections. (802.? is a wireless standard so the best released is the .n so this router has the best wireless standard there is) If you have a new 802.11n wireless network interface card.
The BT Home hub v2.0 has a concave face which looks very nice and its black finish is attractive but it seems to be a fingerprint catcher!
The LED's on the device are blue and show Power, Broadband Sync, Wireless, VOIP Phone and Upgrade as the device updates its firmware during...

BT Home-Hub v2.0
Review of BT Home Hub v2.0 by
chloeisa
Advantages: Looks good, comes with a good deal from BT [broadband option 3].
Disadvantages: Poor wireless signal, not compatible with printers.
...The BT Home-Hub v2.0 may look chic and stylish in comparison to previous models, but personally I have not noticed any beneficial differences between the v2.0 and the v1.0. Despite numerous claims that the wireless signal is 'twice as strong as other wireless providers', I have no reason whatsoever to endorse this. In my medium sized flat, I only receive good, stable signal in the rooms adjacent to the Hub, and in other rooms the signal repeatedly disappears completely.
One of the Hub's main selling points is the many various connections which it boasts, including 4 ethernet connections and a USB socket. All previous versions of the home-hub have had the capability to connect a printer to the hub and therefore print documents wirelessly from anywhere in your home or garden. Unfortunately this is not possible with the v2.0.
The hub...

Review of V-Rally 2 Expert Edition (PC) by
anglebum

A great aspect of the game is the track editor. This is simple and takes minutes to complete. You can perform bends, elevations, weather and much more...

DVPNS930V The best eighty quid I never spent!
Review of Sony DVPNS930V by
dobieg
Advantages: Simply superb results, hard to beat at the price
Disadvantages: Some of your CDs might not sound as good as you thought they were
...for sound and one for video, if a single unit could accommodate both with reasonable ease.
As I felt the sound on the Marantz was pretty good, I set myself a budget of a couple of hundred quid (that's a ton for each of the two functions it will have)
A quick check on the Sony UK page revealed that the DVPNS930V just about fitted the bill, if a little over budget, at a suggested £300.
That gets you (according to the blurb) a slimline silver, or more importantly black player, which offers a region 2, Pal Progressive Scan, QS components (whatever they are), sound quality and performance, Aluminium front panel 108/12 bit V.DAC Multi-channel SACD and NTSC Progressive scan (come to think of it, there can't be that many region 2 NTSC DVDs about, but so what, all my DVDs are region 2 PAL)
That in itself didn't really give very much away.
I...
