V Fit Mini Stepper
Review of V-Fit Mini Stepper by
sunshine_supergirl
Advantages: Very easy to use, move around and store.
Disadvantages: I'm sure there are better steppers but for a higher price.
...Before I start describing the wonders and blunders of the v fit mini stepper I'd like to explain why I opted for this style of home gym equipment.
I read a bit on the internet about steppers and how people lose 2-3 inches just using the stepper every day, although this would be a nice bonus I wasn't focusing on losing weight so much as getting fitter and healthier. I live in a large block of flats in London, on the 7th floor with other people living below, above, each side and across the hall. Purely because of this I gave up on my collection of fitness DVDs as I didn't want to be banging about jumping and running every day to the tune of "Lift 2,3,4 and Down 2,3,4, Slide 2,3,4 and Back 2,3,4, and Starjumps...". So basically I believed the quietest exercise equipment I could buy would be a mini stepper.
So off to Argos to get...

The George V - fit for a king?
Review of Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris by
DebzC
Advantages: Fabulous location, beautiful rooms, great food
Disadvantages: none
...My stay at the George V Paris was just the lift I needed after a serious illness. From the minute my husband and I checked in, we were made to feel as if we were the only guests there. Of course we weren't ! We arrived just after the Cannes film festival and the place was crawling with film industry types, catching a few days R&R before jetting back to the states.
The room was beautiful, a huge bed - very comfortable and the door to the bathroom concealed as a wardrobe door. The bathroom itself - marble and mosaic with a tub for 2 and a wonderfully powerful shower. We took breakfast in the room every morning - the usual continental style affair, but tasting wonderful and presented well.
The concierge was extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble, and the hospitality we felt was lovely.
Located just off the Champs Elysee...

The Motorola V550 - (V525's Big Brother !)
Review of Motorola V550 by
SRowlands
Advantages: Great phone - Stylish, Robust and a great Battery Life !
Disadvantages: Not a vast improvement on the V525.
...said, I upgraded from the V525 to the V550, which I've now had for about one month.
Initially I felt somewhat disappointed with the upgrade, as it is essentially the same phone and software as the V525, and I wanted some new "toys" to play with. The addition of the video camera compensated somewhat.
However, then it suddenly dawned upon me that I was very pleased with my old phone - I like the phone, and most of the features - and if something works and you're happy with it, why change it ?
The changes to the Motorola V550 are mostly cosmetic and software changes, so there is not a huge difference. In effect, the V550 is the V525's big brother.
It's stylish, works well, robust and fits well in the pocket - so yes, it is an excellent option.
If I were pushed to find faults on the phone, it would be hard to find any. For some people...

Time to get fit!
Review of Fitness First, London by
MitchellandAimeesMum
Advantages: 5 min walk from office, small yet spacious
Disadvantages: no swimming pool, can get busy between 12.45 and 2pm
...be a bit noisy. Walking thorugh the turnstiles takes you to the left to the women's changing rooms and to the right of the cardio equipment to the mens.
The women's changing rooms are equipped with some 300 lockers which are activated with your membership card. It also boasts hairdryers, Sauna (in the shower area) and 6 shower cubicles.
**WORK OUT AREAS**
Cardio - This boasts around 15 cross trainers as does the treadmills and these are the most busy pieces of equipment. There are also two stairmasters and 6 cycles and two rowing machines all of which face 9 t.v. screens. To listen to the sound just plug in your headset (any one will work) and select the channel and you then listen to the one you want to watch.
Weights - this area of my Fitness First is mostly men.
Studios - One studio is used for "Spinning" classes used...

V-Drop VRoooooom !!!
Review of Mattel Hot Wheels V-Drop by
The-ex-Raven
Advantages: Track has a long lasting entertainment value !
Disadvantages: Top bit broke.
...( well if you want something doing right - do it yourself !) So it was off to Toys 'r' Us to buy one and some other stuff for the birthday boy . As I remember this V-Drop set was just under £15 but I think it was on offer at the time...you also get 5 cars included with the track set which is good !
Well once all prezzies unwrapped the V-Drop was the winner, the "put-it-together-now-put-it-together-now-put-it-together-now" chant confirmed it. It was pretty easy to get the thing together though the 'lift' bit was a bit fiddly. It's always harder when you've got a little person chanting " is-it-nearly-done-yet?-is-it-nearly-done-yet? " down your ear hole - the only thing worse is when the boy tries to help " does this bit fit here...? " *stress*
FUN
BUT all in all it was the easiest thing I had to put together that day and boy I...

V for Very Good
Review of V For Vendetta (Deluxe Edition) by
afy9mab
Advantages: Greta performances, beautifully shot
Disadvantages: The wordy dialogue won't be everyone's cup of tea
...in mind the film was in production long before they occurred. The pyrotechnic displays are impressive uses of miniatures and computer-generated effects that certainly go with a bang. Blowing up the Old Bailey to Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture adds a sense of fun that fits the film's comic book origins. You could argue that the film glorifies violence in its slick fight scenes. V's throwing knives and swordplay do have a certain allure because they are so competently handled and beautifully shot. The knives have firework sound effects that make them seem supernatural and add fizz to the fights. In the pivotal combat the director uses the Wachowskis' bullet time to dazzling effect as V's knives describe arcs in the air as they rush towards their targets. The swordsmanship is breathtaking, showing an alarming fluidity that makes man and weapon appear...

Dell Axim X50v PDA of Power
Review of Dell Axim X50v by
china_wolf
Advantages: Screen, graphics, wireless range
Disadvantages: Battery life, viewing angles
...with ease.
Battery: 1100 mA Lithium Ion battery. This is the standard battery that comes with the x50v and fits inside the PDA with no problems. A larger, higher capacity battery is available at 2200 mA, but it bulks up the back of the x50v by some measure. Put it this way, it won't fit in your top shirt pocket anymore.
Wireless: Bluetooth, IEEE 802.11b, Infrared. How many wireless options can a PDA have? You can access Bluetooth, or go Wireless LAN, or if you're feeling retro then you can do an infrared connection.
Expansion slots: Secure Digital/Multi Media Card slot, Compact Flash Type II slot. Usually PDAs come with only one expansion slot, but this PDA comes with 2 slots for greater future expansion.
Other: Built-in microphone and speaker.
The PDA came with a charger, cradle, slip case, manual and software CD. The software CD...

No, I don't know what CR-V stands for either.
Review of Honda CR-V by
SueMagee
Advantages: Spacious, economical to run with good handling. A fun ride.
Disadvantages: See text of opinion.
...interesting. We tried harnessing them, but getting two dogs who don’t want to be harnessed into the car in a public place isn’t easy. I then read about someone who’d been killed whilst driving a car when the person behind her was catapulted into her neck when she braked suddenly. As the car was due for a change we decided to look at either an estate car, or a sports utility vehicle, as I believe they’re called, so that we could fit a dog grid.
We looked at the RAV4 first, but it didn’t handle well, and the dogs would have had to go on a diet to get in the back comfortably. The CR-V wouldn’t necessarily have been the next choice, but we spotted this one, aged six months, with automatic transmission which I need, and at a considerable discount. We drove it and liked it, and the dogs gave their consent, so...

Motorola V300
Review of Motorola V300 by
Odette29UK
Advantages: Easy to use, nice camera with sharp pictures
Disadvantages: No bluetooth or Video recording
...Now has a lookalike which is great as I upgraded to the E550 a few months ago and everything that fitted my V300 now fits the E550. E550 Much is a much better model.
The V300 Flip phone was my first mobile that had Real Ringtones and a Real Colour screen.
I spent hours on this phone playing some gr8 Java games,.... Monopoly, Weakest Link, and even a Gambling Machine all of these I downloaded using Gprs
It also gave me specialised Tones to go with certian people that would call, for instance I would have the "Crazy Frog" tone for my home phone and my husbands no. Then I had another ringtone for my son, which did always remind me of his energy.
The Polyphonic ring tones were just as good and sounded brilliant.
I even added photos to the phone nos by using the camera thats built in, the camera had a small but instant zoom...
