V.SMILE you made Jordon SMILE
Review of VTech V-Smile by
Jordon
Advantages: Learning, Educational and lots of fun
Disadvantages: None with the system
...I purchased the V.SMILE for my son Jordon for Christmas which I paid £54.99 which included Winnie the Pooh’s Honey hunt game. As some of you know Jordon is disabled with special needs and has developmental delays 'very behind in learning' who is also deaf so can not hear the music and sounds.
He seemed to enjoy playing with this, and it has made him smile, it will take him longer to finish games and levels but if this system does what it says it does then I’m sure Jordon will have as good a chance as any other child to learn through play.
**PRODUCT**
The V.SMILE TV learning system is made by vtech. It’s aimed at children aged between 3 and 7 years old.
The V.SMILE is Orange and Purple in colour, the unit it’s self is Orange, with a storage compartment for your learning games in which the lift up flap is Purple but also see...

v-tech v-smile
Review of VTech V-Smile by
jodieamarshall
Advantages: Educational but fun
Disadvantages: battery powered unless you can find the right power pack
...I brought this product for my son when he was 2 has you may guess it sat in a cupboard till he was 3. When I brought it I did not realise it was battery powered and I found it drained the battery very quickly it was turning into a very expensive toy, but then I found out you could buy the adapter but I could not find one anywhere so what I did was buy a multi adapter charger from Argos which was cheaper than the original charger for the v- smile the game that came with the computer was pooh bear, this game was very good it was easy to control and it teaches the child the alphabet, colours, counting, vocabulary, phonics, shapes and numbers so it covers a wide range. The game was very colourful but I found my son would lose interest about 10 minuets into the game. The games I have brought for the v-smile is Dora's fixit adventure, the lion...

V.Smile V. Good?
Review of VTech V.Smile Baby Infant Development System by
PheobieKat
Advantages: My little one loves the Keyboard
Disadvantages: The visual on the TV Screen is not enough to grab little One's attention.
...V.Smile Baby Infant Development System looks very interesting. Its very brightly coloured and promises a lot of fun and education for your child.
With an age range of 9 months upwards when my daughter received this for Christmas 12 months we thought it would be a great tool. She is quite a smart little girl and we are constantly looking for new ways to stimulate her. Unfortunatley it wasn't to be.
We first set this up for her at 13 months old and she certainly likes the keyboard. We have it in play alone mode when she shows an interest and she likes to push the buttons and listen to the voice and sounds it generates. It doesn't hold her interest for very long though and like most kids she soon gets bored and wanders off.
I found this a bit of a bugger to get set up to be honest. But this could be because we don't have a snazzy...

Hail the V smile
Review of VTech V-Smile by
louisecb
Advantages: bright colours, eductaional, fun learning for all ages
Disadvantages: price, use of batterys etc
...to keep changing if your child uses the games a lot. However you can buy a AC adapter to run off the mains, at an extra price, these can be bought from V tech or a normal adapter from Maplins or PC world does the same job.
This consol is very adaptable as there are a number of games from each age range. My son loves the Toy story games & backyardigans. The games range up to 9 year old which are a lot more eductaional for extra learning.
There are also extra attachments you can buy such as extra controls for 2 player games, a art board and also a keyboard for when you little one becomes more advanced.
So far even though the price is around £40 - £50 for the consol and games are roughly £10 - £15 it is value for money and also a way to keep educate without them knowing!!...

BABY TECH
Review of VTech V.Smile Baby Infant Development System by
yabbis21
Advantages: hours of learning fun with bright colours and great sounds
Disadvantages: have to keep changing the batteries
...I got the v-smile baby for my eight month old daughter as she kept on trying to play on the xbox which is too difficult for her to use although she has a good go so i thought it was about time that i got her a console that was more suitable for her own age group and that is why i bought her this v-smile computer console.
WHAT IS A V-SMILE BABY?

This will keep any child V-Smiling!!!
Review of VTech Pocket VSmile by
budge
Advantages: Educational but fun
Disadvantages: Addictive!!!!!
...Wow, thats all my daughter and I could say after trying this out for the first time. This is for children aged 5-9. But this is purely because of the hand held unit as some of the V-Tech games are for 3-5 and 4-6. There are equally enough games for girls as boys. There are Disney Princess ones and then there is Scooby - Doo, Sponge Bob and Bob the Builder. So the variety is great and new ones keep on coming
The V-Smile Pocket requires 4 AA batteries which are included with the system, this a bonus as some batteries do not come cheap. It can also run on a 9V AC/DC mains adapter (which saves on money continually buying batteries)
I am left handed and my daughter is right so teaching her a lot of things can be difficult, when I found out that the V-Smile Pocket can change from Left to Right handed I was extreemely interested...

MY VERY FIRST GAMES MACHINE
Review of VTech V-Smile by
LisaMcF
Advantages: Great games console for younger children
Disadvantages: Have to buy adapter seperately
...I have a 4 year old son who is always watching his daddy play his play station and is always wanting a go but in my eyes I feel that it is too much for him to handle, when I saw the V-Smile by V-Tech being advertised I thought hey this is just what I need for my baby. So off I went to Argos and purchased one for his birthday it cost me £59.99 and along with it came one game and that was Winnie the Pooh's Honey Hung game.
I have purchased a few V-Tech products over the years it is a name that I personally trust where my children are concerned.
When we purchased our V Smile we got the main unit, one joystick, (you can purchase additional joysticks for £12.99) a scart connector and the instructions and our free game. I am not sure if its like other consoles where you can get different packages.
The V-Smile is great for younger...
