V.SMILE you made Jordon SMILE
Review of VTech V-Smile by  Jordon

Advantages: Learning, Educational and lots of fun
Disadvantages: None with the system

...I purchased the V.SMILE for my son Jordon for Christmas which I paid £54.99 which included Winnie the Pooh’s Honey hunt game. As some of you know Jordon is disabled with special needs and has developmental delays 'very behind in learning' who is also deaf so can not hear the music and sounds. He seemed to enjoy playing with this, and it has made him smile, it will take him longer to finish games and levels but if this system does what it says it does then I’m sure Jordon will have as good a chance as any other child to learn through play. **PRODUCT** The V.SMILE TV learning system is made by vtech. It’s aimed at children aged between 3 and 7 years old. The V.SMILE is Orange and Purple in colour, the unit it’s self is Orange, with a storage compartment for your learning games in which the lift up flap is Purple but also see... Read review

This will keep any child V-Smiling!!!
Review of VTech Pocket VSmile by  budge

Advantages: Educational but fun
Disadvantages: Addictive!!!!!

...Wow, thats all my daughter and I could say after trying this out for the first time. This is for children aged 5-9. But this is purely because of the hand held unit as some of the V-Tech games are for 3-5 and 4-6. There are equally enough games for girls as boys. There are Disney Princess ones and then there is Scooby - Doo, Sponge Bob and Bob the Builder. So the variety is great and new ones keep on coming The V-Smile Pocket requires 4 AA batteries which are included with the system, this a bonus as some batteries do not come cheap. It can also run on a 9V AC/DC mains adapter (which saves on money continually buying batteries) I am left handed and my daughter is right so teaching her a lot of things can be difficult, when I found out that the V-Smile Pocket can change from Left to Right handed I was extreemely interested... v-tech v-smile
Review of VTech V-Smile by  jodieamarshall

Advantages: Educational but fun
Disadvantages: battery powered unless you can find the right power pack

...I brought this product for my son when he was 2 has you may guess it sat in a cupboard till he was 3. When I brought it I did not realise it was battery powered and I found it drained the battery very quickly it was turning into a very expensive toy, but then I found out you could buy the adapter but I could not find one anywhere so what I did was buy a multi adapter charger from Argos which was cheaper than the original charger for the v- smile the game that came with the computer was pooh bear, this game was very good it was easy to control and it teaches the child the alphabet, colours, counting, vocabulary, phonics, shapes and numbers so it covers a wide range. The game was very colourful but I found my son would lose interest about 10 minuets into the game. The games I have brought for the v-smile is Dora's fixit adventure, the lion... Read review

V.Smile V. Good?
Review of VTech V.Smile Baby Infant Development System by  PheobieKat

Advantages: My little one loves the Keyboard
Disadvantages: The visual on the TV Screen is not enough to grab little One's attention.

...V.Smile Baby Infant Development System looks very interesting. Its very brightly coloured and promises a lot of fun and education for your child. With an age range of 9 months upwards when my daughter received this for Christmas 12 months we thought it would be a great tool. She is quite a smart little girl and we are constantly looking for new ways to stimulate her. Unfortunatley it wasn't to be. We first set this up for her at 13 months old and she certainly likes the keyboard. We have it in play alone mode when she shows an interest and she likes to push the buttons and listen to the voice and sounds it generates. It doesn't hold her interest for very long though and like most kids she soon gets bored and wanders off. I found this a bit of a bugger to get set up to be honest. But this could be because we don't have a snazzy... Read review

Hail the V smile
Review of VTech V-Smile by  louisecb

Advantages: bright colours, eductaional, fun learning for all ages
Disadvantages: price, use of batterys etc

...to keep changing if your child uses the games a lot. However you can buy a AC adapter to run off the mains, at an extra price, these can be bought from V tech or a normal adapter from Maplins or PC world does the same job. This consol is very adaptable as there are a number of games from each age range. My son loves the Toy story games & backyardigans. The games range up to 9 year old which are a lot more eductaional for extra learning. There are also extra attachments you can buy such as extra controls for 2 player games, a art board and also a keyboard for when you little one becomes more advanced. So far even though the price is around £40 - £50 for the consol and games are roughly £10 - £15 it is value for money and also a way to keep educate without them knowing!!... Read review

Might make baby Smile
Review of VTech V.Smile Baby Infant Development System by  damianos

Advantages: Bright, robust, simple to setup, can be used without TV, grows with child
Disadvantages: Runs off batteries only, bundled software uninspiring, too easy for child to disrupt

...The Vtech V.Smile Baby Infant Development System is an educational games console for children between 9 and 36 months. Vtech claim that V.Smile Baby is a "unique and pioneering infant development system specifically designed to enhance and encourage babies as young 9 months to learn about, and embrace, the world around them." They say: "The V.Smile Baby Infant Development System provides a fun and enriching way for parents to connect with their baby through an interactive approach to learning...Baby will love to learn, discover and have fun with a host of activities...designed to give you and your baby the opportunity to learn, explore and play together!" using a "sensory rich learning experience" that will "let your child grow and develop." V3RY good flipping phone!
Review of Motorola V3 by  leofluffy69

Advantages: stylish, small, fits in every handbag
Disadvantages: not as robust as other mobiles

...***MOTOROLA*** Motorola was founded in 1928 by Paul Galvin. The first product was a 'battery eliminator' so that people could operate radios from household power rather than batteries. The name Motorola suggests 'sound' in 'motion'. The company has continued to grow and develop keeping up with new trends and inventions. Motorola are always changing and updating their products. I have had three Motorola phones and one negative experience. The V3 however is an amazing little phone and I will tell you a little about it below. ***APPEARANCE*** The first thing I noticed about this phone was how thin it is. I can't stand bulky phones that are impossible to fit in a small pocket. This phone is perfect for me as can pop in my jacket pocket or in my jeans. It does not feel uncomfortable and does not stick into me. Working in a school I... Read review

8700v: a good looking, functional, pocket office
Review of BlackBerry 8700V by  Nobby1974

Advantages: Lots of features, easy to use and practical
Disadvantages: Belt holster is just wrong!

...I'm into gadgets but was very reluctant to take the free Blackberry being offered to me by my employer. Of all my friends I resisted getting a mobile phone until six years ago (welcome to the noughties Nobby they all said), and I had a very similar feeling about this. I didn't want to be chained to the office any more than I already was! Colleagues however reported good things, so after a chat with one of our IT bods I opted for the 8700v. And I'm free! The features and functions are better than good. It can't compete with a camera phone, or a music phone, or a game phone, but it isn't trying to. What it aims to be (a business phone) it does with aplomb. I'm a slave to my microsoft contacts list, and rely heavily on my task list and calendar. The 8700v syncs with my PC so I've always got them to hand, and my secretary can... Read review

The Viewsonic V35
Review of ViewSonic Pocket PC V35 by  Williham

Advantages: Cheap, powerful, can be upgraded to windows mobile 2003
Disadvantages: Low memory, not a large amount of accessories available

...I purchased my Viewsonic V35 pda because i was looking for a fairly powerful pda to run games, internet applications and act as a media player, also i didnt have a large budget so the v35 was perfect. In the box was the pda, the manual, a cradle to connect to your pc, and a usb cable to connect to your pc, also a small pouch to protect the pda from damage. When i saw there was no ac adapter i was fairly worried, but soon realised that the pda would charge from the usb cable, but not the cradle which i found odd. My first few months of use with the V35 were vey satisfactory, applications installed easily and ran very well, although because of the 32mb of memory which cannot be upgraded, i had to use an sd card to store my applications, which further ate away ate my budget. After about 2 months of use of th v35 a small grey area... Read review
