...Turboforce it is. Eventually got round to buyinh a new vacuum cleaner after many months of my old cleaner smelling like it was going to burst into flames. The Vax v-060c is not too heavy coming in at 6.3kg and the 2000 watts really does make a difference (compared to my previous 1100 watts). As i have not purchased a vacuum cleaner before, i was suprised that you had to assemble various bits and pieces yourself. Im not a manual reader, and usually get by using common sense. However after placing the various pieces in whar looked like the obvious pieces, it fell apart! So i'd advise you look carefully at the manual. Manuals are never the easiest things to read. After the first three pictures, i began to get lost. As far as i know there is one screw which is a spare, although it didn't say the cleaner came with a spare screw, but...

Vax - the Virtues and Vexations

Advantages: Great cleaning performance and good value

I associated the name with the original combined washer/cleaner which was the brainchild of one Alan Brazier whose background in industrial cleaning equipment led him to the conclusion that there was a need for a smaller model for domestic use. The first Vax was launched in 1979 and sold door to door but from 1982 they were made available in retail units. The company, now based in Droitwich, Cheshire now manufactures a range of upright, cylinder, steam and hard floor cleaners. All it needs is some wings and a cockpit

...First let me tell you that I do not like hoovering (or hovering for that matter, thanks a lot spellchecker). It is probably my least favourite of the household chores. So if something makes it easier/faster/miraculously does it for me, I am happy.
