...mainly HD you will never have a problem. This is where the TV shows its strengths. The HD performance is absolutely staggering. When I first loaded up Planet Earth on HD my jaw dropped. The detail was staggering. Even when compared to other models such as the W3000, the quality of HD is very hard to tell apart (Mainly because the W3000 is only really better at SD...but hundreds of pounds more expensive). The next great thing about the V3000 is the ease of use. In 30-40 minutes and guide or two I was good to go, with that jaw dropping HD. Some TVs can take hours to set up, so this is a breath of fresh air. Even the remote control is very simple. It is a little elongated for my massive hands but apart from that I love it. ...Life hasn't been same after I have a new member in my household. To be precise it is none other than Sony KDL-46V3000 . I had a 32inch Flat TV from LG earlier and I thought it was a great invention . But after buying and experiencing Sony's latest product I feel its not an invention , its a Miracle !!! I have always had a philosophy "The BIGGER , The BETTER " And for my large Living Room I always wanted a Big Screen which would even give me a feel of Home Theatre. Advantages: The picture quality is excellent

...The picture quality is absolutely superb, yet again sony has made an outstaning product. I have it connected to my ps3 and it does 1080p resolution which is crystal clear, although the sound quality could be better. But i solved this problem by simply connecting it to a surroundsound system and now its absolutely fine. If you're considering getting one then i advise you not to put it on a wall bracket because it is quite hard to connect other devices to the t.v as you cant see whats behind it.I would also advise you to buy a surround sound sstem, i personally know that bose make really high quality ones, although they are expensive they are absolutely worth it. ...This TV wasn't my first choice when buying a TV. In fact, I actually bought a Sony KDL40V3000 but after a few days it got a fault where a 4" line of white pixels appeared on the right hand side of the screen. I took the TV back to Currys where I purchased it and as they had no others in stock I was given the option of selecting another TV. I opted for the Samsung LE40A556 and I'm so glad I did. This TV is such an improvement on the Sony. Starting with the look, it comes in the Black Gloss look which to be honest is stunning. Another thing I noticed was the weight of the Samsung. It's so much lighter than the Sony. The picture quality is definitely a step up from the Sony and it's still a 1080p screen. Other benefits include: 3 HDMI Sockets, more audio & display options.
