...The motorola V600. General. It is a good size, and the flip open / close features ensure no wasted money on phone calls made by mistake. This also means that your friends and family don't get annoyed! The most irratating thing is teh buttons on the side, these when pressed change the ringtone options, and often result in a annoying bleap. This happens frequently and without warning whenever the phone is placed in a pocket containing anything else. Text mesage. The predictive text is very useful, and prevents the annoying and I feel irratating current trend in text messages. The ablity to send the same message to a whole group of people is fantatsic and as saved me doing multiple messages. Blue tooth. ...FREE BLUETOOTH: There are some very nice features of the V600, but most importantly, is the fact that at the current moment, a FREE BLUETOOTH HEADSET is included in the V600 package. This headset alone is worth roughly £80 and so makes this great value for money. CAMERA: The ability to create a "picture" phonebook where pictures of your contacts are displayed next to their names and details is very nice and allows for some hilarious moments in itself. Although the camera is perfectly adequate for MMS (Multi Media Messaging), the resolution is a maximum of 640 X 480, so it's not going to replace your digital camera. It also has 4X Zoom capability to get the right fit in the pictures. ...shown flaws in the V600 reliability. The screen often turns white and thephone hangs, requiring the battery to be removed to reset the phone. The phone is also showing problems with charging, I recently had to fork out £15 on a new charger, which still has problems. The phone is also slightly out of date already. It does not record video clips andhas no infra red, which is a pity as the bluetooth is very temperamental on this phone, and only works when it wants to. In conclusion, the V600 is a good phone, but as phones go, it is rapidly going out of fashion, as with PC's it is impossible to keep up with technology. Still thats how manufacturers make their money. Verdict : Good phone, but outdated already Recomment : Stick to pay as you go, contract doesn't start with CON for nothing you know. ...I used to have a Nokia 3310 that I felt was getting a little outdated so I turned my attention to the new phones on the market. I was adamant I wanted a camera flip-phone so I went for the v600. I got it sim free for £320 at A1 Communications (a local shop) as it hadn't come out on Pay As You Go at that time and I refuse to go on contract. It has since come down to £200 at that same shop (typical) At first I was rather bewildered as it seemed really complicated to use but of course, you soon get the hang of it. It's just that Nokias do seem to make things more explicit. Within a couple of days it developed a hairline crack, this was through no fault of my own. .... With hindsight, if id been given a month to use this phone I would more than likely have stuck with my old phone or tried out others. If your looking for a phone with a great display and screen, this is your phone. If you want a good all round phone.......id avoid it. for anything other than making calls........believe it or not, with all the hype this phone got for its camera, my old phone with a 800k pixel camera, out strips the V600i's 1.3 million pixel camera, with superior low light, and close up detail photography. Overall, Disappointing...........Don't buy a phone because the advert is clever…….and has a bear in it... Read review

...Not having seen or used a Sony Ericsson phone for many years I was not quite sure what to expect with this one. My last Sony Ericsson was well old and had very few features, not even a colour screen! First impressions of the v600i were good, I took it out of the box, it looked the part, shiny, modern and sleek. It has all the usual features and the menus are nicely presented. I was concerned that the camera is only 1.3 mega pixel but the picture quality is actually good. The annoying thing is the slidey lens cover on the back of the phone. I found that if I was not careful I would catch the cover when carrying the phone or putting it in my pocket or bag and this makes the camers come on and wastes the battery. The battery, however, does have quite a good life on it for a 3g phone. The key pad buttons can be small and fiddly... Read review

...I bought this phone refurbished about ...maybe 2 years ago, and it is still going strong, although starting to look slightly dated compared to new phones. It is starting to look quite chunky. It is a great looking phone, black and silver, with a simple layout making it easy to text and get around the menu, using the joystick. I don't personally like the "quick keys" at the side of the phone as if you catch one you end up loading the internet, etc, which can be quite annoying. It is easily customizable with animated themes and ringtones, and can be used as an MP3 player, although the memory is small and you can't expand it unfortunately. Battery life is pretty good, I can use it for a few days, (and I text a lot!) before it dies. Durability is very impressive, as I have managed to drop it 100's of times, and even dropped it down... In contrast we have the SE T610 which hisses at you when you are talking. If I needed a snake I’d get the T610. Its battery life is above average but could be better. For my use I require to recharge it every 3 to 4 days. Naturally during periods of higher usage the battery will require more recharging. There is also a speaker phone that is very clear and loud. --- Price and Availability: 9/10 --- When the Motorola V600 first debuted in Australia its price was AU$809 (about £330) Fast forward 8 months and: On eBay (UK) I found the phone ranging between £100 and £120. ...The Sony Ericsson v600i is a smart, funky and sleek looking phone, albeit slightly podgy as well, that is easy to use.The design is similar to other models available, and reeks of Sony Ericsson, although this is not a bad thing. The joystick in the centre of the phone makes it a breeze to get to where you want to go, whether it be your contacts, text messages, the internet or a more obscure choice. The buttons themselves are solid and a good size so it's easy to get the one you want, and the button located on the side makes connection to the internet an instant action. One note of caution however; approximately 10 weeks after purchasing the v600i, the joystick started to mess up. It would sometimes not respond at all, or if it did, think I was either pressing a different direction or pressing it in to select something. A frustrating... Read review

...To start with this phone has all of the basic features that you can come to expect from a top of the range phone in the market today. It has a 4xZoom camera, 'Flip' answer, interchangable covers, WAP, Java games and many more. Not to forget all of the basic features that have been around on many a phone that has previously been released. One of my favourite features of this phone is the Home screen, on which you can change the icons to ones that are relevant and useful to you.
