...You'll have to forgive me father for I have sinned. I cannot stop giggling every time I look at the Casio Exilim EX-V7 I've had for 2 weeks. I look at it and think about the gas powered calculator I had at school that needed four heavily set blokes to move it because of its size and weight.
Launched in Vegas (baby) in January with much fanfare in the camera press I just had to get my grubby little paws on one, and when I entered a few (17) competitions to win one I was shocked when I got a text message to say that yes Mr Westonsi, you have you jammy bugger won a £270 digital camera.........................sorry, I started giggling again........................
So why did I get more turned on than a lifer on his day of release falling onto the tour bus of Girls Aloud? Well duh, its the slimest digital camera around dumbo...

...I bought this V7 S20PD last summer for £90 or £99 i think.
I was worried a little bit that it would not bit good enough for the price that i paid. remember it's 20".
what is a surprise! it's all well -packed. guarantees, instructions. build-in pair of speakers, no dead pixels, you can adjust brightness contract, tilt, hang on the wall - very nice design by the way. I looked at some famous brands to compare. and specifications on V7 are as goods as those or even better! which is nice :-)
so if you are not addicted to particular brands get one of this.
i think it's in Germany which is also pleasing (everything comes from China this days..) and its fantastic and big!
GOOD POINTS: big 20", solid, quality, all bits and bobs that hose hold user wish for (like me!)
BAD POINTS: if you a big fan of listing music get a speaker unit...

Review of V7 S20PD
Advantages: Beautiful display, not overly large, great value Disadvantages: Cannot adjust the angle of the monitor
...I have been running the Videoseven L22WD for around 5 months now, and I must say I am very impressed.
I run the resolution at 1600x1200 and the display is crystal clear, great for playing games, watching films or TV, video or graphics editing, and can fit 2 A4 pages onscreen in Microsoft Word.
A lot of monitors about 20.1" can get very expensive. However, when I spotted this V7 for £230 at the time, I knew it was a bargain. I was completely correct. I have fallen in love with the monitor. However - beware! You could fall in love with the widescreen and never be able to go back to that small 17" ever again. I think this is the case for myself!
The only problems I have had with this monitor has been with Flight Simulator X - But this may have been something to do with my graphics card. Games such as Battlefield and Medieval Total...

...Having used several anti virus programs over the last 3 to 4 years I decided to try McAfee as I had always had problems with the others.
When I purchsed v7 a few months ago I found it to be very easy to install and set up. I ran well in the back ground, occasionally giving me a warning that an email atatchment might contain a virus.
Updating the software on a regular basis couldnt be easier, the software automatically checks for updates when you are online or you can ask the program to check for these updates. If any are found it wil download and install them for you, what could be easier?
A few days ago I did have a problem with the software ( it wouldn't update ) however McAfee have an excellent help system on thier website, if you cant find the answer to your problem there you can chat with one of thier technicians vie thier...

...The jewel in Adobes crown, Photoshop is simply the most powerful piece of imaging software that there is. My love affair started with version 2, way back when, and each new incarnation has added life saving tricks to the sizeable toolbox.
Version 7 refines all the rough edges of version 6 which initially left me cold. I think the change of interface was always going to divide the followers, and after so many years of shortcutting my way to palettes and expanding tool options, to suddenly have them appear up in the top menu bar was a huge kick in the ribs. Be warned then, if you are about to upgrade from 5 or earlier, expect a little time to get used to the minor but still rather alarming change of layout.
So, that minor quibble aside, just what does Photoshop do? Well, from version 6 onwards, practically everything. Previously...
