...I love this idea, whoever thought this up is a genius. A lot of families have storage problems my main pain in the backside is lack of room for excess bedding that i keep spare for guests and what not, So this is magnificent, how the air can be sucked out of the bag with any pipe vacuum cleaner and reduce the size of package to less than a quarter of the size. Brilliant for duvets and pillows i might add and to top it all off it keeps all those bugs away and when you do unpack them they smell as good as the day you washed them and put the items in there. ..., the vacuum never gets put away, it just lurks, usually at the top of the stairs, ready to trip anyone foolish enough to stroll unwarily through our house. (sorry Auntie Mabel, I'm sure your hip will mend in time). Other things I could say about this vacuum are: it's purple, it's very light (6kg) so it makes cleaning the stairs a doddle, the tubes are too short - I'm 5'6" and I have to hunch over too much and my back aches (another non-hoovering excuse) so if you are taller than me, forget it or get a massage-willing partner. Oh yeah and THE DUST BAGS ARE TINY! On no account purchase this machine if you have hair-shedding pets. One bag will last half a room. ...Having recently had a baby I have come to realise that they grow out of things pretty quickly! Hopefully we plan to have more children so I didnt really want to dispose of the clothes that he had grown out of so I discovered vacuum seal bags! They are a wonderful invention! I have used two different types so far - one from Lakeland and one from La Redoute catalogue. I have to say that although I normally swear by Lakeland, the ones from La Redoute are better! They cost approximately £14 and you get two in a pack (they come in two different sizes). The beauty of these bags is that they also come with an outer bag which gives a bit more protection from puncturing the bag!
