Fangs for a great film!

Advantages: Cruise, Pitt and Dunst; direction; music and presentation
Disadvantages: Nothing, although it's violent and quite long

...of the film, the only occasional moment of rashness and anger overwhelming them to provide anything less than fluidity. What is clever is the use of classical music to accompany these moods, slow string movements in the calmer moments with some more frenetic and intense elements at the relevant times. It's a key part ot an excellent film. IWTV is a film I highly recommend. One of the better 'modern' vampire films that relies on special effects only when necessary, braving the roles of director and actors to show the film's worth. It works very well, and is majestically presented, and likely to keep you watching throughout, not just the first time you watch, but the inevitable second, third etc times you settle down to indulge. Go on, get your fangs out!...

Review of Interview With The Vampire (DVD)

The Beast of Fang Rock is Back!

Advantages: Good Story, Good sets and music
Disadvantages: Disappointing monster

...A BBC DVD release of one of the stories from the late 70's high point of the original Doctor Who series. PLOT 'Horror at Fang Rock' is part of the 15th season of the show and features one of my favourite assistants Leela the savage warrior. It is essentially a Victorian horror story set on an isolated light house on a small island of the Scottish coast. As in another of his adventures 'The Leisure Hive' the Doctor is trying to get to the opening of Brighton pier. In that story he turns up 200 years too late, this time the time might be about right but the location is wrong. On exiting the TARDIS and seeing the dark fogbound inhospitable rocky terrain Leela states she doesn't think much of Brighton to which the Doctor replies that the landscape doesn't look like Brighton or even Hove...but it could be Worthing!...Quite funny...

FANGS FOR THE MEMORIES!

Advantages: Plenty and varied Special Features.
Disadvantages: Not the best story in the world.
