...When sorting out my dads possessions we discovered a couple of corgi model cars one was a model of a ford model T van with Lyons tea advertising on its side. Corgi is a Northampton firm that started making colorful pressed metal toys in 1930. In 1956 the first corgi model cars appeared. These cars are now collector's pieces. The corgi Lyons tea van that I found was made around 1985. It was made as a collector's model. These cars are not really made for young children but for those aged over 14. This model van measures 9cm long by 4cm wide it is 5 cm tall. This van is I believe a true copy of a Ford model T van. The Lyons tea van is made of a blue dye cast metal. On the side of the van are the Lyons name in gold and the company address in black. The roof of the van is white the radiator trim gold the wheels gold with black...

Review of Corgi Ford Model T Van Lyons Tea

VAN HELSH**

Advantages: Great theme tune and some good action sequences.
Disadvantages: Overuse of CGI, bad writing and a waste of money.

...I went to see Van Helsing the past weekend and I wasn't all that impressed. I mainly went to see the film because it looked good from the trailer and the fact that it was made by the director of one of my favourite films 'The Mummy'. It just shows you how important trailers are nowadays to the movie industry. Even a crap film with a good trailer can do well. For example Charlie Angels: Full Throttle, what a bad film, but it had an excellent trailer with that loud prodigy music blarring. Anyway back to Van Helsing. The movie opened in the U.S with about 50 something million dollars in total and will probably make a lot next week too. Though I'm not sure it will make it's £180 million budget back in America alone. This flick will have to take some hard earned cash from the worldwide box-offce. Van for the Money

Advantages: Tremendous fun that doesn't take itself seriously
Disadvantages: Shoddy CGI in places, more plot holes than a colander

If neither is applicable to you but you are interesting in an insight into the tragic workings of a genius, this is also a must. Review of Townes Van Zandt - Be Here To Love Me (DVD)

Van-tastic

Advantages: Brilliant script writing that keeps the film flowing.
Disadvantages: Wish I had a personal assistant...

...even more suggestive sucking sounds, all is revealed however when the screen pulls back and we see her measuring his leg to adjust his trousers and sucking a lollipop. I knew straight away I was in for a good show. We immediately see that Van is an incredibly popular and highly respected young man; he has been at Coolidge College for seven years and in that time has made quite a name for himself. He is so popular he even has assistant auditions; the lucky candidate gets to help Van with the planning of fundraising events for charity, parties and Vans general admin. After sampling all Coolidge has to offer Van still hasn't found a worthy assistant, enter Taj Mahal Badalandabad (Kal Penn). Wilder van your average college

Advantages: Mindless humour
Disadvantages: Can be annoying in places

...I expected to hate this & was surprised to find it was very funny., very well made & some excellent set pieces. It's the story of Van Wilder, a slacker, a loser and and underachiever who just can't get on in school. The rather disgusting but very funny scene of the rich kids eating the dog cum cakes. The fact that the rich boyfriend couldn't have sex for longer than 10 seconds. The film is generally a large amount of National Lampoons Animal House and some good characters. Van Wilder is excellently played, not too hard & not too far. All the main actors work very hard especially Van's 2 room mates who develop very well during the course of the movie. It's nice to see the back story of how Van helps the nerds & the swim team & various other less popular people of the school. I didn't really care too much for the girlfriend...

Van Halen- Definitive?

Advantages: Good quantity/ quality
Disadvantages: Confusing tracklist

...hits as Jump, Hot for Teacher, Panama, Ain't Talking Bout Love, Runnin with the Devil, The Cradle will Rock, and Eruption, the song that changed the face of guitar forever. David Lee Roth left the band in early 1985 and was replaced by former Montrose singer Sammy Hagar. Hagar ushered in a new sound and different approach, gone were basic guitar driven rock songs and in were complex musical arrangements utilising more keyboards. Van Zant all the way

Advantages: Great music and lyrics, vocals
Disadvantages: A couple of weaker links

...and is one of the best of the middle bunch of tracks on the album. One that is very good but not quite as good as the best but better than just good if you catch my drift. 7. I Can't Help Myself This is a lovely slow ballad which has a nice country feel. Johnny's voice has a nice Country rock twang on the track and this is one of the best slower tracks I have heard from Van Zant. A really good gentle track which is really well done. 8. I'm Doin' Alright This is a rockier track than the previous track and has a great catchy feel that pictures the scene of this track being performed in a bar in the deep south with the locals dancing around. Review of Get Right With The Man - Van Zant

Van-Quishing Vampires!

Advantages: great CGI, easy "no brainer" film
Disadvantages: Dracula is camp, a bit predictable.

...then of the CGI were-beasts. It was realistic and horrific and it was only common sense coupled with foreknowledge that tipped me off that it was in fact computer generated. Van Helsing has come in for quite a beating from critics far and wide and it is not a truly remarkable film but it is, in my opinion, a good no-brainer. I sat, I watched and I was entertained and really, that's all I ask for from a film anyway. Now if you're looking for something scary and horrific, you will be disappointed. Ciao even has this listed as a horror film, and I think that's wrong. It's definitely a fantasy film, not a horror. There are a few moments that made me go "ewww." And as such this isn't a film for the overly squeamish, but it isn't a horror film, it's not scary or gory enough and if you're looking for horror here, you'll be disappointed...
