...Not many bands sum up good time rock n roll better than Van Halen, Their mix of cheeky lyrics and innovative music videos coupled with the undoubted talent of the members of the band ensured them massive succsess and a reputation as a "cool" band to like. This hits package gives a fairly accurate account of most of Van Halens famous songs, obviously some fans would point to certain omissions but as a whole this ticks most boxes. Van Halen when they burst onto the scene consisted of guitarist Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alex Van Halen, bass player Michael Anthony, and singer David Lee Roth. This line up often dubbed "Classic Van Halen" rode high on the back of meat and potatoes rock songs punctuated with Eddie Van Halens virtuoso guitar technique and David Lee Roths hugley charismatic stage presence. ...Introduction - My friend Tim introduced to the film, he clearly had a misconception about what University (English version of College) would be like, turns out his false ideas all spawned from one film, Van Wilder: Part liaison. The film was released in 2002 as a comedy and was directed by Walt Beckers. The lead male role is played by Ryan Reynolds, an at the time fairly new actor who has since continued to play similar comedy based roles in films such as 'Just Friends'. Advantages: Good Graphics, Great costumes.
Disadvantages: Wouldn't call a horror!!!! Not very Scary

...Right I have put this in my disadvantages but need to state it again. This is not a horror movie. The characters that are portrayed in this movie may suggest a horror. But it is far from scary. We all know the story of Van Helsing and Dracula. Portrayed very well in the classics as an old man.. This is different, very different. We see Van Helsing as a younger man, much stronger and agile. Gone has the lurking in the corner trying to prise dracula out or preaching, replaced by fancy gadgets for killing and hands on approach for getting the job done. The movie starts in black and white, yes don't try and bang your T.V or think you brought a dud! with Frankenstien being brought to life and Dracula helping. ...Well this double CD beast of a release from the 70’s and 80’s rocks legends contains 36 tracks of their greatest hits; with 3 live version of some of their most famous songs. Some of these tracks are even previously unreleased tracks too, so there is something to keep any fan happy! 2h 35min and 26 seconds of value for money! 01 – Eruption A blindingly fast and furious opener. It is his trademark tapping soloing work, the tune although not fantastic is enjoyable. 02 – It’s about time Opens with a damn cool metal sounding riff, which almost doesn’t sound like Van Halen at all until the singing starts. This is one of the tracks previously unreleased, and its pleasantly good, not too different from the classics, but it shows they still have it. ...When sorting out my dads possessions we discovered a couple of corgi model cars one was a model of a ford model T van with Lyons tea advertising on its side. Corgi is a Northampton firm that started making colorful pressed metal toys in 1930. In 1956 the first corgi model cars appeared. These cars are now collector's pieces. The corgi Lyons tea van that I found was made around 1985. It was made as a collector's model. These cars are not really made for young children but for those aged over 14. This model van measures 9cm long by 4cm wide it is 5 cm tall. This van is I believe a true copy of a Ford model T van. The Lyons tea van is made of a blue dye cast metal. On the side of the van are the Lyons name in gold and the company address in black. The roof of the van is white the radiator trim gold the wheels gold with black... Read review

...The shops are awash with "Best of" compilations which turn out to contain one top twenty single and a heap of instantly forgettable fillers. It is very rare to find one which is packed full of quality music. The Best of Van Morrison is one of the later. Make no mistake, this is the genuine article. This CD contains twenty mainly outstanding tracks from Ireland's hero. If you think you don't know any Van songs then this recording may surprise you. It certainly surprised me. The majority of these tracks are commonplace on the likes of Virgin and Radio 2's Johnny Walker show. (and no doubt on other decent radio stations I don't get in deepest Aberdeenshire) While a little young for Van at his peak I was aware of his music although I had never bought any. ...what id expect of Ryan Reynolds. Its also a nice love story, you can see all the way through how they both feel about it but they just cant see it themselves. Its hilarious when the film shows you him in high school. Definately a must see movie if you like your chick flick comedy. ...I absolutely adore Van Halen. Their music is inspiring, eveything about them just shows that with a little hard work, you can acheive anything. Eddie van Halen has to be one of the most amazing guitarists of all time, introducing tapping to the scene, something that had NEVER been done before. Dave Lee Roth, the wild child, full of inspiration and constantly causing crazy happenings. They're a team of guys just out to show everyone that their music is great. And it is. When this album came out I wasn't too excited, because I don't normally go for 'greates hits' albums, they're too cliche. I like to appreciate bands for their quirky hits. But this album is hard to stay away from. Van Halens classics are just unbeatable, so having them on one album is just perfect. there's 'eruption' for people with a desire to hear the solo that rocked... Read review
