Vango's Erections
Review of Vango TBS Equinox 600 Tunnel Tent by  sdwill

Advantages: Lightweight, spacious, well made
Disadvantages: fiddly to put up

...It’s only an op about a tent……honestly! Who’s that fella Vango anyway………….?! I consider myself a hardened camper. My experiences range from a bivvy bag above the Boulder Ruckle in Swanage, to a budget Millets 2-pole tent on the Orkneys, from family holidays in Harlech under a vast canvas and steel construction to New Years Eve in a Vango Force Ten Mk5 in Langdale, as well as several seasons in the Swiss Alps, plus many, many other trips. I have camped in rain, wind, sleet, snow, sun and thunderstorms. I have pitched a tent halfway up a mountain, in tropical jungle, in a lay-by and on the beach. I have had my tents blown away, been soaked to the skin, eaten by midges, infested by ants (and once a hedgehog) and still come back for more. Right, we thought, it’s time to introduce the children to this fabulous pastime... Read review

Vango Predator 450
Review of Vango 400 Predator by  chriscookson

Advantages: Warm, Extreme
Disadvantages: Size

...The Vango Predator 450 is a flagship synthetic bag packed with features to make this one of the best bags proving plenty of bang, for your buck. "The Predator range of sleeping bags is designed for use at the extreme limit. Available in mummy or square. Predators will be used by experienced campers, mountaineers and expedition members who will only use the highest performance sleeping bag suitable for the most hostile environments. Highly compressible Dupont Thermolite Extra is used in conjunction with Thermolite Micro for the ultimate warmth to weight ratio." As stated this bag is for use in slightly more 'wild' conditions, where some down bags would provide to much heat and most synthetic bags wouldnt provide enough. Although this bag has the disadvantage with most synthetic bags, the size, it does hold most of the properties... Read review

Vango Venture 500
Review of Vango Venture 500 by  PaulineLees

Advantages: Good Size, Brilliant Value, High Quality, Sturdy, Easy to Erect
Disadvantages: None that I can think of!

...I purchased my Vango Venture 500 towards the end of 2006. For the bargain price of £85.00 and I haven't looked back since! Numourus camping trips have bee happily spent in this tent and it will see many more! The frame consists of 2 large poles crossing over to make the main dome, and a 3rd smaller pole creating a loop for the porch area. Once erect, with all pegs and guide ropes in place the tent is extremely strong and stable. We have camped in strong winds and strong rain and it has stood strong throughout. As long as there are two of you, erecting the tent is a swift and easy process. Funnily enough you tend to erect it faster when its raining! And packing it back into the bag is an art the first time but you tend to remember how to do it from then onwards and it's easy enough. When packaged, the tent is relatively heavy... Read review

tom tom 700 great peace of kit
Review of TomTom GO 700 by  zeb2cool2b

Advantages: great speed reliablity and just plain fun
Disadvantages: size, some times crashes

...Tom-tom's are first and foremost the best gps line I have ever seen in my store iv been lucky enough to test drive most the main branded gps's in the last year. Tom-tom 300, 500, 700 are right up there with the pro's for good prices. This review is obviously on the Tom-tom 700 though you may want to read my other reviews on the other two when I get them up to compare. In my opinion the 700 is the only in car entertainment that you need (except for a stereo). It has inbuilt Bluetooth to connect to a Bluetooth enabled phone. You can make and receive calls, right, send and read text messages and even accesses a built in phone book for phone numbers for restaurants, hotels, clubs, hospitals ext. A very large amount of the built in points of interest have a number to call for information or bookings. And the best thing of all is it can... Read review

k700i
Review of Sony Ericsson K700i by  afraser

Advantages: Excellent value, excellent colour screen, good battery life, attractive design.
Disadvantages: VGA resolution camera, no expandable memory, poorly built joystick

...I bought the Sony Errisson K700i for £89.99 ($154) in the UK. In the store, the K700i had the most features for its price. In terms of design, the K700i has a nice candybar design. From the reverse, the phone looks a camera, and from the front a phone. The K700i is averagely thin, with buttons on the sides (a volume rocker, camera button, and online key etc.). At the base is a charger and headset jack (the K700i comes supplied with a wired headset which can be used to listen to music, radio and used as a headset during calls). At the top is a dedicated power button. The K700i performs all the usual calling, texting, and Internet services well, although some will miss no dedicated talk and end keys. The joystick is nice, but over time it will begin to be less responsive. The keypad is slightly cramped, but it is quite tactile... Read review

My wonderful E700
Review of Samsung SGH E700 by  retroactyv

Advantages: Great camera quality
Disadvantages: read below

...After receiving my brand new E700, the first thing I saw was the clamshell design. I wouldnt normally go for this because I've heard they break easily. I haven't been disappointed yet. THE LOOK Very stylish. It has a tiny battery, an external colour LCD so you can see who's calling, volume control buttons on one side, with a camera button on the other side. I will go into more detail about this later. It is also small and lightweight. The buttons are nicely arranged, unlike most Nokias, which sometimes look a bit untidy and are difficult to press. The TFT screen is quite large and eye-pleasing. FEATURES The Samsung E700 features are: High (and I mean high) quality digital VGA camera 40-chord polyphonic ringtones GPRS Java games Sound recorder MMS/EMS CAPABILITIES Unlike most phones that can only take one format... F700
Review of Samsung SGH F700 by  Leo16

Advantages: Excellent features
Disadvantages: Needs a WIFI

...The Samsung F700 is a great touch screen phone. It comes with a 2.78 inch TFT 262K colour screen. It has a 3 megapixel with autofocus and flash. It has different photo effects. It also has a second camera for video calling. The video recorder records in MP4 format with different quality levels. It also has a video streaming feature. When looking at the messaging features of the Samsung F700 it allows you to send SMS, EMS, MMS and E-mails. These are all great features and not all mobile phones offer these features especially the E-mail feature which is great. The Samsung F700 has a music player which plays a variety of formats including MP3 which is the most popular format. You can also make your own play list for your favourite songs. It has polyphonic ringtone as well as MP3 ringtones and you can also have vibration alerts... Read review

s700i - The swivel phone
Review of Sony Ericsson S700i by  mjrobert

Advantages: Good features, large screen, swivel design
Disadvantages: Large in size, heavy

...Looking at the S700i you would see a rather large swivel phone, or at least that is what I saw. The S700i's dimensions are 107.5 x 49 x 24.5 mm (taken from the sony ericsson website). Which is rather large compared to similar phones. However, the design concept that Sonyericsson had in mind whilst developing this phone was to combine the features of a digital camera and mobile phone. The large size does give the phone the feel of a digital camera when it is held on its side. CAMERA: The camera on the S700i is 1.3MP and offers high quality images and video recording. The camera also comes with a large number of features and settings such as night mode, 8x digital zoom, frames and an inbuilt light. As stated earlier the resemblance to a digital camera is seen by the protective shutter on the back face of the S700i. There is a slight... Read review

AT700 - The Choice of Pro's!
Review of Yonex Armortec 700 Badminton Racket by  JaYmEZ

Advantages: Powerfull, excellent for singles
Disadvantages: Cost, head heavy, not so great for doubles play.

...SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM FOR THE SIMPLE ROUND UP FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF BADMINTON - JUST ADDED IT ! Yonex - Manufacturer Armortec 700 - Model Armortec Series (AT) - Range This is a badminton racket before we start looking at anything, and being honest its for mainly advanced singles players, and used almost exclusively by a lot of international players.. If you are new to badminton ill try to explain the technical jargon as best I can, but the first things you will need to know is that Yonex are the Microsoft of the badminton world. The current range of Armortec rackets contains the AT800Offensive, AT800Defensive, AT700 (discontinued but still available) AT500, AT300 and AT150 being the lowest, cheapest and thus most budget of the range. Sony RDX-700 CD receiver
Review of Sony RXD700 by  marais

Advantages: Elegant, classic and minimalistic design: A beauty
Disadvantages: No CD-Text, plastic CD door

...I bought my RXD-700 CD-Receiver a couple of years ago and still marvel at its pure design: A dominating volume knob, just the required buttons to switch between tuner, cd and an aux input, and a prominent VFD display. All other buttons - of which there are plenty - are accessible behind a latch and hidden most of the time. I bought the RXD-700 because of its elegant design, and because the name Sony inspired confidence in its inner values. I have not been disappointed, both the design as well as the electronics and mechanics stood the test of time. Now, this is not high-end receiver, it is not conceived for the power- or feature-hungry user, and for many, the sheer idea of packing a CD player in a receiver is reason alone not to buy this unit. Maybe this is why the unit never sold in huge numbers, and apparently was not a big hit... Read review
