...It’s only an op about a tent……honestly! Who’s that fella Vango anyway………….?! I consider myself a hardened camper. My experiences range from a bivvy bag above the Boulder Ruckle in Swanage, to a budget Millets 2-pole tent on the Orkneys, from family holidays in Harlech under a vast canvas and steel construction to New Years Eve in a Vango Force Ten Mk5 in Langdale, as well as several seasons in the Swiss Alps, plus many, many other trips. I have camped in rain, wind, sleet, snow, sun and thunderstorms. I have pitched a tent halfway up a mountain, in tropical jungle, in a lay-by and on the beach. I have had my tents blown away, been soaked to the skin, eaten by midges, infested by ants (and once a hedgehog) and still come back for more. ...I purchased my Vango Venture 500 towards the end of 2006. For the bargain price of £85.00 and I haven't looked back since! Numourus camping trips have bee happily spent in this tent and it will see many more! The frame consists of 2 large poles crossing over to make the main dome, and a 3rd smaller pole creating a loop for the porch area. Once erect, with all pegs and guide ropes in place the tent is extremely strong and stable. We have camped in strong winds and strong rain and it has stood strong throughout. As long as there are two of you, erecting the tent is a swift and easy process. Funnily enough you tend to erect it faster when its raining! And packing it back into the bag is an art the first time but you tend to remember how to do it from then onwards and it's easy enough. When packaged, the tent is relatively heavy... Read review

...Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron **************************** I'm not a big fan of animated movies, so when my sister bought back a copy of the latest DreamWorks movie a good few years ago now, I was very unimpressed. I initially tried to think of every excuse going, I mean classics like Beauty and the Beast and Lady and the Tramp are fine, but a film about talking horses? Anyway, she talked me into it, and hence my review begins…. The actors….voices ****************** Obviously the actors would look a bit silly thrown into an animated movie so just their voices were used. The star of the movie (Spirit the mustang stallion) is voiced by Matt Damon who tells the tale brilliantly, I never once doubted that the horse Spirit was talking to me (ok, maybe exaggerating a little there but he was good). ...not satisfied. One day, it happened. I was watching a television program. It showed the previews of some new released movie. There is an animated animal story, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. At first, I thought it was Disney' s, so I was not impressed. But, wow, in the preview, there is no talking animal (in human language). Hey, what is this? Then I searched for more information about this movie. This is the first information I got. And it made me happy. So it was right that there is no chattering animal in this movie. Actually, there is a narrator in this movie, plays as the Spirit' s voice. So, it just as Spirit tells his story to us. But in the "picture", there is no animal conversation. That is good. But why did they put human expressions in those animals? Yes, the animals are not chattering, but they communicate with their own language... Read review

...Spirit Messenger I was fortunate enough to go to Stoke Theatre and see Gordon Smith on the 21st April this year. It was really strange, there are quite a few mediums in the public eye at the moment, but I have not felt drawn to any of them like I have with Gordon Smith. After the initial excitement of having a ticket and knowing that I was going to see him 'live', I remembered that my husband had bought me 'Spirit Messenger' for Christmas the previous year. So off I went to my 'Meditation Room' (sounds posh, doesn't it, but in reality it is the box room which was my daughters bedroom and she has now left home). ...Spirits Bay Manuka Honey is not like any other honey I have ever tried. For example, it has a unique taste to it. It is difficult to describe. To say it has an earthy taste to it does not do it justice. For the description would leave a lot to be desired. It tastes like honey used to taste (before they all went high tech and industrial) but there's a little something else, too. Something deliciously herbal about it, I would have to say. Mind you, Spirits Bay Manuka Honey is not just honey. It is made in only one part of New Zealand.
