...I bought the peppa pig camper van for my three year old son at christmas. He had been going on about it for months and by the time I got round to buying it they were out of stock in a lot of the shops so I started to panic as this was obviously one of the 'must have' toys this year. Luckily I got one in woolworths for £19.99! On christmas morning he was over the moon when he opened it so that was worth the £19.99 for a start. When it came to opening it, it was not easy! As with many toys theres loads of cardboard, sellotape and plastic ties, it probably took about half an hour to get out of the packaging! The set comprises of the camper van (the top comes off) with fully functional awning. This is operated with a dial at the side of the roof. VAN HELSH**

Advantages: Great theme tune and some good action sequences.
Disadvantages: Overuse of CGI, bad writing and a waste of money.

...I went to see Van Helsing the past weekend and I wasn't all that impressed. I mainly went to see the film because it looked good from the trailer and the fact that it was made by the director of one of my favourite films 'The Mummy'. It just shows you how important trailers are nowadays to the movie industry. Even a crap film with a good trailer can do well. For example Charlie Angels: Full Throttle, what a bad film, but it had an excellent trailer with that loud prodigy music blarring. Anyway back to Van Helsing. The movie opened in the U.S with about 50 something million dollars in total and will probably make a lot next week too. Though I'm not sure it will make it's £180 million budget back in America alone. This flick will have to take some hard earned cash from the worldwide box-offce. Advantages: Tremendous fun that doesn't take itself seriously

...When sorting out my dads possessions we discovered a couple of corgi model cars one was a model of a ford model T van with Lyons tea advertising on its side. Corgi is a Northampton firm that started making colorful pressed metal toys in 1930. In 1956 the first corgi model cars appeared. These cars are now collector's pieces. The corgi Lyons tea van that I found was made around 1985. It was made as a collector's model. These cars are not really made for young children but for those aged over 14. This model van measures 9cm long by 4cm wide it is 5 cm tall. This van is I believe a true copy of a Ford model T van. The Lyons tea van is made of a blue dye cast metal. Wilder van your average college

Advantages: Mindless humour
Disadvantages: Can be annoying in places

...I expected to hate this & was surprised to find it was very funny., very well made & some excellent set pieces. It's the story of Van Wilder, a slacker, a loser and and underachiever who just can't get on in school. The rather disgusting but very funny scene of the rich kids eating the dog cum cakes. The fact that the rich boyfriend couldn't have sex for longer than 10 seconds. The film is generally a large amount of National Lampoons Animal House and some good characters. Van Wilder is excellently played, not too hard & not too far. All the main actors work very hard especially Van's 2 room mates who develop very well during the course of the movie. It's nice to see the back story of how Van helps the nerds & the swim team & various other less popular people of the school. I didn't really care too much for the girlfriend...
