Advantages: Fantastic variety of genres to cover Chage & Aska's amazing legacy
Disadvantages: Some lyrics aren't directly or loosely translated from the originals

..., albeit in English which isn't his best language. Always been a personal favourite of mine. Track 10) Marianne Faithfull - Lies The original to this, "Lies", or "Uso" sung by Chage, is one of the most emotive songs they've produced. There is a real sense of loneliness and sadness caused by a lover, but at the end shows that life isn't so bad. Unfortunately Marianne Faithfull just sounds bitter as if she's out for revenge. The music is somewhat close to the original, but in my opinion was ruined by MF's vocals and poor translation of the lyrics. Track 11) Wendy Matthews - Walk The best cover by another artist on this track for Chage & Aska. Wendy Matthews put across an almost very good translation for Chage & Aska's "Walk". Really nice to listen to Overall, a good album. Chage & Aska and Wendy Matthews were the highlights... Read review

Duffy - Mercy This is a song of Duffy's debut album that made it straight to number one from the first internet download releases. Her music is said to be similar to the music from Amy Winehouse. Duffy is originally from Wales and became famous from a talent show. *2. Rihanna - Don't Stop The Music A catchy very lively song by Rihanna similar to some of her other releases favourite of mine on this album. This song is from Rihanna's album 'Good Girl Gone Bad'. *3. Basshunter - Now You're Gone I had heard this song before I heard it by Basshunter not sure where but it was familiar, a really fast easy to get into song. Advantages: Well compiled collection
Disadvantages: Not all best tracks included

...quite as well as others but whose contribution to Soul is an important one. Possibly Taylor’s adaptability for singing in various styles from Soul, Funk, R&B and later Disco precluded his ability to make any one style his own, nevertheless the tracks included here and his biggest hit "Who's Making Love?" show off his vocal ability and his easy singing style to perfection. It is a bit strange however that two other of his tracks "I Had a Dream", "I've Got to Love Somebody's Baby" (both written by the team of Isaac Hayes and David Porter) are missing. No Stax compilation would be complete without some tracks by a legend of Blues guitar Albert King. ‘Born Under A Bad Sign’ the title track form the classic album of the same name in included on Disc 1 and it is a classic in every sense of the word being later covered by many other artist... Advantages: Pure pop all in one concert, great nostalgia trip
Disadvantages: Will be lost on a lot of young people

.... This is made of high quality glossy card and contains the actual discs themselves. The box is basically 5 fold and closes in on itself. On opening the box fully, the sections which hold the individual discs is filled with a colourful picture of a very packed Wembley Stadium, interspersed with a black and white picture of the starving in Africa. This is very cleverly put together and I must admit I had never really noticed this until I came to do this review. The pictures on the front of the discs themselves contain photographs of the various artists who performed at the concerts. As well as the discs, you also get a glossy booklet which, as well as giving you the Track List, also contains hand-written notes by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure when they were arranging the concert line-up, the transcript of Bob Geldof's words taken from... Advantages: Lots of great songs from the eighties
Disadvantages: A few not so great

Track 13 - I Got You Babe - UB40 & Chrissie Hynde This corroboration between UB40 and Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders (Brass in Pocket) fame was a huge hit and to be honest their various styles complemented each other excellently on this track. Track 14 - Love Of The Common People - Paul Young When originally released this song flopped but after universal success with Wherever I Lay My Hat (That's My Home) this was re-released and was another success, peaking at Number 2 in the UK charts. Pretty decent stuff. Track 15 - All Cried Out - Alison Moyet The female half of Yazoo enjoyed a fair amount of success as a solo artist, and this was probably her best offering.
