...I've got all the Back To Love compilations from Hed Kandi of of "classic tracks that gave birth to a whole generation of clubbers", and was listening to this one (well, both CD's in this double-pack actually) in my car earlier today, so though't I'd let you know what I thought... --- CD1 1. "You're gonna miss me" - Turntable Orchestra (original mix) Classic "italian house" piano, and a great baseline 2. "Love will find a way" - Victor Romeo feat. Latrice Brown Nothing special about this one really, a bit of a filler really... 3. "See the day" - Ann Consuelo (Stonebridge mix) What a vocal ! And more italian piano. 4. ...love, and how you would be lost without them. Very sweet song. 16) All You Need Is Love, By Lynden David Hall, (3.29) Yes this is a cover version of the Beatles classic. I have to say, i have never heard of this guy. He seems to Be singing it in a gospel style. I'm not to keen. Doesn't have the sing along factor that the original has. But some may disagree. It all depends on what style of music you like. 17) Sometimes, By Gabrielle (3.54 mins) Gabrielle, is yet another great artist. She has a very rusty voice, Which does this song justice. It's about the different emitions invold in a relationship all the arguments and happy times. The love and the hate! But yet no matter what you feel,and all the arguments, you don't walk away. ...Well I move on now from a War film to do another op on the war kinda them theme and thought I’d write about the NME and War child - 1 love compilation album. Released towards the end of last year the album features cover songs of old classics done by current artists. Some of the covers are superb and others are really dodgy. So without drowning on about the album from every copy sold a percentage went to the War child charity to help children around the world who have been affected by wars destroying their lives. Right onto the actual album itself. There are a lot of big stars involved in this album and that’s what really shows they are committed to charitable causes instead of just making money for themselves. Advantages: Good value for money, great first disc, brilliant tracks.
Disadvantages: Some undeserving hits have been given a place on this album.

...of some of the greatest chart hits in the 1990's, both romantic and dance hits, with such love songs as 'Nothing Compares 2 U' by Sinead O'Connor, and 'Can't Help Falling In Love With You' by UB40, and such dance songs as 'Tubthumping' by Chumbawumba, and ' The Power' by Snap. All four of the songs are still constantly played in nightclubs and on the radio. Thank goodness the songs have stayed popular and not dissappeared with Furbys and Tamagotchis! Disadvantages: The C.D is brilliant, although I must admit, some of the songs don't deserve to be on the album, and I feel that other songs have made a more lasting impression. For example, 'Sweet Like Chocolate' by Shanks & Bigfoot should have been replaced by a Take That song, or possibly East 17s' 'Stay Another Day', as these bands are still recognised quite a bit, and have had more... Disadvantages: Not technically 'acoustic'

...'Acoustic Love' is one of the latest compilation albums to grace the shelves of the music stores. It appears to follow a line of other acoustic albums that were made popular following the 'MTV Unplugged' series. The idea, I guess, is to strip music bare from mixing boards and other electronic intervention so that the listener is entertained by a 'purer' type of music. With nothing more than acoustic guitars, piano, percussion instruments, and possibly a backing of a string quartet the you find out who can really sing. Original Score: PRINCE EDWARD'S SEARCH ~ this has a mincing nature like travelling and climbing stairs, then a triumphal questing, stopping, posing (da da!) and then carrying on as Prince Edward knocks at first one door and then another and climbs floor after floor knocking on doors trying to narrow down the place where Giselle has been taken. Prince Edward's theme is full of self importance. Track 15 Performed by James Marsden, and "Various artists", THAT'S AMORE is a latin-beat seranade-like song in which they sing about love. This particular song really did nothing for me, but it does show off James Marsden's voice. Track 11 Original Score: GIRLS GO SHOPPING Strumming on a guitar or similar, with strings coming in behind. Advantages: All the classics,and some you had forgotten about in one place
Disadvantages: You have got to be in the mood for it

...Not just another compilation album. I actually enjoyed listening to this track,I feel it had substance and some really soppy love songs I havent heard in ages. I feel this album is suitable for almost anyone,its got some cracking tunes on there such as Stay (I Missed You) - Lisa Loeb and Tiny Dancer - Elton John to name but a few.I also feel this album was fun to lsiten to,as you could guess whats tracks matched upto which film (unless of course you cheated and just looked on the back) Either way this album provides all the great love songs all in one place,saving you time and effort in searching around for those tracks that you like listening to or the one of that film that you can never remember what its called. Either way I am starting to babble a little bit now,but what I am trying to get across is that this album is good value... Read review

Advantages: Reminds me of the film

...Before I saw 'Love Actually', I had already seen a few music videos from various artists which included snippets of the film, so I had a fair idea of the music which would be included on the soundtrack. If I love a film, I tend to love the music from the film too, and the soundtrack becomes an automatic addition to my collection, not always cherished though I might add. I bought my copy from CD-WOW when it was released, and I paid £8.99 at the time. The opening track is from Girls Aloud, and is their commercially successful cover of the Pointer Sister's hit 'Jump'. It is not my cup of tea, and although the original song was no work of art, it is a classic in it's own way, and one of those songs that should never really be covered, especially when you have the nerve to run a dance beat over the top of it! ...I have just read a couple of these and thought to myself what better way to let of steam about the bands I can't stand, I will use it as a therapeutic session of aggression relief!!. The bands/artists listed are all despised by me in varying degrees and for various reasons which I will attempt to substantiate using the limited knowledge I have of them, here goes in no particular order of dislike even though they do seem to get worse towards the end. 10. U2- Hold me thrill me kiss me kill me. The one and only single I have purchased by this band because I thought it had a really funky riff in it. ...rendition of this song, albeit more appropriate for the right time of year. Mariah Carey has a good voice for singing this one and I kept finding myself singing it after hearing it the first few times.
